Dry brushing with paint is one of my favorite ways to make textures pop. Love how those owls turned out!
Thank you!! :)
I just realized that I really want a tin like that. My grandma kept her homemade cookies in a tin similar to that and kept it on top of her fridge. I’ll find one someday.
This is the first really nice one I've ever found - they are usually just the plain ones that originate from places like Dollar Tree, lol. I hope you find one, too!! :)
Noooooo no distressing! Tthe awls look gorgeous. You are sooooo good with all your projects specially if there is no distressing, antiquing yesssss!, Blessings 🙏🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍❤️
Lol - thank you!! :)
I’ve never seen feet on a tin, love that! Going to add them to a tin I have 😃
I thought it was such a cute little feature!! :)
I like how you did the owls. Each projects calls for different products. All the same would get boring to do I think.great job on all your projects.🎉
Thanks so much! And I completely agree - it's so fun to try different techniques and products - it keeps things interesting! :)
Owls were my favorite. You do such a great job transforming your finds.
Thank you so much!
I love Fall. I don’t mind at all lol🌻🌻🌻🦋🦋🦋
Me too - probably my favorite season!! :)
Love the owls just the way you did them. The picket fence is great.
Thank you!!
Loved the picket fence! That is a great piece for every season!
I thought so, too! :) Thank you!
All 3 projects came out beautiful. Thebtin though was my favorite. Something about bring out the raised details that I enjoy so much. I do like the way you did the owls. What a pretty set. ❤❤❤😊
Each of them was lovely, especially that tin! 😊
Thank you! 😊
I LOVE❤ LOVE❤ LOVE ❤ the owls just a you did them!! I love your channel so much! You never disappoint!
Thank you so much!
I knew to your channel. Love your make over process. Love the picket fence. Very inspiring. Thank you. ❤
Well, welcome! Glad you found me!! Thank you so much!!
The owls are so cute, see now evil and speak no evil! Love the tin, so soft and fall looking. The little picket fence basket is so versatile! 🤗
Cute projects. The tin was my favorite.
Thank you!! :)
As always Rachel your projects are beautiful thanks for sharing 😊
You are so welcome! I'm glad you liked them - thank you!!
As usual I enjoy all the projects and techniques you use. I do like the dry brushing over the distressing. Just a personal preference!
Looking forward to next time.
I love your work❤
I love the owls so much!
I really like the way you used the dry brush technique. It seems like you have more control over the process than rubbing off paint or antique waxing. I’m going to try it on a few projects. Thank you!
You are so welcome! I'm glad you liked the projects! Have fun dry brushing!! :)
Love your use of the transfer. It is also really petty on pumpkins
Like the owls as is. Not a fan of distressing. Love your videos. Have a good weekend
Loved the owls ❤
Thank you!! :)
Back to the video look forward always to your creations ❤
Well thank you so much!! :)
@@theeclecticcottagespokane very welcome everything turned out fab 💯
Hi Rachel! Yeah! I'm so glad you didn't distress by rubbing paint off! I prefer the dry brush technique and use it a lot on my projects to bring the details out. Yes you have to make sure the paint is almost all the way off the brush! I Loved everything!!! :-)
Thank you!! :) It was amazing how hard I had to work to get the paint off that bigger brush, lol! It was a snap once I figured it out, though!! :)
@@theeclecticcottagespokane Rachel everything you create is so beautiful - honestly it really doesn't matter what technique you use. You have a keen eye and rare special talent for turning forgotten about pieces and making them beautiful again. You're my favorite creator. 😊
@@jamiebowden4707 That is so very sweet of you to say - I appreciate it very much!! :)
You did a fabulous job on these❤. The light dry brush looks amazing ❤❤❤
Thank you so much!
Beautiful projects Rachel. C’mon fall!!
I love the tin. It's beautiful and the owls are great. I've always loved owls.
Me too!! Thank you!! :)
Hi. The tin was my favorite.
