Cosmetologist here with a tip for removing false nails. Get two bowls: fill one with hot water and another with acetone to make a double boiler,. Add rough paper towels in the acetone bowl, and soak your nails that way, gently rubbing them against the paper towel every now and then. The heat helps the acetone to work much faster, the wiggling loosens the glue, and sometimes the false nails will just slide right off. MUCH easier on your real nails. Another tip is to layer nail hardener or a favorite topcoat over your real nails before applying the glue. That way it never comes into contact with your nails and damages them much less.

I'm terrible about buying things I love that are a great price at the thrift store, but are completely impractical for my life.
I'd recommend the nails with a sticker like adhesive on the back of them, they don't stick THAT well but they will hold up for a video! They are easily removable as well and won't leave any residue on your nails that u can't wash off
For the fake nails I recommend using double sided tape (extra strong) and cutting it to fit into the backside of the artificial nail, and stick it onto your real ones. When you're done, just peel off the nail or pop it off with tweezers! They also have nail tape on amazon. Hope this helps
For your nails try using eyelash glue if you only plan to wear them for a short time! Let the glue semi dry so it can get tacky and then stick on the nail :) It won't leave too much residue and can come off with water!

You can get "pre glued" nails that are so much easier to pull off. Or you could buy normal nails and instead of glue,use the sticky dot tabs that you get to stick photographs into photo albums

Also, have you tried cuticle oils or balms to rescue your nails after soaking them in acetone? Burt's Bees makes a great cuticle balm. Anyway, hope you and yours are doing well! ❤️🙏🏻✝️

For a nail glue recommendation, maybe instead of changing the clue, you could just put a peel of base coat ( you can get it mainly on amazon and makeup stores ) under the glue. Peel off base coats are meant to put under nail polish so that your nails are still smooth and okay. No acetone is needed and you just peel it off. If you want a GREAT peel off base coat, go to Simply Nailogical's 32 peel off base coat tests. In her link, she puts the best one.
