never feel bad about taking a break, sounds like you deserve it!
Happy to see this in my sub box Emily! But never feel too pressured to upload if life gets in the way!
The Xenoblade soundtrack collection is super cool too! Good luck finding your dream job.
Glad to see you back!!! Awesome picks as always, Tunic is such an amazing and beautiful game, getting the physical version with an actual reproduction of the in game manual was so surreal
I hope things cool down for you soon so you can relax. Great video as always. Thank you for sharing so much great and interesting stuff!
Great to have you back! Hope you're doing well.
Geez I'm so happy impressed with your growth as a channel. I've been on youtube for ten years and nowhere near your number. Glad to see you back.
Congrats! I myself happened to buy the Red Transparent model. I cannot wait. I'm glad you got one 😁
You've really grown into your own since some of the very early videos you've made. Glad I started following. Also happy to see the Xenoblade soundtrack unboxings! Mine came in as well, they're really awesome.
Thanks so much! I really appreciate the positive reinforcement. And glad to hear you picked up the Xenoblade OST too! The packages are so nice, and it's great to finally own all the tracks physically.
Solid pickups. Thanks for the reminder about Raji! I've been looking at that game since it was first released but never got around to picking it up. Now that I know there is actually a physical copy I'll have to check it out again.
Always enjoy hearing you share your collections! Thank You 😊
One of my favorite things about your channel is the love that Nihon Falcom games get. Glad to have new content!!
Omg you are adorable inside and out with natural asmr vocal cadence and the video game themes, where have you been all my life? Just now finding and subbing to your channel is madness
Oooo lots of fun stuff in this haul! I’m still so bummed I missed out on the Trinity Box😭 such a cool thing! And I super recommend Night in the Woods, especially for chill fall time gaming! It’s a GREAT game!! Great video, per usual☺️
I always really look forward to checking our your videos. You've come a long way and I really love just listening to what you have to say about your collection. It reminds me why I fell in love with the hobby to begin with. :)
Good to have you back after a while hope all is well with you and when it comes to buying games at are different regions it's your money so used can do what you want and I get it I've done it a couple times myself or bought a game digitally not think I would ever be able to get a physical copy
Great pickups! From these Diofield Chronicles feels the most familiar one. I tried it as demo version and It feels that after certain missions difficulty level rises steeply.
"And it's been awhile..."
Wishing you the best with your job hunt, Emily! Thanks for a great video with your reviews and thoughts throughout. The Xenoblade OSTs look amazing! Hope you keep finding time for gaming in the near term!
Always take care of your mental health! We'll be here waiting for your next video. Good luck with the job hunt!
I just picked up the Analogue Pocket also! Absolutely love it. Need to change the batteries on most of my game cartridges that I’ve had since I was a kid, though.
Ooo you've got so many fun pickups here! 😄 I'm starting to regret not getting Hime's Quest -- it is a really lovely collection piece, and the game looks so cute! Also, the Xenoblade OST box set is gorgeous! I love the spine artwork 🥰 Awesome video, Emily!
Thanks Mandy! I'll let you know if Hime's Quest is worth picking up or not in case you find a copy somewhere. And I'm super pleased with the Xenoblade soundtracks! Now they knew the right way to maximize space inside a box 😂
Welcome back! I always encourage creators to only upload when they want to - it's better for you and we get better content when you're happy.
I enjoyed the demo of Diofield chronicle and bought the full game on Switch. I haven't played it though Because Baldur's Gate arrived, stole my life and refuses to give it back 😄.
Hi Emily! OMG, I can't take my eyes off that Hades Collector's Edition plushy! Nice pick-ups as always! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching! And ah the Cerberus plush has been one of my best buys :)
Welcome back Emily! Those are really nice pick ups for your already awesome collection! Analogue pocket is cool! I haven’t picked up anything new lately, maybe during holiday season coming up?
Thank you! Hopefully this holiday season will have some awesome deals like last year. I can see a lot of new release also getting nice discounts so hoping to pick up more of those as well :)
Tunic looks really good, I always learn about cool new indie games watching your hauls. And the difference between the way the xenoblade soundtrack box was packed with content versus the psychonauts box is ridiculous 🤣
Oh I hope you give Tunic a go! I'm really excited to dive more into it. And haha, the contrast between those items is really quite glaring 😂
Yay a new vid! Love the new pick ups and I can vouch that Night in the woods is a nice little indie!
Great video, Em! I am really enjoying playing and streaming Rune Factory 3 special! That planner is adorable, too! Great pickups!
