Crasharama 12 | Smeatharpe Stadium | 31st May 2010 | Unlimited Bangers

On the 31st May 2010 Smeatharpe Stadium hosted its 12th annual Crasharama event for the Unlimited cc National Bangers.
This meeting attracted several of the sports biggest teams & drivers including the Bears, Midnight Runners, Color Purple, Team Extreme, Fagass, Spoons & many more. Also with plenty of impressive machinery on show none more so than #127 Bungle's Cadillac Excalibur Limousine which was over 25 foot long.
This video shows the Final from the days event which ended up being a 2 part special with the chaos of crashing that ensued on the opening laps of the first attempt of the race.
Drivers were given an hours repair time for the rerun which was also a destructive affair which finally did go the distance with #47 Marcus A'Lee taking the title...

I have never seen such dreadfull driving. Not even on an English motorway on a Sunday morning. Was the use of indicators banned. And courtesey to other well drivers? Not a trace. For sure, these guys will never pass a driving test. What on earth must their parents think when they are shown the scratched paintwork? I trust they did not borrow dad's car for this event. Regards from an 87 year old Englishman, who, in his youth, drove like this, but sadly, age has slowed him down. February, 2024.
