I was in a ERJ headed into Atlanta, while still up at cruising altitude we were about 10 miles behind a 747 and went through its wake; we hit a decent quick patch of turbulence, but hard and fast lasted about 2 seconds, not like usual turbulence. Then about 5 seconds later we hit one more "bump" that lasted a second, and then there was a pause... it was like running into a brick wall of air the plane shook ridiculously and we got up to a 90 degree bank angle, until the pilots intervened and turned us with the bank. I was talking to the stewardess at the time and remember her grabbing on to the doorframe area she was standing in as we banked sideways. Face was completely white, you could tell everyone pretty much thought a wing ripped off and we were going down. Pilot came on the intercom about 10 seconds later and spent about 2 minutes explaining what happened, which settled everyone down. Then he stated we will be flying about a km further east off the jumbo jet line and chuckled as he hung up.
It may sound ridiculous (the video) but I could see hitting severe wake turbulence would result in a low alt crash.

The pilots had thousands of flight hours each and were clearly experienced. The implication from the video is that their certifications for that particular aircraft type were fraudulent, but they were able to successfully take off and navigate from San Luis Potosi to Mexico City in an aircraft that they apparently didn't know how to operate.
This just raises so many questions. Had they been faking it their entire careers? If so, how had they managed to rack up that many flight hours without getting killed? Were they legitimately trained for other aircraft, but facing a job situation so desperate that they felt they had to obtain fraudulent certifications to get a position and hope experience and luck would see them through?
Yeah, the immediate cause of the accident is "pilots didn't know how to operate the aircraft", but how did you wind up with pilots who didn't know how to operate the aircraft in the first place?

My mom used to work just a few blocks from the place of the accident. Luckily that day she didn’t go to work ‘cause it was my birthday. The accident happened during the busiest hours of the day, when all workers finish their working day and go home. If my mom had gone that day, Heaven knows what would have happened to her. Her coworkers who did assist to the office that day actually saw the big explosion and all the chaos.
Sadly, almost no-one remember this tragic accident nowadays. The government didn’t say a word about it. Personally, I feel so ashamed and sad because the accident showed in a very tragic way how far corruption had consumed our country.
May this lesson never be forgotten. My deepest condolences to the families of the victims (both in air and on ground). 🇲🇽

I've been watching you since 120k subs. I remember the time when you took away the old music. Everyone were so sad. Anyways you have helped me wanna become a pilot. And I have learnt A LOT from these videos. Thanks for being there for me!
A quick note: So as I said I've been with you for a loooong time. And I've seen that there was a period where you had trouble finding something new to make a video about. And once when I showed this channel for my mom she said, "Oh cool! Since It has a lot of airplane crashes, does it have the one where an Iran air A300 that was shot down by american.navy?" and it didn't. So maybe you could make one. One of my mom's best friends she had parished on that flight along her husband and 5 kids. It was said to be a horrible death for those on-board. Since when at explosion a lot of the people were said to have not died. Rather been heavily injured or injured with minor injuries. BUt as the aircraft was comming down quickly (I guess at 15.000/min?). There was footage of kids being found still in their mothers arms. Which I think is almost impossible but not sure.
Btw another quick question. :D Are you going to get the new Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020? I've heard it's awesome and it would be cool if you used that for your videos :P

Yeah, at the beginning just from details of how much they failed to do as told and how they acted like if driving a car was a huge red flag of false licenses.
I'm Mexican and this is a very huge issue there, mostly done by rich people to get others to do things for them or just for themselves (I recall an issue with someone who bought his engineering degree for construction, forced a guy who was under his wing to do all the work, the actual certified engineer took a week off while the fake one was forced to take over, screwed up the entire thing and it was later found out he had bought his certificate which led to his arrest).
