Where's all the dust, grease, metal shavings, and unknown liquids that usually cover everything? Lol
That's not even mentioning the intense heat and noise in most of these environments too 😂 All while working hoisted to a scissor lift 30-something feet high that shakes like crazy with every little move you make.

Yup, always loved doing installation. Its the servicing that’s a pain in the ass because a lot of people don’t take pride in their work and just leave it looking like a mess.
Master electrician, use ferrules on stranded wires for a 100% great contact and no fail for decades to come!
I was looking for this comment. Ferrules are required for stranded wire.
im sure theres a video from @efixx talking about the use of ferrules! its a must have on any decent tool box, what a fail guys. also im not sure if you should fit a consumer unit onto OSB board, but i must admit thats a training cubicle.
The only stranded cable in that video was the main tails, and I’ve NEVER seen a consumer unit fitted with ferrules on the main tails tbh
Ferrules are for flexible stranded, not regular stranded like in this video
@@fauxque5057yes and now use them correctly aswell, we all know ferrules are required and very much preffered but a lot of people don't know you're not even supposed to twist them. And i've seen ferrules that were crimped with a pipe wrench. So yeah

По заземлению вообще не понял. Он что, просто под изоляцию двужильного провода голую жилу запихнул? Или это провод хитросделанный? 🤔
@@shiza_electrica наверное все таки винт клеммы выворачивает в двое сложанный Зачищенный провод. Хотя видел когда изоляцию винтом прорезали😂

@@100sadida Время . Со временем контакт в таких местах расслабляется а провод становится примятый образуется нагрев и микро искра которая приводит провод на конце в негодность , более того контакт автомата тоже перегорает , нагревается автомат что также приводит в негодность сам автомат .

Man as a Canadian electrician I'm so jealous, your panels just make so much sense, so clean and simplistic. I'm an industrial guy tho and the British resi stuff looks more like the industrial stuff we use.

Auf die flexiblen Kabel hätte ich eine Hülse aufgepresst. Das ist in Deutschland so vorgeschrieben.
Nicht bei cage-type kontakten.
Zudem kupfer ist der beste stromleiter, so warum presst mann da ein bierdöschen dran und glaubt etwas zu verbessern...

In USA our panel boxes and breakers look like they came from a factory from 1950 and use solid wire that can be a pain to pull. But most of our government officials we elect look like George Washington

I have a few things to say. Most importantly, I would not call those beefy input leads "effortless".
But also, it's amazing to see how well British sparks can do when they actually have the space to maneuver.
Finally, here in Southern Europe family mothers won't let you surface mount consumer units, they make you embed them into the wall. Yeah, the brick wall. I wonder if it's for the same kind of reasons why over there they're usually hidden at weird places on residential. May it be aesthetics over practicality?
if you're talking about america, its probably because they just dont want to look at it. But now you need to have specific clearances around the panel so we have enough room to work on it. doesn't stop them from putting everything in their basement in front of the panel though. And then they act suprised when we tell them they need to move their stuff.

Там все сделано правильно. Не нужно путать российский монтаж и монтаж в тех же США. Многожильный провод можно заводить в те автоматы, где соединение специально так разработано, что обжимает лучше любого НШВИ.
В российские нельзя, но:
-- многожильный провод бывает разный. Иногда это многожильный провод, где каждая жила сечением 0,5..0,7 мм2.
В такой НШВИ только дегенераты из Минстроя могут "опрессовывать". Его надо или в гильзу типа ГМЛ впрессовать (что тоже не всегда адекватно) или лучше сразу в автомат.
@@extrimbizну конечно, ты же истина в последней инстанции... То, что маложильный провод Нельзя в ншви впрессовывать... Это ошибка. Можно и нужно это делать. И в ншви и в гильзы гмл можно. И маложильные и многожильные.

Кстати многие не заморачиваются удвоением концов жил, а это увеличивает площадь контакта и предохраняет жилы от повреждения винтом. Всегда почти так делаю.
А о НШВИ не упомянули.

Мне понравилась наебка с проводом 🌎. Монтаж сделан отлично но тот кто маленько разбирается в проводах поймет что заземления нет и проверять работу после любого монтажа нужно с тестером который просто вставдянться в розетку и показывает правильность подключение и есть или отсутствует заземления. За видео спасибо как можно обмануть при монтажа.

Ты зрячий? В самом начале видео показывает как работает с заземлением. Это американскии кабель с "голой" землёй. Надеюсь скоро и у нас придут к этому отличному решению. Чтоб местные, якобы специалисты, не пускали фазу по жёлто-зелёному проводу. Нужны три рабочих провода? Покупай соответствующие кабеля.

10% от нужной длины должен быть в запасе

If that was a 4-6mm twin: officially the first time I’ve ever seen anyone use pliers to twist them like that. Only ever seen that on flex or tri-rated meself (though also mostly used ferrules too).

Everything looks great except those crap single strand earth cables. Just goes to show how much better it is in Australia. There was only one thing that im not sure if its standard in (guessing the uk) but the 16mm incoming cable bracket was nice. Two points to secure, very nice.

Там свои правила. Если автомат сертифицирован для такого монтажа, значит можно без наконечника. Прижимная скоба контакта сама по себе несёт функцию опрессовки.
Судя по набору инструментов и мастерству человек знает, что делает. Скорее всего в наши нормативы от их нормативов отличаются. Но практика показывает что скручивать волосянку нельзя потому что передавливаются жилы, а если просто под автомат прямую она пушится и жилы тоже ломаются.

What's up with doubling up the grounding conductor (Earth wire) before installing it on the bus bar? I'm familiar with this practice when conductors are too small to make a good connection, but those conductors look like a good size for the screw terminals. Uk code maybe?
Doubles the cross sectional area of the cpc and prevents damage from the screw. I hate to open anything up where the conductors haven't been doubled over.

Absolute horror in amount of work and amount of different parts needed compared to what we have in the Netherlands.

It's not. No cables from hollow walls but wire in conduit from the (concrete) ceiling. No need to fold any conductor. No 100A with massively thick wires either but 1x40 or 3x25 mains connection. Also no unswitched neutrals making earthfault-finding a lot easier. 99% of circuits with 2.5mm^2 since 99% of circuits are 16A. Of the remaining 1% that is not 16A it's mostly installed wrong by some PV cowboy or EV-charger cowboy.
@@jcvjcvjcvjcv we actually do a single loop on the conductors instead of a fold to give some extra wire length for repositioning in the future. Yes we use switched neutrals but screwing them into either a switch or a busbar makes no difference for the amount of work we have to do. We indeed use slightly different materials but the amount of work remains the same

There is no sleeving grounds, cutting cable sheats is rare, the conductors don't have to be folded. The loop you refer too is considered obsolete, but besides that; can be done in the UK unit too. The enclosures are also easier. No cutting.
The switched neutrals make it possible to isolate faulty circuits without even taking the cover off. The UK way of doing things is just inferior. Another example is their square flushmount boxes vs the round ones in NL.. Round is 100% easier to do in less time, with less dust, less plaster work, etc. etc.
Our history of using conduit is also why you see the Germans and English with their "house rewire" videos but not the Dutch... because there isn't a whole lot to show.... pulling 2 wires out, replacing with 3...
Yeah, anything looks effortless with jump cuts and editing tho, regardless of the fact that it’s and ideal scenario you’ll almost never see
