    Best video on CZcams in describing basic functions of this keyboard. Great job. Thank you. I record in Logic. Not a Keyboard player. I've been recording in Logic X Pro using the Mellotron software instrument built into Logic. But I have been sadly using my iMac computer keyboard to play notes. This is definitely the Arturia version I will be buying. Love the chord and scale mode. Fantastic! Thanks again.

    always a good review. thanks!
    i'm currently considering this controller to replace my minilab which requires a usb host to connect to other external hardware synths and gear. this controller facilitates a dawless config and there's definitely something to be said for modular setups as it inspires more creativity imho. the extra octave, added features and agreeable price make this almost a no-brainer for me. the question is whether the pro model will be a better investment in the long run for someone wanting to branch out to more standalone gear... any thoughts?

    • @jomesias
      @jomesias Před 2 lety +2

      Curious fact: ks pro doesn’t support strum mode that ks37 does!
      Keystep pro is for dawless synth control, keystep is limited in sequencer tracks.

    Hello, Taetro! How are you? I'd like to ask if I should consider this than the Akai MPK Plus? I'm an independent music producer and I record all my stuff at home. I have the AKAI MPKI MINI MK2, thanks to you. Also, I have Strymon Pedals and two Korg Volcas (Beats and Keys) with MIDI INS. I would love to control these Korg Volcas via a keyboard with MIDI Outs. Both Akai MPK PLUS and Arturia Keystep 37 have these I/O's. Which one is better? Akai or Arturia given the gears I have?
    Or Should I go for the Arturia KeyStep 430201 32-key Compact Keyboard Controller/Sequencer due to its price?

    Despite knowing how happy it would make me to have the Keystep 37 in my arsenal, the $400 price point pretty much writes it in stone that the keystep most certainly won't become a part of my gear family. Years ago, I'd find ways to hustle up the extra cash, or pick up a second job, save what I needed & make my purchase. These days however, there's just no possible way to legitimize that kind of purchase guilt free when you have a daughter starting school and a stay-at-home home depending on me & myself. Covid caused me to get laid off which currently has left me in a spot less comfortable than before like millions of others. Seeing all these ppl getting evicted while saying they have no where to go makes me forget all about gear and just be humbled we have a place to sleep. Maybe 10 or 15 yrs from now I'll get lucky & find it as a hidden gem in a thrift store.

    Nice, my main complaint about the og keystep was being unable to have visual representation of where in the sequence you were. I also hated that, as a non-pianist, you couldn't go into midi control center and adjust velocity and aftertouch to be basically absent. Anyone know if that's changed here?

    Will the chord and strum function work with iOS daws and synths?
