Hi Dana, my name is Rich. You can save yourself some time and money. Use Plastic ziplock bags or plastic garment bags instead of paper for shipping. Why? your item will be protected from water damage in the event the poly mailer bag was to tear or rip. Furthermore your shipping label inside the bag will not be destroyed if the shipping label on the outside of the bag was damaged in transport. The item will make it to its destination. Also, you will have to do less work in preparation for shipping. No cutting paper. bag it nicely and be done in a timely manner, freeing up more time to complete other tasks.
Hi Rich, its soooo great to hear from you! Yes, you are right about the plastic bags and did try that at one time. But for me i didn't feel comfortable using so much plastic. I also have never had anyone complain about their items getting wet or ruined yet! So for now i like to use paper but who knows if that changes in the future! Hahaha i'm soooo happy you heard your shoutout, Alanna! Yes you are so right, reselling is definitely bumpy with the ups and downs, but we just have to stay the course and not get too discouraged. Ahhhh your my fabulous 50s sister! I have less than a month left of my 50s and i'm probably putting too much weight on it, but i think turning 60 is a huge life change. And yes, i hope you will tune into that video when i finally make it! I'm afraid it might just a big rambling mess, hahaha, but hopefully not. Interestingly, you are attempting to see which items sell. I could sell all of my personal items, but less from sourced items. I tend to purchase items for myself that are Ralph Lauren, Donna Karen, etc., or items with high-quality fabrics. This next go-round I will shop based on my likes and a few customer likes. When I say everything in my closet sold, I mean everything! The jewelry rarely sold!

i feel this. today i had a no sales day today. that is so rare for me, but oh well. overall it's been a great month, so i just keep on keeping on. it definitely feels discouraging especially when i worked all day yesterday listing 30 items and then today listing 35 items and processing a bunch more. oh and flax is hit or miss for me. i have a few things that i'm shocked haven't sold. I'm always surprised in what you find at your bins! Wish i could go with you! I think we are hitting up one here this weekend. we only go every couple of months so it should be fun and I'm looking forward to it. and isn't it funny you're selling icebreaker mid july!? Lol. I just sold a sherpa leather coat. you just never know what's going to sell and when! i still have so much summer to list, but thinking i need to get on to listing fall and winter here soon haha.
Hey Nicole, soooo great to hear from you! I like that you mention that your month is really good overall, its just that you have a bad sales day here and there...i think thats really a great point! Also, we should look at how we did compared to last year, and hopefully we are increasing in that way, right? Listing 30-35 a day is no easy task, you are crushing it!! I don't go onto Insta very often but when i do i love seeing your posts, they are soooo inspiring! Congrats on selling the leather jacket in July, woohoooo!!
