It was very cool to see some of the top people in the field.
Loved it. Defeating aging is the greatest mission of this century.
strongly disagree. death has value, immense value behind anything evolutionarily driven
@@modernfabian Thanks for sharing your opposite thoughts, Fabian. Can you elaborate wdym by "behind anything evolutionarily driven"? Do you mean you see aging & death as necessary and positive aspects of the evolution of life on Earth and that this is the way it should keep?
@@LongevoByZe yes, it's a position that's in line with the principle of antifragility in collective systems. the goal for individuals isn’t to defeat aging, but to age gracefully.
@@modernfabian I see you! Why is aging necessary in this antifragile system?
It's possible antifragility keeps existing in the system without the necessity of us going through aging. Aging may be one of the attributes of this system today, but it may not always need to be.
It's possible we'll be able to apply all the antifragile stressors and generate all its proper responses (e.g. variability) through bioengineering when necessary. Plus, everything else that "helps" the antifragile system to keep existing (e.g. reproduction) wouldn't necessarily change, only aging would be eliminated but its potential antifragile benefits would still be incorporated into the existing system.
This all takes into consideration an abundant future where resources for basic needs aren't scarce.
I know it sounds easier just to keep things in the way they're at a first glance, but I believe humans together can do anything and nothing should be more valuable than saving lives and the individual consciousness of everyone.
Dr. Victor Dzau is already preparing for a much older, much healthier society.
Nicely produced, directed and highly informative. I enjoyed seeing new faces and ideas. Well done!
Very exciting developments that can give massive healthcare value even today
Thank you for the great movie! Unfortunately, there wasn't enough attention given to the necessity of social changes and activism against aging. Though, perhaps, this topic is so vast that it deserves a separate film. #AgingMustBeStopped
12:35 is that really true ..?
wow science is something
I want to save my family and friends from aging! And we’re fighting 60! We can’t let the age to control our bodies. And we’re fighting teenage rebellion too!
Amazing video, ty NFX
great, makes some hope
As usual, some good content from NFX. I was surprised not to see any mention of Altos Labs in this documentary which to me is the equivalent for Aging/Rejuvenation to what OpenAI is for Gen AI (in terms of Talent, Capital & Research). Maybe I missed it
Not really DYOR
Not really what? You mind elaborating and sharing your POV since you did your own research?
Part II coming soon!
You'll be doing a feature on our AI Longevity solution launching on February 1st in the near future.
Quite ambitious people considering we spent an insane amount of time, money and resources on cancer research, and decades later progress is still ongoing. I like the idea of extending our lifespans, but let's be reasonable and not pretend it will be quick. And no, spending the same amount of money we spent on cancer will not speed it up, the building blocks from basic research and better computing resources will likely keep this going for decades.
Lets gooo !
Sugar and heart operation people use it or not please
I have not aged in 13 years 🎉
Aha. Yeah.
Not much of a "documentary". Wasn't as insightful as I would expect from NFX.
It showed us a handful of companies, where they are at and what they want toa achieve. What else were you looking for? For me it made me even more excited about the space which maybe what NFX wanted to convey.
^Yes - more of a collection of the missions behind some of the top minds in longevity
Well when I get an email from NFX with the subject "The Battle Against Human Aging [An NFX original documentary]", I expect something else than a company presentation clip.
My channel has more...
