If i remember right, Diana was told not to wear heels while married to Charles so as not to be taller than him. So even her shoes for that look were both revenge and freedom.

When I saw this title, the first dress I thought of was Diana's black dress. She invented the concept. Also, I loved Zoe Kravitz's dress. IDK why anyone would criticize that dress. She was stunning.
Yeah, Zoe looked fabulous. But for sheer elegance, grace and style, Jennifer Garner looked awesome. Of course, Diana was in a league of her own, hard to top the best.

I might have the definition wrong but for me “the revenge dress” meant that dress wore in the first (or one of the first) public appearance after being very publicly cheated on by your significant other (or dumped out of no where for a third party)… not after you got a divorce or you broke up. Some of these fit but others just don’t make sense why they are here.

I understand a woman wanting to regain her confidence after the relationship ends but I somehow feel that the person who didn’t love them may still not love them even in a revenge dress. After my revenge dress moment I just felt stupid. The only thing that works to make him feel bad after he leaves is letting him leave and getting on with life. Indifference is better than a revenge dress.
