- Come experience the famous Fuunji tsukemen shop in Shinjuku, Tokyo. Long lines are common to get a seat at Chef Miyake's award-winning restaurant, but I can tell you that the wait is justified. I've been here twice for the tsukemen and will probably be back again for the ramen. Not only are the noodles amazing, but Miyake-san is fun to watch. I don't know if any other ramen chef has as much rock star flair as he does.

Fuunji is one of my favorite shops in Tokyo. From all the videos I´ve seen that cover Fuunji (and I´ve seen plenty) yours captures the unique atmosphere best. Finally I can show my friends what Fuunji is like. Thank you very much.
Thank you!!
Looooove Fuunji!!! Been searching for years for somewhere better...but so far Fuunji still #1.
I went there, it was the best ramen I’ve ever tasted. Nothing in the US compared. I had the special ramen large size and it was HEFTY. I was stuffed in the end, the difference is in the broth. You can tell in Japan they take pride in creating flavorful broth, in the US it isn’t as flavorful.
this guy looks freaking awesome!
Hands down the best 😃😃😃
I love eat tsukemen more than ramen because of fuunji... When the chef preparing our noodles, it's like watching people dance.. Hopefully i can back to japan soon
Dude's noodles are set to cook for 4'20"
Nice.
Nice.
Nice.
Perfect texture
No wonder I felt like a joint after the meal
Nice.
What an amazing chef. It’s like watching a theater performance. Craving for tsukemen now. 🤤
I really thought the footage was sped up in the beginning. Keep up the great content.
When I was editing it I thought my computer sped it up. But nope, Miyake is just a ninja with the noodles. Thank you!
same brooo xD
Cooking in japan is a craft. Its beautiful to watch this chef work! Reminds me of a sushi restaurant I used to eat at in Manhattan. The chef had the same precision and accuracy its beautiful to watch and eat their art.
Wow, i really should not watch your videos while being hungry! :D
This looks absolutely delicious, definitily a place i want to visit!
Nice video. I've been here hindreds of times and still love it. Left handed chopstick skills were nice.
thank you sir, being left handed helps hahah. Love your channel, by the way.
I been to this place! It’s is amazing, any one who is visiting Tokyo should go!
Before I die I will eat this mans Tsukemen. Beautiful form of art.
It's worth it! (along with a million other amazing restaurants in Japan haha)
The best dipping noodles i’ve tasted.
that look very delicous.
ohhhhhhhh
I want to eat it after a long time! !! !!
Wow, a lot of Filipinos and other foreigners line up to eat here. But they are not eating that fast though when it's as crowded as this shop, unlike Japanese people. I learned to eat fast in Japan even in not so crowded shops. When the borders open, there will be even more foreigners documenting their experiences in photos and videos, but I hope they still show courtesy.
And the, by the way, the bland soup on the counter is not really to make your dipping sauce hotter or increase its volume, it's poured over your bowl of dipping sauce so you can sip it like a normal ramen soup.
I went here and had the Ramen. Next trip to Japan I'll definitely try the tsukemen.
I've been to this restaurant for the tsukemen on a couple of trips and it was delicious. Make sure to go when it is off peak hours or you could be in for a long wait.
I ate here literally everyday when I visited japan
I'm impressed!
Wow you and me are like twins lol, been here before aswell! Very Yummy 😋, Miss it now 😢
Tjhe7 I miss it too!
OK, I'll be there in a month. I promised
Enjoy!
I like the robot move
Damn boiiii dem noodle thicccck
Are the noodles cold or warm? Everything looks soo good.
You know, my memory fails me. Sometimes with tsukemen the noodles would be cold, but some places give you a choice. I believe Fuunji does. If not, then they were lukewarm.
Nice video! What kind of camera do you use to film these videos?
Naruto said he only likes ramen so only ramen in this house! Lol
I'm sure Naruto wouldn't turn down a bowl of tsukemen! Especially from chef Miyake who is a ramen ninja ;)
@@YumPassport what a wonderful video/great editing. Thank you for sharing friend.
I ate here when I was there with my brother but was hesitant to film since I didn’t know how to speak Japanese so I couldn’t ask for permission in the first place but the noodles were unreal, it taste as good as it looks no joke
They are something else! I can't wait to go back.
Did you have difficulty ordering in English
@@keipherbooth1333 Orders are placed by buying a ticket from a vending machine at the front of the store, which if I remember correctly has English on it. You should have no trouble.
You can tell it’s good other than the music it’s quieter than a library
Indeed! It's interesting how the vibes are in different ramen places. It seems fairly common that these kinds of "sit at the counter" shops are frequented mostly by people there just for the food, either because they're solo and coming for a fast meal or because they want to try the chef's cooking. Either way its mostly eat and go without much conversation.
While it looks pretty tasty I wouldn't be surprised if you see a news story about him accidentally giving an employee third degree burns lol
e chi sei il jakie chan del ramen..
is all the water from the ramen going on the floor though., must be a gunky floor
Usually at the end of the day at these kinds of places they'll hose or mop down the floors.
5:25 - Can someone tell me what kind of powder that is?
Your question is answered at 6:02 :)
its grounded bonito flakes
Chef Miyake is the crazy one?he´s wonderfull but I think the girl doesn´t like his moves very much 2:50
you probably burn a lot while working in this kitchen
$10 = Rp. 140,000
and to think they dont accept tips,, well ill just hide it under an empty bowl
I'm so confused, why does he pray the water all over the ground??? otherwise, I can't even tell what he's doing with his motions which is interesting
After finishing boiling the noodles
ramen chefs will usually shake the water off of them. Sometimes they do it onto the floor (where they have perforated rubber mats and will hose down everything at the end of the day). The other motions like the spinning is just his personal flair, it doesn't actually change how the ramen is made.
嫌な毛量
Overhyped. There are better ones that you dont need to fall in line for. Serving is too small for its price
This is totally sped up, it's running at a faster than recorded frame rate, just enough to try and fool you.
It's not. I recorded it at 60FPS with a proper shutter speed of 1/120, and the video is playing back on CZcams at 60p. I think there was just the perfect combination of slight camera sway during the action with the high frame rate that makes it look sped up, especially if you're accustomed to only watching 24p footage.
@@YumPassport You can lie to yourself but don't try to lie to me. You can even see clearly in the cut at 1:55-2:00 the speed difference in all the people's movements, faster eating, faster walking, faster cooking and not like they are naturally moving faster. This is doctored footage, and you are a liar and a fraud. You have brought shame to Fuunji and their staff by trying to advertise their business under false pretenses. You should be ashamed.
@@Xexna I think you need more experience looking at high frame rate footage. Have a great day!
@@YumPassport I have that experience, which only makes your egregious attempt to falsify this footage all the more obvious.
Dumbass I have been to this place. Its not sped up.