Glad you liked it! Thank you!! :)
They all turned out great. I love the way the owls turned out. I totally understand getting a head start on the fall. I’m also working on fall and Christmas. Last year I was behind the eight ball the entire season. Hoping to avoid that this year. 😉
Really like all of them ❤ YES, A JUMP INTO FALL😊
Great projects!
Thank you!
I really love that tin! ❤
So your picket fence had a Bob Ross moment? 👍It turned out adorable. The owls are wonderful being dry brushed. That tin turned out fantastic. Love the wreath you chose. Fantastic job on all of your pieces today. Can't wait to see what you do for Halloween and I love fall so will be eagerly watching them for inspiration. I will be using the crow from the Avian Dreamscape paper for part of my Halloween wreath. Can't wait to get started on it. Have an awesome weekend my friend and will see you on Tuesday!!
I love the tin!
*Rachel, aren't turn tables/lazy susans wonderful for painting projects⁉️ Watching you spin and paint your tin just made me happy! 😊*
*YES❣️ I like the dry brushing technique SO MUCH BETTER THAN DISTRESSING. YAY!!! 🥰 My favorite project today was the tin, but the owls 🦉 were pretty cute, too. When you brought out your picket fence piece, I recognized it right away because I have one just like it❣️ I made mine over years ago for my Spring decor, and I still L💛VE IT. I painted mine a sunny yellow and filled it with a mixture of faux forsythia stems and real pussy willows to look like the pussy willows have forsythia growing and pushing up through them. It looks good as a centerpiece on my dining room table with some fuzzy brown bunnies 🐰🐇 trying to wiggle through the picket fence, LOL. 😆*
I love that lazy Susan! It is wonderful when I want to spray small items. And I love the picket fence - so very many possibilities with a piece like that!! Forsythia and bunnies sound like a perfect option!! :)
@@theeclecticcottagespokane *Yes, so cute. 😍*
As always your projects give me inspiration for doing things with my stash.
The dry brushing technique is just perfect for the owls. They are so cute. As always, love all the projects. ❤
Love the owls! I don't understand why almost all DIY'ers feel they must distress everything.
Glad you liked them! Thank you!!
@@loyalistrose5727 some of us like the chippiness and rusty crusty of it all different strokes for different folks❤️
Hi lady, I love rusty, crusty and distressed but I try and refrain and leave some items plain or like you did today and dry brush. Really liked the tin. Iam very curious as to why you did not paint the bottom of the feet completely. Seems very not Rachel, lol
@@ladybugcarrie
@@ladybugcarrieWas asking myself the same. After all the work on the painting and embellishing why not paint the bottom of feet as surely the tin will be turned over at some point. It will look truly finished if bottoms of feet are painted as well.
The tin looks great by the way. 😊
Owls-1
Picketfence-2
Tin-3
All were great!
Thank you!!
Your owls would be cute with their eyes painted.
I’m starting fall also ❤
Yay - I'm not alone!! :) I would love to feel a bit more "ahead of the game" this year . . . we'll see how it goes!!
@@theeclecticcottagespokane me too!!
Bring on the fall diys!!! ❤❤
I'm also in favor of dry brushing to bring out the texture. I don't like how, specially the dark wax, lying in the lower areas - it look dirty rather than aged. Your projects came out so nice! Love the tin - so pretty!
I'm glad you liked them! Thank you!! :)
❤
Thank you!!
❤❤❤❤❤
❤❤
Rachel: all projects looked good. I would have liked to seen a bit more distressing on the owls. I thought they were great accessories for the home. Carol from California
👍♥️♥️
Thank you!! :)
I loved all of your projects!! That tin is my favorite! Just wondering do you ship? I would love to buy the tin 😍
I'm so glad you liked it! Unfortunately I am just not set up to ship my makeovers at this time.
I have been working on Halloween and Fall as well. When do you start putting that stuff out in your shop?
My plan is to do a revamp of my displays toward the end of July. :)
