While watching the Dodger/Giants game, thinking about Orlando Cepeda, I suddenly remembered this song. The Miller, Hiller, Haller Hallelujah Twist came to mind! As a Dodger fan, and playing Little League, collecting baseball cards, and knowing all the stats, this song brings back great memories. Stu Miller, whose pitching motion I imitated, Chuck Hiller, second base, and Tom Haller, catcher. Those were the days!😊😊😊😊
@@oldiesgeek454 LOL!! Nope but I do remember a father and son sitting behind me and the dad left early to beat the traffic. The kid was about 10 and was crying because they were leaving. Once in a while I think about that and if the kid now lies to people and tells them he was there and saw the homer. Or maybe he just moved out and never spoke to his dad again. I never leave early. Anything can happen in baseball.
@@musicairplanes4884 That's just insane! I can see trying to beat the traffic during a regular season game, but the WS? Never! This is why fans of other teams make fun of Dodger fans leaving early... 😄
Haven't heard this since I was a kid...amazing how many of the lyrics I remember. My wife was amazed and simultaneously sad. The Hiller-Miller-Haller Hallelujah twist. Love it.
I was waiting for a streetcar on Market Street near Powell in San Francisco, years ago. I sang a bit of the song to some other people waiting, ending with "J-I-N-T-S---JINTS!" They said, "Step out on the streetcar tracks!" :D

Woke this morning thinking of this song. Couldn't get it out of my mind and that lead me here!! LOL!!!
Today is the perfect time to sing it again! 😊
@@oldiesgeek454 Absolutely. I was lucky enough to be at the Gibson game in 1988 and have been waiting for 32 years since then.
@@musicairplanes4884 Well lucky you! So that wasn't your car taillights in the parking lot as Gibson hit it out?... 😉

SO I SAY D
I taped this song off a Dr. Demento broadcast; 40 years later I still remember every word.
As a Giants fan, I loved this song as a child and it still makes me laugh as an adult

This is the first time i've heard the entire song. I've heard the intro many times, however, and it makes me smile every time.
This song is available on iTunes complete, no problems, and remastered.
Great post. Needed to listen to this with our Dodgers teetering on the edge.
Danny Kaye great Brooklyn dodger fan
RIP Orlando Cepeda
The ending of the song has been left out!
Fine video, but the last part of the song is missing. You ought to fix that.
I LOVED the Dodger teams of this era! POOR Ron Fairly! You do know you're missing the last part of the song?
Dodgers RULE
