Stuff like this is why some people say Dre doesn't really produce. His beats are HEAVILY under the direction of whoever his co-producer is at the time. This was definitely the Scott Storch era of Dre production
Can't mistake those Dre drums and little sound sprinkles though.
To be fair, you can be a beat maker and not know how to properly produce a song. There's way more that goes into it than just making a beat. Ask anyone that has worked with Dre. After he's done touching it up it's hardly recognizable compared to the original beat
