2009-10: Some various cab ride & action clips on the UP Martinez, Niles, & Warm Springs subdivisions; incl. footage & stills of a road crossing collision.
Weird how the first few times I went this way I had the same conversation with the conductor I was training with about RV007. I was always confused what I would put in my log if we had anything but a clear. Great video.
great video! i had bittersweet memories watching it as i used to take the Capitol Corridor to Fremont to visit my sister so i could very well have been on any of those trains...sadly, she passed away last year & i no longer live in CA...also, i remember when there was a road crossing at Stege Ave
I think that locomotive was a rebuild of a GP39 (notice the handbrake housing). So it may have been an off-the-shelf from the rebuilder. Maybe electronic. I have negligible interest in horns and bells. Too many years sitting too close to them. Thanks for the comment.
Love the in cab shots! Looks like you had a little excitement. Great video!
Thanks. Had about a dozen or so encounters with vehicles over the years. Fortunately none with (human)casualties. Not my favorite kind of excitement.
I hear you! Nobody wants to be a witness to that or be involved in it yourself.
Thanks Wilz. Only thing I'd like more; longer vids. Entire runs if you've got em. Never tiring. Great stuff.
Thank You for your kind comments. I'm glad you enjoy them.
How often do you upload?

Shellmound was a little confusing the first few times. Thanks for the comment.
Another informative and entertaining video. Thankyou my friend.
I'm glad you enjoyed it. I appreciate your kind comments.
Great video. My old stomping grounds in the East Bay.
Did you notice the SP cantenary uprights along the main near the UP East yard? Thanks again.
Is there a reason why there is no narration?
Most of my viewers don't need it and don't want it.

Thanks for the comments. A lot has changed in that area.
I really enjoy the BNSF Warm Springs local cab ride videos, do you have more footage before it retired?
I'm afraid thats about it for the BNSF on UP footage. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Have a Happy Holidays.
I understand and you have a Happy Holidays as well:)
Great! thanks for sharing!!
Thanks for the comments.
Good stuff, thx for sharing!
You're very welcome. Thanks for the comment.
What kind of horn does the locomotive have at 7:35? I hear the same kind all the time near my house, but I can't figure out what type.

By, any chance do you have old recording of the LA Habra local?
Sorry. The job that I had at the time conflicted with the schedules of those trains.
What do you think, Charlie?
When are you gonna be uploading more roller coaster videos?
Hang in there; I have a few more that I'll post after I get my capture rig working right.
vidwilzvids Ok.
Well that SW8 at the beginning is now scrapped
The old 567's are dropping like flies. Thanks for the comment.
