Hello Paulie, so glad to see you again, I love Lucy singing this song it's so beautiful, just a quick note to Lucy she was born in Wigan Lancashire and she has 5 albums out at the moment the lastest is called " Beyond" this song is on the Album, she also has just released her new Album from the musical she is in called " Rosie " on it is her released her lastest song from the show called " We Can Change The World " which I know you will love. Welcome back, Paulie. I sympathize with you reacting to this wonderful song. It was my late wife and my song, played at our wedding in '70. The way Lucy does it is nothing short of spectacular! Better than the original! She sings it straight to you. And it still gets to me too. Brings out the emotions, which is a sign of a great singer. Incomparable singer. Beautiful young lady with an even more beautiful voice... and that captivating smile!

This song came into the physical world from God using Paul Simon as the scribe. Lucy sings with the voice of angels. Go check out the duet she did with her sister Martha on Oh Holy Night from a few years ago. Yes, its a Christmas song, but if you need your soul lifted that is the song to do it. She and Martha have angelic voices on their own but when they sing the chorus together they create a sound that up until now, can onky be heard in heaven.

A good effort and close, but sorry to correct you. Lucy was born in Wigan. She’s released 5 albums of her own plus stars on another for the musical ‘Rosie’. That’s 6. Lucy uses her platform to promote her music to show the world her singing ability second to none. 🙂
Lucy get’s to us all emotionally in one song or another, tough grown men and women can cry from a Lucy song that they share empathy with - I included. 😢

Actually while you've asked, Lucy lives outside north of Wigan in another village, but Wigan is the nearest big town. When we go abroad we say Manchester, and further away England, or UK. Wigan itself is in fact within the county of Greater Manchester, however 50 years ago it was within Lancashire (not Lancaster). But some still say Lancashire, so either Greater Manchester or Lancashire is ok. But best to say Lancashire as some villages north of Wigan (which Lucy probably lives in) are just in Lancashire. I hope I've not confused you. Just say England or UK. 🙂

Whoever supplied that information about her range is off by an octave. It isn't E2 through A4, it's E3 through A5 (C4 being Middle C). Which is so impressive.

I have also seen this strange octave range number quoted for Lucy during a Google search, so I think there is some inaccurate information being disseminated. Tha same source puts Shirley Bassey's range at 2.6 octaves!!!
I am sure that there are songs in both Lucy's and Dame Shirley's repertoire that do not need either to use their full range, but to publish misleading information like this is unhelpful!
