Already at a young age, Kwinten was extremely interested in the diversity of music and had always regarded music as the highest form of art, capable of dealing the strongest emotions. Besides his profession as an architect, he is highly passionate about creating and designing, particularly large and long-lasting projects. Musicmap is by far the biggest and most challenging of these projects so far. In dire search of the perfect overview of music genres, whilst motivated by the need of those around him for such a thing, Kwinten tried to assemble a framework of genres that balances accuracy, comprehensibility and accessibility. Together with his technically oriented brother and a number of enthusiasts, he spent almost eight years developing a satisfactory map and interactive encyclopedia of popular music genres.

What a great man
Is this project dead ? I'm a piano teacher and keep thinking, kids have a lot to catch up to, the music universe is so vast...
Right now many get spoonfed trending songs from tiktok or youtube's algorythm. Don't wanna sound like an old fart (im 28) but they're missing out on so much good stuff, they have no idea...
There's a time for everything, of course they will grow and with years and friends and influence will know enough of the music world as they need, but i can't shake this feeling like they're missing out. Your project has GREAT potential, but the execution must be very hard without proper funding or collaborative work...
is there something similar fot the history of European or worlds art of painting?