Glad to hear you've been enjoying RF3 special! I saw that the reviews were mixed on it because it doesn't offer as many quality of life features as 4/5, but all the characters look super charming. It's always cool to see the progression for series like these too.
Was so hyped to see a new video on the channel!
great pickups Emily! i've gotta get around to some of these especially diofield. i played the demo and liked it but i haven't had time for the full game. glad you had a nice break and happy your back.
Thank you for sharing! I love your videos and the way you present your games.
The original Psychonauts is one of my all time favourite games as well. I was lucky to get the first game from Limited Run Games awhile back. That collectors edition seems so odd, especially coming from iam8bit.
Always the best pickups videos! So much collector knowledge
Hurray! New video! 😊 quite a haul! I’m glad you’re enjoying the Analogue Pocket! I think it’s one of my best hardware buys of the last few years. I enjoy using the Dock I got recently too, but I agree, it’s quite pricey for what it does.
Oh my, I feel so seen 😂 everyone tells me I’m a bit nuts for caring so much about the spine labels of my Switch games being consistent.
Grim Fandango was an unexpected throwback! I loved it years ago, but I don’t know how I’d feel about playing it now. I tried playing through Myst last year and just couldn’t get back into the point and click gameplay loop.
Also, just randomly noticing stuff on your shelf, that Cerberus plush is adorable and I want it 🥺 and I actually just bought that same edition of Alliance Alive that I’m really looking forward to playing (at some point 😭)
Glad you decided to take some time for yourself! Good luck with all of the real life stuff 😊
I highly recommend the Cerberus plush! It's super soft & adorbs. The Alliance Alive on the 3DS is so much fun, hope you enjoy it! And I can also relate to not wanting to return to older games that may or may not have aged particularly well. Hoping that's not the case with Grim Fandango, but we shall see haha. And thank you so much :)
Wow, that XC collection of soundtrack is really gorgeous! Have been looking for something like that since when I got XC2 CE, as the CD included with that edition was basically just few songs.
Lovely pickups! 😍 I purchased the physical version of Hime’s Quest too even though the game is free like you said lol. Thought it would be fun to play on my Analogue Pocket. Happy to see that you have an Analogue Pocket too 💕💕💕
The premise of Hime's Quest sounds like nostalgic fun, so hopefully we both end up enjoying it!
Tunis is awesome! I love that physical manual. Very jealous of the Analog Pocket. I've been eyeballing one for a long time now but haven't pulled the trigger yet. Maybe someday....
So glad to see you back!!😊😊
That pocketwatch is such a cool piece! I would be whipping it out to show off everywhere.
Your videos are always worth the wait Emily! I always appreciate and love how diverse your collecting is for the games you play / purchase!
Raji really caught my eye as it was a title i wanted myself and the entire box for it is gorgeous! Unfortunate to hear about the Psychonauts 2 CE though, i really wanted that one too but with how barren it is.. that's just unfortunate :/ all in all another stellar video and the Falcom love is always great to see! :)
Thanks Michael! Raji looks so cool and I hear it's short but sweet so I may try to give it a good soonish. And yeah, it's really disappointing what they did to the Psychonauts 2 CE. There was so much potential to make a stellar CE so it's sad to see it fall flat after all this time.
Night in the Woods is an instant classic! I try to play it every fall 🍁
I am not very in the loop but I am curious about the Kotaku comment. Great pickups love this content!
Ah, Kotaku are often criticized within the gaming industry. They've made some journalistic blunders in the past and have been sort of blacklisted by major studios.
Nice pick up video, though you had me going back and looking at that watch in the beginning. My wallet and I will pretend I didn't see that. Sorry to hear about that collector's edition, but you are getting a physical release of a game that many won't have. I thought about ordering a pocket in the spring but decided against it with too many waiting over a year and unfixed bugs on some of the Analogue products I do have. Glad you didn't have to wait too long, and I hope you enjoy it.
That planner is such a cool idea. I wouldn't be able to use it either 😅
Balance is the key to life, something we all need to remember. thanks for the video
Welcome back Emily!
I went to the Retropalooza convention in Arlington Texas and Premium Edition had a booth there, I also picked up Raji(was trying to decide between that and Cathedral). Since I paid cash it was nice to forgo taxes and shipping costs 😅
Glad you have the Analogue pocket. I love mine too. If you haven't yet, you should try out the filters. It makes the game screen looks just like how I remembered it back then when playing on the GBC screen. I also got that Hime's Quest. It is actually a pretty short and easy game. Only took 2 hrs or less to beat and it plays like Link's Awakening
I've yet to explore the filters! I'll have to try them out next. I had a feeling Hime's Quest was going to be super short given it was available for free, but looking forward to giving it a go sometime soon.
