For those who want a quicker/simpler answer the 6 pro has 12gb of ram, uhd/120hz, telephoto lense and is slightly bigger. The regular pixel 6 has 8gbs of ram, no telephoto lense, fhd/90hz and is a bit smaller other than that they are exactly the same

Having a 60hz display right now, I'm perfectly fine with the a 90hz display, compared to 120hz, and no zoom (hardly use the camera) with a price that's 300 dollars cheaper.
I completely agree, dont need that 4x zoom lens.
Only 1080p on the front cam of the 6 , no uwb , doesn't charge as fast , no mm 5g , no stainless steel , no 12gb of ram , no gorilla glass victus on the back , no qhd , no 120hz ,no telephoto , 8mp vs the pro 11.1mp , weaker speakers , weaker haptics , and smaller battery once you put that all into perspective then the $300 is justified.
I have never had a flag ship phone before, but I did buy the pro. I like larger screens and that is why I spent the extra $300.00. But the pro has 1. larger screen, 2. higher res screen 3. newer screen tech that allows the phone to go to 10hz when the screen is static, 4. 4GB more RAM 5. Better selfie camera, 6. extra camera on the back 7. higher refresh rate 90 vs 120. And I think that is it.
I mean those things might seem a lot in paper, but I can tell you, In real life you are not going to tell the difference unless you use 2 phones side by side and compare them with each other. I can say that because I used a pixel 4a and Oneplus 7 pro. As long as I used only one device I was happy with both of them (Yes the OP7 felt smoother)
saving $300 for a 4x telephoto, slightly higher battery and a better screen is a good tradeoff. for me at least

For me I went with the pixel 6. I couldn’t see giving $300 more for 30 hz more, 4 gb more of RAM, a slightly taller display and bigger battery. Both look great for the price though.
I also got the 6 and just added more memory... The screen size is perfect for my use.

How is the pixle 6 working so far? I was hoping to buy one but I kept hearing about the updates not working, or shipping taking forever, and a lot of bugs so I canceled my order for now till I see some new updates.

I mean the transition is very seamless nowadays, most of your data is backed up on the cloud so you can just restore them in the setup process
Literally just use Google photos and save passwords to Google account. Job done.
The difference in quality of the videos from 2016 to today is actually incredible. I remember watching Lew unbox some weird ass knifes on video, and it already sounded like a professional video compared to the 'standards' existed in the CZcams tech.

Everytime I want to buy the bigger Pixel, Google always let me down with their display choices.
Last time it was the Pixel 3XL, with thr horrible notch.
Now it's the curved screen.
It's the main reason I went with the 6.
Flat Screen is a must for me.
Price is very good and the form factor might also be perfect.

I know right, I ordered the pro then thought about the curved display. Kinda gross.
I have had Samsung for a while and I can't stand the curved screens on those. It makes it really difficult to hold it comfortably.
It's the other way around for me, I've had a Samsung S9 for some years and now I can't stand flat screens, they just look and feel so weird.
I decided to get the P6 Pro, I wanted the bigger battery, bigger screen, more ram, zoon lens. Still the P6 is great phone for the price, for those that absolutely do not need the extra features the P6 is a great option.
Going for pro. That extra battery strength is a must and the fact that it isn't just 120hz but it actually lowers to 10hz dynamic to actually save more on battery life! That's just to good for me to pass up

Actually the pro has QHD display which will drain more battery while FHD on Pixel 6

normal version have dynamic hz as well
400 mAh won't make a difference. The battery life will be the exact same trust me.
I'm having a hard time deciding between the two, I'll have to physically hold them in a store. My biggest concern is -- I don't like curved screens. So the 6 Pro may be a pass depending on the feel.
I did this just yesterday, and the 6 is much more comfortable to hold. I kept reading that the curved screen isn’t too bad, but after seeing it in person, it’s not for me.
Yep. Had that experience today in store. Pro felt a bit oversized. Comfort factor wins out
Having had the phone for 12 hours now, and someone completely new to curved edges, it's not THAT bad or noticeable, especially with the right case.
The 6 just looks better. Flat rounded square with black matte rails is nice and symmetrical. Plus the Seafoam color scheme is the nicest combo.
@@QuincyCooper916 Half a day is hardly any time at all. I bought into Samsung's infinity display back with the S8, and it was not infrequent that I would cause inadvertent taps and gestures because of the curved edges.
That was years ago now and technology gets better, so perhaps it won't be as cumbersome. Also, I run my phones caseless.

