This was the year before the timeless "Christmas Bells" Hershey's Kisses commercial came out. Ogilvy & Mather really outdid themselves with that one. I even forgot the commercial at 0:32 ever existed-and now that I've seen it again, I remember really loving it as a kid.

Show wasn't the same after Buck Owens left the show.
And the whole feel of the show was different when theu tried to "modernize" it with a honky tonk setting

more like a honky tonk in an urban downtown setting; Buck Owens was irreplaceable; no one wanted to see 45-year-old women run around rin Daisy Dukes; and they got rid of the cornfield.
