If you ever have the pleasure of visiting a MENA country the live call to prayer is much more beautiful and touching...I thought it was the most beautiful sound on earth, I am not muslim. I actually think that this version they use is flat and does not compare. Usually the call moves me to tears but this one was okay.
(personally, cause maybe I've heard the great callers before! Even in Turkey they were very lovely calls, it is not even mena, huge or majority there yet it's still great!)

I heard the muezzins every day in my neighborhood and missed it very much when I went back to my small town in America. I recently began volunteer work to help resettle Afghan refugees and yesterday, I heard the Muslim call to prayer for the first time in almost ten years; I almost began to cry because even though I am not Muslim, it was so familiar and comforting.
Islam is attached to the heart of people. May Allah guide you and us.

@@DebzLife I think Raeen is Muslim, because of the name and his attire, I am from India and here most of the people of both reliegion livein unison and when talking to each other, they refer to their gods interchangeably. they know each other's customs and stuff. and in movies and songs, either term is used to express god regardless of anyone's religion.

Hearing the call to prayer in the caves in cappadoccia in Turkey was an almost spiritual experience and as an atheist, i do not say that lightly
I remember Liam Neeson saying something similar after he visited Istanbul in Turkey. He said he fell in love with it and eventually missed hearing it. Only problem was that the British tabloids immediately started suggesting that he was converting to Islam, after which he had to clarify he wasn't lol
God is just a single artifact. Spirituality, faith, virtue, and community are their own things. I don't know if there's anything divine (I'm agnostic but with a "pet theory"), but like you I can feel the power of spirituality, community, and inner strength.
I don't follow organized religion but I believe that we are all physical extensions of a non-physical Source Energy.
I will say tho, the Muslim Call to Prayer really does give me chills. I'm a vocalist and I really resonate with the chants.

I'm going to be honest. I was born American Christian, and my society taught me to distrust anything middle eastern. It's taken me a lifetime to get over that racism and learn how beautiful the world can be! So many cultures and peoples JUST LIKE ME want to sing, eat, and tell stories. I've grown up really disliking the Muslim call to prayer - for no good reason. Just because my society didn't like it at the time. Just now you three have shown me there really is beauty in those songs and calls. Even if I'm not Muslim I realize I can enjoy it because it's human and I am human. I love you guys.
