    Have you heard if Duetz-Fahr is bringing their 3 Series to the US?

      Hi Doug, I asked that question last summer. I was told it’s in the long term plans for PFG to bring them. But with all the issues from last year and looking forward into the next few years, I’d be surprised to see them before 2024 or 2025.

    I was reading about the 6140ttv and I saw Deutz-Fahr offers an autosteer system by replacing the steering wheel with an automatic one. Do you know if you can put an actual steering valve in the front end and leave it with the factory steering wheel? I feel like this would be a much nicer setup. Thanks

    • @tractorben
      @tractorben  Před 2 lety +1

      Far as I know it’s a factory AutoSteer like every other manufacturer uses. The GPS guided system when activated uses steering sensors to make adjustments and keep the machine accurate down to somewhere around 1/2”. Far as the physical steering wheel in the cab, I don’t think that has any bearing on it. Where are you from? If you’re in my territory I’d be happy to find out for you and help you get what you need. Or if you’re outside my service area I will get you connected with the right servicing dealer.

      @@tractorben I'm from central Indiana. I have been dealing with Wakarusa Ag but I haven't bought anything yet. I like the 6140ttv because it offers a ton of features for a really reasonable price. My only thing is I really want a steering valve. This would be my tractor for planting, spraying, and spreading fertilizer. I figure the steering wheel is cheaper but why not spend a few more thousand for a valve if possible. Thanks.

      Those folks will take great care of you. Just one mans opinion, if I was planning to plant and such, before you purchase, take a look at the 6155 or 6175. The Agrotron’s are more suited and carry quite a bit more torque with the 6 cylinder. But of course at this time none of us can be too picky, we are all basically taking whatever is available that will still do the job. Regardless of the model, the whole DF line is value packed. And I’m really glad to hear you’re buying local to you. Saves everyone so much trouble, yourself included. PFG actually just issued a mandate for all dealers to only sell within their service area and to cease marketing to other areas. It also encompassed only advertising at list price. We welcomed the order as we only operate that way. No sense in selling a farmer equipment you aren’t going to service. Thanks for watching my channel and for the messages.

      @@tractorben I would love a 6175ttv, but getting a lot more expensive with one of those. My planter is just a 12 row box planter with no fertilizer, 6140 would probably handle it easy. 6140 would also probably be more nimble for our hay work. My goal is to just get a Deutz-Fahr tractor in the next year. I hope they have made a permanent stay in the United States.

      I would say you have no worry with PFG being in charge. They are stable and made a stand in New Zealand and Australia decades ago. If you want it for spring, I would get all the specs together on what you need and place an order now. With ocean shipping being held up as it currently being used against the American people as a control mechanism, it will take a while for things to come together.

      how can i bleed the brakes

    • @tractorben
      @tractorben  Před 2 lety

      Should be just like any other wet brake system. Use a vacuum or one person to pump and a 2nd to open and close the valve for bleeding. I am not aware of another way.