I hope you find a wonderful job! Do look after yourself, taking breaks is always the correct thing to do when you are feeling stressed and burnt out.
I look forward to your videos, and I don't mind waiting until you feel inspired to record :)
p.s. I now know that I also need to get one of those pocket watches XD
The orbmental pocket watch looks so cool. Really glad they made it and hope it turns out as awesome in person.
Lots of nice pickups! Personally, I recommend the Analogue Pocket dock as it make the it like a Switch for all the old 8 and 16 bit games. Plus you can sync any 8bitdo controller or the Switch SNES wireless controller with the dock. I do agree the price makes it tough to get, but it's worth it in the long run.
I really do love your pick up vids I’ve actually picked up games that are in your pick up vids. So thank you for vids
That Night in the Woods edition looks awesome. I love physical editions that come with a booklet like in the old days.
My only recent arrival was a Limited Edition Ar Nosurge: Ode to an Unborn Star for the PS3. Played it years ago, but had always regreted trading it in. So I decided to get the limited edition this time around.
Some really neat collectors editions ☺️
Great and relaxing video!
The analogue pocket seems like a great handheld, I've seen guys connecting to a dock and playing neo-geo games through fpga on tv screens which is pretty cool. The limited edition glow in the dark one went up for sale recently and I guess it sold out on their website in a matter of 2 minutes or something ridiculous
OMG I loved so much the Xenoblade stuff! Great pickups
Wow, what a huge pickup. You'll be entertained for years to come 😄😄😄
The DioField Chronicle is one of my favorite games ever. I received it on my channel. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on it. 😊
Glad to hear this is a top favorite for you! I'm looking forward to playing it :)
Hi Emily I loved your video. Awesome collection. You showed a game I was playing the Sword & Fairy Together Forever. I am halfway through that game. Yeah work is stressful. I feel you Emily. I hope everything goes very well for you & that you find your job whatever that may be. Hopefully when you do find it. it'll make you happy & less stressed.
Thanks, Tony! I appreciate the encouragement. Hope all is well with you too.
Welcome back, Emily! I think you'll like playing Raji very much. It's a short but pretty fun game.
I got my Psychonauts 2 special edition a few days ago too. I agree, so much empty space in that box. I wish it had some kind of art book or figure, but I really like the P1 box art.
3:56 BIG SAME on having all of the Switch spines left/top justified
The Xenoblade Chronicles Trinity Box is something I regret not purchasing. I recently played "Future Connected" & Torna and re-played XBC:DE and XBC2 in preparation for XBC3, and the music is absolutely something exceptional. I loved how minimalistic the box is. I think that the Psychonauts CE box looks fitting for the theme, but the content, as you mentioned, is disappointing. I dislike it when marketing does things like this, not just because it deceives customers, but also because it wastes space and materials.
Ys Seven was the greatest of all your purchases for me (apart from the Trinity Box, of course). I come from a generation that remembers game manuals, and to be honest, I miss them. I treasure the memories of reading game instructions in the back seat of the car before even playing the game. Beyond the Sky also looks like something I'd like to receive as a gift. I think I'd have to make a suggestion to certain particular folks in case any of them are interested.
Anyway, it's great to see you are filming again; I really enjoy your videos; and I'm glad you're motivated in your professional life. I nearly forgot, Ys Origins crashes frequently (in my experience) on the PS5. It's unfortunate, but it is what it is.
Xenoblade music is really top tier!! I miss great instruction manuals too, used to poor hours into looking over the ones that came in the GB/GBC/GBA games. And that's too bad about Ys Origin on the PS5 :(
Some great pickups! I didn't order the Psychonauts 2 collector's edition, but I DID order the 6 album deluxe vinyl soundtrack from iam8bit, and I'm still waiting on it... FYI - "fanzine" rhymes with "magazine". ;)
I was meaning to ask where that sticky note came from! Question answered. 😆
I had a blast with Raji when it was on GamePass. Solid action gameplay plus a beautiful art style.
Yay your back💜💜💜 Just a fyi if you ever need a break from the platform it’s understandable. Take care of you first before anything else💛💜💛
Cool stuff!!
Also I think Zine pronounced like magazine without out the maga part.
