In Eastern European countries it's common to listen to Western songs. How many times I've been to Poland I don't know, but every time I've visited an area all you can hear is a popular song from the west blasting across the city/village.

EoinFC True story about the Tatra Mountains: There use to be an endangered species of mountain goat that wandered those hills. Castro came to visit (big communist ally to Slovakia during the Iron Curtain days). He wanted to go hunting the goats.....Slovakian government, not wanting to offend their honoured guest, thinking he might bag a few with a hunting rifle, said OK. Being such an environmentalist and "sportsman", he used a helicopter and mowed them down with a Gatling gun......needless to say, the goats are extinct.
