2 years back I put out this free preset bundle based around the Divided By 13 amp, which is one of my favorite models in the Helix. It has had nearly 2,000 downloads since then and with the new features over the years (and especially the new 3.50 cabinet models), I thought I'd go back and give it an update. It's built with the original HX Stomp in mind, but includes up to 8 footswiches. The core of the preset (overdrives & delay) remains on footswitches 1-3, other effects on FS4, FS5, and FS6, FS7 is compression, and FS8 is a 3.5db solo boost. In the download you'll also get a detailed .pdf of what parameters the footswitches are affecting (and why) and a general best practices guide for setting up your HX Stomp.

Firstly, huge fan of yours! Excellent explanations and creative use of the entire Stomp XL. I have one question which has been nagging me since I got the XL. What switches are you referring to as FS7 and FS8? I don't see where Mode or Tap switches are assignable...

What a great demonstrative video, I found it very useful as I am currently studying how to use my HX stomp:) I have a question: why do you put the comp block at the end of the chain instead of putting it in the beginning? And I see that you prefer put the rever block before the delay.

are these the same i was emailed about maybe a week or two ago? also they always sound epic on your videos, what might i be doing differently or wrong?
Yeah, last week an email went out to anyone who had previously downloaded this patch.
What speakers do you play through? I usually start on studio monitors, then test my presets on the JBL tower you see behind me. Eventually I make a point to get in front of the PA with a wireless kit at soundcheck and make other small adjustments.
At low volumes, presets tuned for gig volume tend to sound dull. Also in this video you’re listening to the exact guitar that I dialed the preset in with so there’s that to consider. Your instrument/playing style is probably different.

Very good sounding Preset. I have an HX Stomp with an external 2 button switch for FS4 and FS5 set to Snapshots Up, and Down. What would happen on your Preset that has allocated FS4 and FS5 to other functions?
I also used the "Screenshot" method to update my old Presets to Firmware 3.50. I found that even when using all the same Parameter Settings in the new Firmware, I could not always match the old and new Presets exactly. They were usually close, and I suspect the Mic position Parameter in the new Cab Engine may be a factor. Have you had a similar experience? 🤷♀
I usually prefer the Preset results I can dial in with the new Firmware, but some still remain a challenge when I want to match them exactly to my old Presets. The new Presets seem to start off sounded louder, with more pronounced highs and mids, and clearer and more dynamic to my ears.
I've found the same thing - the old cabs do not match exactly to the new cabs even when the settings are the same.
If you were to use these presets, footswitches 1-3 would work as normal, but your external switch would still be set to snapshot up and down. My presets rarely have any snapshot data. If you want to use footswitches 4 & 5, go into global settings and assign the tip and ring to stomps 4 & 5.