I really enjoy the Ys series, 7 is a fun one. If ever have the desire to play 1&2 they both came as a package deal on PSP, they have redone graphics but are faithful to the original with gameplay and story.
Good to hear that you're having a good time with Sword and Fairy 7. I got my collector's edition shortly after you got it as mine went into postal hell finding its way to another city further west of where I live before doubling back. The Asia version off Playasia came with a hairpin back when it was new, and that was the version I ultimately finished. About 30 hours start to finish. Once I get through some of my backlog, I may play my NA copy.
VGP is a great place for getting games from. Shipping is pretty fast too.
Take the time you need. Your health comes first. Have a good day!
Oh wow sorry to hear your Sword & Fairy 7 CE made a long excursion! And thank you, hope you have a great day too :)
I just got in Night in the Woods collectors, its so nice!! One of my favorite games, such a short but memorable experience. Also the 3DS/DS collection in the main shot is so cool!! All those atlas rpgs in the shot lol
Oh glad to hear the Night in the Woods collector's edition lived up to expectations! I'm looking forward to finally giving that game a go. And haha, I figured I should move around more to diversify my background shots 😂
Cool to see you got the Pocket. Those soundtrack are badass. I wish we'd get more stuff like that here in the US.
The Pocket is super neat so far, and I feel like I've only scratched the surface for what's possible on it. Japan really is great at making nice music related packages, I wish the US would do this as well though they seem to continue pushing the digital route 😅
@orbalology Yeah, the pocket is pretty handy. Once you get a dock streaming/recording, your own footage will be easy. Also, there's openfpga if you want to expand your library.
I missed your videos, welcome back. You always show some amazing jewels. I would love to have a special edition for Grim Fandango. Do you have a video about websites for special editions? I think there are more and more. I didn't know about Signature Edition Games 🤯
I made a video around the start of my channel of all the limited publishing companies, like Signature Edition Games :)
@orbalology 😅😵💫 clueless man I am. I'm going to see it again. I wanted to ask you if the Dead Cells Castlevania physical edition was going to be temporary. But in the end, I caved and bought it. I hope I took the best decision
I got my Analogue Pocket on Monday! I was just postponing it for years, but decided to get the Glow Limited Edition. It was definitely worth it, amazing console!
Great pickups Em, I've been interested in Tunic for PS4, never played psychonauts, I might try it
Oh definitely give Psychonauts a go! Especially if you enjoy weird games with wacky characters & premises. And if you enjoy 3D action platformers like Jak & Daxter, Ratchet & Clank, I think you'll like Psychonauts as well :)
More gameboy games are always great!
Replacing the internal batteries on the cartridges can be tricky though lol
I normally enjoy collecting a variety of regions, but yeah it does trigger a bit of OCD when an individual series has odd rogue regions. My Ryza 2 is PAL, as are my Xenoblade 3 and Torna, and I'm not sure how I feel about it.
And YES, I also just got my Analogue Pocket and am super digging it! I've been spending the last year ripping and archiving my collection, and it was really cool to take a single device and load it with every 8-bit and 16-bit cart I own. I know it's capable of a lot more, such as several arcade cabs, but I'm still basking in the catharsis of having decades of physical collecting condensed down in one pure little expression.
Good luck in the job hunt!
Thank you! Ah I need to compile a nice library for my Analogue Pocket soon. Sounds like a nice little project for this weekend perhaps :)
Another great video. You do you first buddy.
Gotta have the dock! It's the main reason I got a Analogue Pocket!
Awesome pick ups!
I feel like every time I watch your pick up videos I either come away with "Wow the Trails series is so massive how will I ever get into it?" or "Wow the Atelier series is so massive how will I ever get into it?" 🤣 Sometimes, and this is clearly due to my own issues, collecting is equally a fun hobby/torturous endeavor. Which is why I just have to make whatever consoles I have now, be what I will collect for going forward. There will be no Switch 2 for me despite knowing I will love it. No PS4/PS5. What I have is what I'm rolling with.
Either way you had some great stuff and I love to see our shared interests for a lot of the same franchises. Glad to see your back and as I said before good luck with the job search though I have a feeling you will crush it. 🤜
Trails & Atelier can be intimidating for sure! Though I think as I mentioned it's totally ok to get into Atelier anywhere without worrying about getting through all the games (but this is more difficult with Trails). But I feel you on limiting the number of consoles to collect/play. The beauty with video games too is that you can always decide to pick new consoles late into their cycle or when the next one rolls around for the highlights. Or if you decide to skip them altogether that's totally fine too.