Unbox therapy was one of my prime inspiration to get the Pixel xl 2 when i was struggling with my iphone 5 and man the transition was so good, never felt better about a phone.
But then again i am not the one who to constantly change phones i am kinda picky and the market for smartphones has gotten so big last 4 years, so i try to make my phone last but this is a smartphone that just has so much potential i will try to get the Pro version which has 5 years of update instead of 3 years like the Pixel 2...... i love taking pictures and the zoom factor was always so bad, sign me up!!
it still only gest 3 years of software updates but 5 years of security updates.

I used to be all about top spec all the time. Now after the S20FE it's all about price to performance plus form factor and flat screen. Regular 6 was an easy choice for me.

@@brianbowen74 Pixel 6 was on sale at best buy and came with a 250 dollar gift card. It's up to personal preference otherwise. My girlfriend went with the FE and I went with the Pixel 6. She liked the slightly smaller form but I wanted the better camera.
It's not even about the camera for me, I just like the bigger screen, higher refresh rate, more battery capacity and 256 GB of storage. It's probably gonna be the first phone which I'll go all in on, so 1k down the drain lol

That telephoto is my daciding factor. I didn't realize how much I would use a zoom until I got the S20fe with it's 3x zoom, but that zoom doesn't work with the Gcam APK

Really liking the new Pixel 6, but definitely looking forward to some added protection. Any eta on shipping of Latercases (ordered early November) for the Pixel 6/6 Pro?
I didn't think I needed a zoom lense. Then I kept using the zoom function on my Pixel 5.
I just wish the Pixel 6 was 6-6.1 inches... being 6.4, along with the extra battery, zoom lense. Made me not worry about the 0.3 inch size.

So, good battery life, mayby slo mo at 1080 60fps or 120 not to eat up computer editing and extra storage 1tb? In order not to use up internal storage you use Drive, Cloud to avoid eating up storage? I'm still loving my S21 Ultra but I really like the look (form factor) of this Pixel. I like the "Geordi Visor", personally. I think they should have went with a frosted back rather than the gloss just because of fingerprints. I will say, that Latercase looks pretty 🔥 too! Like mine does on my phone. I love my Latercase. I want one of those nice Crimson ones too. 🤙
There is an article from Tom's Hardware that talks about the modem being used by the Pixel 6 Pro... it is last years tech and the S21 may get like 40% more speed on the 5G network. This has not been talked about much yet... I will assume this will be talked about tomorrow.

Most of these people are hardcore Google fangirls. They believe Google can make no wrong... which is why they're all praising that FUGLY camera desin. Had Samsung done it, they'd be trashing it left and right.
Going with the 6. I’m keeping my iPhone 13 Pro. But I have No need for the extra Zoom lense..I never used that feature on my S21 Ultra and the 120hz is not a big deal either. It’s overrated .. not many people come into a store and say, I want a 120hz display device” lol

The Latercase just arrived for my Pixel 6 Pro. It is now my favorite case that represents the Pixel 6 very well. It's pure class.

Having a telephoto lens on my 4, I’m going to have a hard time giving it up. I held both of them in a local Best Buy and the pro is just too big for me. It felt much too heavy for comfortable use. I also wasn’t a fan of the curved screen.
i don't want to upgrade but on my 4xl it freezes up when i zoom in for some reason

The pro has that higher refresh, the better 5g support, and 4Gb more RAM, and that massive Zoom lens so I feel like it's going to age a little better.
I've had the pixel 4 for a while now , and this phone is freaking awesome!! It has everything and the interface is great!
I really don't need a new phone BUT if this one is gonna improve on things , then I'm definitely interested.

