"ladyslippers" are wildflowers that grow in the woods here in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina. They're quite rare and are most often pink, though I've seen a yellow one before. The bloom somewhat resembles a slipper, I guess. 😊

Jeremy, take it from this ol' gal, you have great instincts! That Mary Francis bag is valuable and may even be a one-of. I couldn't find Any other of her bags with long beaded fringe on the bottom of the bag. Been collecting fine and unusual bags for half a century and her bags are truly an investment. If I had it, I would seriously consider holding on to it and researching more before listing it. Could be worth hundreds or thousands, depending on how many she made. Mary Francis is infamous, as well as iconic. I'm very excited for you. : )

The glass whale 🐳 is definitely for peanuts🥜. It was a huge craze here in Germany in the 70s to serve peanuts. There even was a little peanuts pitcher from WMF. The whale sometimes has "NUSSWAL" (nut whale) written on it.

We used to do that with a readers digest in Catholic school folder pages and make a Christmas tree and then spray paint it and put stuff on it. so stupid.
The clock with the fork, knives and spoons sticking out. They had that exact same clock for sale at our goodwill and I passed.
