I've watched many videos on tiny houses and I got to say that this one has figured out how to use every available space. I could totally live in one, but I do need a couch.
+Scott H I'm sure you can figure that out Scott. They are very customizable and you can extend the sizes. Get a 26 footer instead of a 24 footer and you'd be fine. :)

I've lived in three tiny spaces starting 25 years ago before it was even on the radar and have loved every minute. Each time I downsized, I never missed one single thing I got rid of. What I wanted to say is how much I love your home! Absolutely beautiful, and I am so envious because I'm not in one at the moment, but I've got plans and I will retire in my next tiny house. I drew in a basement in the same spot in my plans. That was great to see it in reality. They have a great house! It's always interesting to hear from people after they've been living in a tiny home for awhile. Looks like it suits them well.

it's a beautiful house, if it was mine i would get rid of the dog elevator, the dog could use the exercise, but that's just me. Other than that it's a cozy home, love the stove.
love it! a place for books, a cozy chair, a fireplace, a stove with oven. it if had a wash/dryer it would be near perfect.

you have no idea how long i have been looking at videos to try and find something in canada that i would llike ..........love this one. I love the wood. I love the stairs, the basement , the lofts...i must have missed the bathroom anyhow i love it. Now i need to know who built it? I will die if no one can tell me. I appreciate it if anyone can tell me who built this. Thanks so much!!

Brilliant! The planet's energy sources are limited, and we would all be wise to cut down on our consumption. Living small makes a lot of sense.

The only fear I have about that place is that my parents weigh around 200 and my dad 300 and if we all slept up there then I wouldn't cause I have a fear of things breaking when there's to much weight so me and my mom would make my dad sleep on the couch

Nice Tiny House. I like their staircase but I think their standard size frig is too large.
+foxthome I thought so at first as well, but then I realized that they probably are quite far from town, and may only be able to go grocery shopping every week or likely two weeks. Plus I worked in Nova Scotia for awhile, and I was shocked how bad the weather could be. I actually got blown off my feet once in Halifax! You think coming from Chicago I would be used to bad weather, but some of these storms were of an intensity I had never experienced. So once I applied those not-so-find memories to this house, I figured their big fridge may be well deserved.
+Geny R. And they live in Cape Breton, which actually gets worse weather than Halifax, which is relatively protected comparatively. I live in Moncton, and whenever I'm watching the weather and they say we're getting bad weather, Cape Breton is generally getting worse.
This fridge suites this home very well. I know exactly where this house is, as I'm originally from cape Breton. Without that size of fridge, you would either starve or have to make a very long trip to town. There used to b a local store that had a couple things, but it closed a very long time ago

+Speed Play I don't know if anyone ever replied to your question of cost? I all depends on how tiny you want to go and what kind of materials, size of trailer, but if you did some of the work, and used reclaimed materials, you could build one anywhere from $5,000 to $80,000 and up. I'll bet these two spent 80+. Hope I helped somewhat.

It's a lifestyle choice for sure! I know I could do it. Actually I plan to, as I have done it before and loved every minute. A 650 sq ft cabin sounds awesome to me. Good for you!

That is cozy,i love,but an elevator for a dog,when there is stairs,come 'on,,,,Nova Scotia is a Rock,and it's too cold,,the Ferry takes 8 hours to cross to mainland,,,lol We New Yorkers think about fires,lol,The windows should be made to swing out from the bottom,in case of an emergency,,but otherwise,I love it,,,how much,does it goes for in Canadien dollars?
There's no way the dog would be able to go up (and especially down) the stairs. Look at the construction of it.
