  • Toddler gets tonsils and adenoids removed at 4 years old. Nathaniel had his tonsils and adenoids removed because they were enlarged and causing him breathing and sleeping problems. As you can see, Nate made it to the other side on Day 10. Recovery will vary child to child but should typically heal within the 2 week time frame. I wish you and or your child the best and fastest recovery. I have two more little ones to go with this type of surgery - my twins will end up needing it. I am grateful to know what to expect now having my eldest go through the process.

      Hi there! It’s difficult to tell. They usually fall off between 5 and 10 days. However, whenever your child’s worst day of recovery is, I would be likely to think that would be when the scabs come off completely. I hope that helps!

    My son did this operation 9th January 2024. Have a runny nose and snoring still. I want to know is your baby snore after surgery?

      Hi love! It’s common to still have that “snoring” sound post surgery because the area is still inflamed. With inflammation comes swelling so don’t worry. It takes about 2 weeks for the area to be fully healed, give or take. You will notice an incredible difference afterward. Feel free to ask me more questions here or you can add me on Instagram @goldenmamabrie and DM me! I hope for a speedy recovery for your son 🫶🏽

    Did he ever need a sleep study?

    • @goldenmamabrie
      @goldenmamabrie  Před měsícem

      No he didn’t. I knew that my son had obstructive sleep apnea as he stopped breathing in his sleep. I had recorded it with my phone and presented it to the specialist. His tonsils were very enlarged also from the physical assessment he had by the doctor so it prompted reasons to forego the sleep study and have the surgery.
