This is a glitch in Marvel's Spider-Man 2 that lets you play as Venom after New Game Plus. You can fully play and do missions around the whole map and even fight symbiotes as Venom, however don't lose all your health otherwise you will have to do the tutorial all over again.

Honestly a crime that Agent Venom and VENOM are not already built in options for post game free roam.
Harry is in a coma and venom was destroyed, how and why would we be able to play as them after the story?

Hey everyone I just want to say u don’t have to just do the glitch in the lab bc if u do this glitch during the kraven fight u will spawn as venom and have is grab ability and use finishers,I’m just putting this here if people want to use this glitch but want all his moves that are usable in the story
So I tried it, and it did work. But I also found out that if you do it too early you can spawn as spider man in the first part of the mission

@@knightwarrior8337 just keep pressing X, you’ll clip through a building, but go forward, and if you press X a few times after that, you’ll get on a building, and you can jump down. Hope this helps!

Anothrr tip if you dont know, turn the High Contrast Outline to black in accessibility settings to make it look more like Ultimate Spider-Man/ Comic Booky and combine it with the spiderverse FPS effect. Looks awesome
I messaged up the first part of the tutorial but got a very interesting glitch instead where j was able to play as Peter during the venom mission of escaping the building
How do get out of the building but also play as venom in free roam
Venom in the morning: revolutionary
If you are pressing x when the screen goes black and you're getting to Peter standing in the laboratory that means you are pressing x too soon.
I generally wait until the abandoned mission window begins to disappear and press x.
I wish they’d just implement a venom mode for ng+ where we could switch between Spider-Man and venom with ease. There’d be no reason for them to have to change mechanics for him either, just make the player have to switch back to Spider-Man to use vents and other mechanics venom doesn’t already have.

It's about time someone made a video on this. Been using it for a while and I love it. Such a shame you can't make a permanent save.
Let's be honest I don't see them patching this glitch because I think they would be scared to delete people's save files
And make there customers mad and also it's not game breaking like the other venom glitches

hopefully, when that carnage dlc comes out, we can use Venom again. Hopefully.
Pro tip when you do the glitch in your free roam don’t pick up injured civilians or do car crashes or restart the last checkpoint because venom will bug and when you restart the last checkpoint you spawn as Spider-Man
Yeah I found that out today and also don't swim and avoid certain buildings

Yeah it works I tried as soon as it came out
I can confirm that there are poses and all of that especially expressions with the mouth
Im now curious how they are gon do that his animations to be fast as like them maybe he is gon be like Hulk or conbine with them we don't know what they will do but i cannot wait to play this game even you can play as miles as peter and venom thats too much fun

Finally been trying to do it now I can
If you do the glitch while your fighting craven it works and you start already on the ground just make sure to press X as soon as the abandon mission notification goes away
i also found out that when picking up an injured citizen venom will unlock the ability you web zip and web to a point
I really want spider man 2 but i cant get i love it sooo much.
I can almost guarantee when the game ports to PC and modders get their hands on the code, we'll have a fully fleshed out and usable Venom coupled with his own web swinging. Modders have already made animation packs for the previous games, so it wouldn't be so far fetched for a full Venom mod. Imagine if the web swinging is just massive tendrils that shoot out of his arms and return to his body like the Venom movie!
The glitch actually bugged for me and I got run around the oscorp lab as Peter!

I actually just did it lol it’s on my page now
just want to point out if you're going up a building go up it on a flat surface you wont glitch through it you will if you try it on a corner or if there is like garbage cans everywhere
If you fail it in the climbing part you can be spiderman in there
I did this and instead of becoming venom in freeroam, i became spiderman in the area where venom was

Edit : I wish there wasn’t a glitch through buildings and when I hit save gam in manual I become Spider-Man not venom so I have to start it over again. And I hope insomniac don’t patch this glitch like they did all the venom glitches.

@@roddigga1979 right after he died, but I fell through the map so I’m redoing it and I had the same problem with Miles but do it a couple seconds after he die.

Can confirm it works during the Kraven fight as well and you spawn with venom on the ground already.
Also will give him his finishers.

Does work. I did it last night. You gotta hit x after the entire screen goes black. Then you'll spawn as venom.

Yes, you can do the glitch at any point in the Venom mission, so it is better to do it later in the mission. I created a save where I was outside with all the hunters attacking me and do the glitch there. Grabbing the symbiote brutes as Venom

I tried on my regular save and not NG+ and it wasnt working, im assuming its completely exclusive to NG+ then?
U can do it on ur main save that’s how I do it u have to press x after the abandon mission icon leaves the screen then press x

i got it to work once but on my second try doing it it just puts me in the air as venom and i cant move or dash or do anything so i end up falling through the map

I can confirm this glitch does work and it was really fun but after about 3 times successfully doing it my ps5 started to glitch.
After about 5-10mins of playing spider-man 2 my game keeps freezing and unfreezing quickly and doesn't stop until i restart my ps5 but just does it again after a few minutes...
I've tried deleting and re installing (no joy)
I've tried unplugging my ps5 and plugging it back in (still no joy)
This has been happening for over a month and if anyone knows what to do please help!
Whenever I get past the photo mode part it keeps on glitching and not letting back into the menu
Edit: I think the glitch is patched whenever I try to do venom’s jump it won’t let me and I just fall through the map I’ve gone through 10 attempts with the same results either it’s patched or it’s really bugged out
Its not patched after u leave photo Mode just press options 1 time wait 3 seconds and the Menu opens
And of u spawn as Venom u need to jump against the nearest building and Spam x i had the same Problems (if u die as Venom u turn into spiderman again)

Why won’t I venom jump after I click X to abandon mission
gonna give you a little tip that worked for me:
when you click abandon mission and spawn as venom in the sky, I made it so that when I cliked the left arrow on my controller, it makes the game run in slow motion. Then I would drop near a building roof because due to slowmo the game rendered the building and did not phase through them. hope this helps!

You have to press x when the abandon mission screen disappears and the screen goes completely black.
I tried this glitch and instead it keep me inside of the oscorp building
After the screen goes completely black it shows an image of venom. Does that mean I was too late to press X?
You hit as soon as it immediately goes black and the abandon mission option disappears other wise you to late

It's crazy to think that there has never been a venom free from since 2005 ultimate spider-man. You only play as venom for 1 mission while the game is filled with MJ missions and Peter Parker missions. I truly do not understand WHY the developers double down on these boring MJ missions instead of actually fun characters like venom or black cat
How do you? do save game file without it going back to Spider-Man. That’s the only part I am having trouble with and I have to keep redoing the glitch. Stop playing the game.