Welcome back! I completely understand needing the NA version whenever possible. I sent back a game I got off of Amazon immediately once I saw that it was the PAL version instead of the NA version.
I'm kind of interested in the Analogue Pocket, but then I'd have to rebuy all of my GameBoy games again as I only have Kingdom Hearts, Golden Sun, and Golden Sun The Lost Age from my childhood.
I haven't played either Psychonauts yet, but that big empty box really is disappointing. A physical edition of the first game does sound pretty nice though.
I'm tempted to hunt down some more Game Boys too now that I have the pocket in hand. I really need to get a copy of KH Chained Memories again and the Golden Sun games are super high on my list! I had unfortunately missed out on that series back in the day.
Diofield chronicles was a lot better for me than i thought it would be 😊
I'm SO in agreement. I bought it because 1) looked like a good Game of Thrones your story, 2) Square. I was blown away with how much I loved the real time w/pause combat. I usually take a long time to beat my games cause I get distracted, but this I went through in two weeks and started new game plus right away.
Nice pick ups and an analogue pocket very nice, Ys 7 is great well worth playing and i would pick up 8 and 9 there both fantastic with 8 proberly being the best game in the series, looking forward to 10 just have to wait for a tanslation mmm.
I've enjoyed what I've played of Tunic. My only issue with it is that most of the items that you find in the game, the game gives a description of the item in Japanese so I have no idea what it says lol
My FedEx exprience was a bit of a nightmare. Both of them shipped seperately, meaning I had to take unpaid time off of work for both. The 1st package was delivered to the wrong address and I had to snatch it off a neighbor's doorstep and the other got held for an extended period of time due to the hurricane. But I have them now and they are safe. That fanzine is pretty interesting, I have only heard of doujins and the past couple years Comiket has had some quality general Xeno/blade doujins that I've been collecting.
Oh no sorry to hear you had a bad FedEx experience too :( I've been eyeing some doujins myself for certain franchises! Haven't dipped into it yet because I feel like that'll be a whole other rabbithole that won't be very future moving friendly 😂😅
Welcome back, Emily! Hope you had a great break!
I had completely forgotten about Rune Factory 3 to be honest, now hopefully, I can pick that up in the future hehe.
I've always been intrigued by the Analogue Pocket, but personally, I'm thinking of getting a different pocket, and that's the Retroid Pocket. :)
The Psychonauts 2 CE is the definition of waste of space! Like bruh, that BIG of a box, with that little content? What a letdown! XD
That Xenoblade soundtrack looks stunning! Another thing to (hopefully) buy in the future hehe.
Thanks! I was able to spend more time on other hobbies which was nice change of pace. The Retroid Pocket looks pretty neat! If you end up getting it hope it lives up to the hype :)
Random comment but just something about your hair that looks awesome IMO in this video 😄 looks nice out like that.
I'm only adding Master Detective Archives: Rain Code to my collection. Haven't tried it out yet, cause I want to finish my Octopath Traveler playthrough.
It's fine to take a break and have fun gaming, Emily. 😊
Was hoping to see your Nintendo Direct reaction though..😁
And there's a lot of other game announcements this month, I'm really excited 🤩
I hope you’re doing okay you seem a little more jittery , just wanted you to know it’s Good to see you again
I have the pal game of Atelier Ryza and I am trying not to let it bug me since the other two are the US versions.
Taking breaks is a healthy thing. There are reasons for vacations even from things you enjoy. As for the music, like you I would prefer physical copy but many things are digital only. I'm same for audio books but I wonder how many put out the CD version instead of straight digital. Did you consider separating the two items when the pocket machine was delayed? I had to do that with a gaming book order last month because one book should have came out in June but got delayed to November so had customer service remove the much later delayed from the order. I then received the rest of the order in about a week.
Lovely pickups Emily! A lot of variety here! The inside of the Xenoblade 3 OST limited edition is so lovely, those tiny flutes are so cute!
Thanks, Milla! I'm really glad I bit the bullet and picked up the XC3 OST! I was a bit worried it'll be a bit redundant with the Trinity box, but agreed the small scale flute turned out super cute!
For limited run games, I second going with vgp they seem to be a good partner with lrg and order a good amount. Just bought 6 off my list from them last restock
Don’t forget to get a screen protector for the pocket.
The Krikzz everdrive works well with these as well as the EZ Flash lineup
I may have forgotten to purchase one in my original order, so I've been trying to track down an alterative
She's back!!
