I have a better idea for food emergency food rations. I paid $176 for (2) 20-pound bags of KING MASS XL by Ronnie Coleman. I have never sipped on a more satisfying meal replacement shake. I ordered strawberry milkshake and cookies~n~cream from the actual website. It's a really fine powder. They don't have 10 years of shelf life, but when SHTF, adding water and shaking a mixer bottle couldn't be any easier to get a sweet meal. ...You're welcome.

Many folks cannot tolerate dairy. Not just gut issues, actual allergies.
I already do that but I vacuum seal it so it can last many years and takes up much less space

In a survival situation, you can find potable water in hot water heaters, or toilet tanks if there is no treatment chemicals in them.
Find a running spring. Free water is everywhere. Boil it when in doubt. Also, put out barrels to collect rain.