I just got my phone in the mail yesterday, completely set up now, and my God...as a person loves big phones, the Pro model might be too big... But I still love it!
I'm still rocking my pixel 3 🤣🤣 will be ordering the 6 tomorrow. If it wasn't for the screen finally cracked a little, and the camera getting a spot on it, I wouldn't be upgrading yet. This pixel 3 has out lasted any of my friends/family's phones. I hope I can keep the 6 for a long time.

I was super happy with the decision to make the pixel 6 so affordable without sacrifice. I upgraded from the 5 but I'm actually paying about 20 bucks less a month now.
4:30 about the ridge you can see it in iphone 12 cases with camera protector. They have a side to side rail that stops the phone from rocking on flat surfaces and allows a better hold.
I love the design. It's different from the rest. The camera bump on the back doesn't matter with a case.

I think Google was smart with the price points for these phones. Top of the line phone for under $1k, but if you don't want all the bells and whistles you can have a great phone with their new chip for $300 less. Kind of the best of both worlds IMO, a flagship and budget phone this time around. I only wish the naming convention was different and we can stray away from "pro" models lol
The non-inclusion of charger in premium smartphones is something I will never understand. I am disappointed with Samsung, Google and other android phone makers for following Apple's lead.

I pre-ordered the standard 6 in Stormy Black. I couldn't justify the few extra features on the pro for 50% more in cost. Both should be great.

6 Pro price is great for a flagship, but gap in price between 6/6Pro is hard to justify
The gap is worth it if you value larger screen and larger battery and the zoom camera. It’s actually a good amount you get for more money.

It's easy to justify
Everyone talks about bigger battery. The bigger battery probably won't change battery life because it comes with a higher refresh rate higher pixel density larger screen. This will take more battery. Probably 10% - 15% more...which is how much bigger it is.
@@theCmunee at the same time 5000 is a HUGE battery... even more then the S21 Ultra and google's screen can go as low as 10 Hz to save battery life. No doubt the phone should last 24 hours for heavy users and up to two days for a normal person with battery saving features turned on... that is TWO DAYS.

I have been using the 5 and the 6 arrived on my doorstep Saturday. It's only been 2 days but I have to say it's unweildy and hard to hold. I'm 6'2" tall with huge hands and I can't grasp it well. It doesn't fit in my pockets. It REQUIRES two hands to do anything other than doomscroll.
The 5 just feels so much better in my hand. I'm going to give it a week to try to get used to, but it honestly I'm strongly suspecting I'm going to return it and keep using my 5.

I mostly went with the pro for the extra Ram and battery capacity, that was the main factors otherwise the 6 is absolutely fine especially at it's price point.
Considering that the extra zoom lens in the 6 Pro is one of its major benefits over the regular 6, I'd really love to see some zoom image comparisons. What extra clarity does the optical zoom of the 6 Pro offer over the digital zoom of the 6? It would need to be significantly better images produced to justify that extra $300.
Coming from a Pixel 2 XL the Pixel 6 is enough for me. Plus I prefer the flat screen over the curved display. So excited about this phone!

On my good old Pixel 3XL and I am yearning to get the Pixel 6 as my next phone.
That was a similar story about Samsung Note 10 and 10+. I picked up smaller one for its form factor, it is really a sweet spot.

I'm torn. Since I really want the white one but it's only in pro but it's curved and I'm sorta mixed on curved and I have a note 9. Curved screens aren't bad though but to me it just gives an illusion of seeming larger. However, I don't really care for bigger phones. I want to see battery tests between the two before I make a decision though battery is a big deal for me Kinda want the 12gb ram too. I think 90z will feel just fine even if 120hz would feel better. That price difference is huge.
When do we get to see what they can do? Also can you cover the video on it because going from my iPhone to my pixel was hard? Can't justify going back to iPhone if they don't switch to USB-C or pixel improves the video quality.
