Even though this is pretty old by now, it’s incredibly admirable that this father is so well educated with his snake and makes sure the snake and his daughter are both safe with each other. He completely respects the snake and taught her how to do the same. At the same time, this cements the fact that when she grows up she won’t find snakes terrifying in the slightest. Well that brings up an interesting question. Is a well socialized captive bred python like this still considered a “wild animal” or would it be considered a “domesticated animal” like dogs or cats?
I’d posit that it’s neither.
That instead it is a “tamed” animal. Not truly “wild” and not really “domesticated” but a bit in between. The snake trusts it’s owners and lives comfortably with them.
Snakes are pretty simple creatures. When their needs are met and they aren’t under any stress, they can be quite lovely pets depending on the species and individual.

My brothers and I were taught at a very young age which snakes we could handle by ourselves and which were off limits unless my Dad was around. We learned to respect all the animals and never had one incident ever...
The key to being responsible with snakes is handling them every day so that they are used to humans, be careful handling them when they are shedding because theyre basically blind at that point, and ALWAYS wash your hands after handling their food.

Parents expect it, which is dumb, they only know what they see first then taught by parents. GREAT JOB 👨 DAD!
Children need to be taught not expected to know after being shown once or twice. Parenting take time and patience.
The father will never be able to unwrap the python from around his daughter in time to save her. The snake's musculature is too powerful. This nonsense about "supervised play" is so very dangerous. Even if he shoots it, the daughter may be strangled by then. And perhaps the python would have rigor mortis if dead while coiled around the girl. Again, too late. The python is able to kill the dad just as easily.
You have to wonder how the neighbors feel about this. Their home values are less than would be otherwise. In a catastrophe like a fire, flood, tornado, hurricane, gas leak. etc., this python may get loose.
@@Nancy-fm1ie Humans fear a great many things-very few of them have ever happened. There’s no reason they should be concerned about what their neighbors think either. The father has a right to raise his child as he sees fit.
@@kaydi7947 , rightfully so. only reason this python is so docile is because its been fed. yes, the father has a right to raise his child as he sees fit, unless you are in america where children are being forced fed blm, critical race theory, and transgender nonsense. child protective services wouldnt exist if that last sentence of yours was actually true. plenty of terrible parents out there. this one in the video included.
It's like the saying 'Treat others how you want to be treated'❤
@@saxon1177man spitting so hard that he filled the entire continent of africa with water.
@saxon1177 incorrect again. This is a captive bred domesticated snake that has been bred from genaration for calm and docile snakes, just like dogs were.
All animals are unpredictable. Your knowledge is so small.
That girls gotta be brave to be playing with the one that could end her life in 5 minutes
Definitely changed my perspective
The snake is really like:
“Bruh, it’s 7 in the morning- I want a rat not a cup of tea. I’m not saying I DONT like your tea but-“
@Mr RED and the girl be like hey am off limit
snake : I don't give a f**k
I like how the little girl is being respectful with this beautiful creature. Good for them!
Snakes are so underrated. I'll never understand the people who can hate such precious noodles
@MikeJones50911 sorry. I don't remember what ignorance I educated you on. Do remind me.
Guess you been lonely for a few days.
Very Sweet "Dad " Kind in kind :)
This has to be the most calmest and most gentle snake I've ever seen.
The respect, trust and love...mutually given is what we all should be mindful of in our interactions with animals and nature. To sum it up it's all about that energy. The animals sense it the children even more so. Especially when they are taught young before fear sets in. I love this so much as one who wasn't brought up around pets/animals but have grown with the desire to seek out opportunities to interact more with them.
This family is truly blessed!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻💯💯💯
It is most definitely NOT "all about that energy". It's about if the snake is hungry or not.
I had an albino ball python and this makes me miss him
That girl is very intelligent, she treate that snake better than most kids treats cats or other kids
That kid is going to be a hell of a coder if she's so good with Python so young
😂😂😂
Seriously. Wish I wasn’t left to learn about Python on my own at the age of 43 lol.
That was beautiful. 🐍❤
Good one
I LOVE THE PUN!!! 😂❤
