    My iSpring system has been great. But it's time to change filters. I ordered two of the six-stage filters I didn't have and received them promptly. One was exactly like the filter I had removed, but the other had fittings on both ends that didn't match. One of the customer service folks returned my call and I learned that they have upgraded the filter elements to a more efficient, and user-friendly connection. If you are changing your filters, I would recommend purchasing the complete filter kit. It will have the filters with the new design and all of the connectors you'll need. These guys were very responsive when I had questions about the initial setup a couple of years ago, and I'm pleased to report that the representative who returned my call took the time to explain everything to me. Also, I've read some reviews complaining about leaks. I've had some leaks as well. Every one of them was due to MY INSTALLATION MISTAKES. Wrapping the Teflon tape in the wrong direction is probably the most common mistake.

    Adam- The first few times it can take a while for the tank to fill- amount 2-4 hours for most customers. Let the tank fill then flush it. Do this twice. Then the system should be good to go.
    Connor- The system has a automatic shut off valve so the system will only run water when the tank is not full to replenish it to full capacity. The only time I suggest to close the feed water adapter is when you are gone for long periods of time to protect the system from possible water pressure changes that could happen while you are away.

    Thank you iSpring :) Just hooked up my RO machine / Went smooth as could be.
    ** I did however get a leak at first ( the black drain tube that connects to tiny Carbon filter )
    Helpful tip for all !
    Take your time !
    Make sure each little plastic tube is inserted as tightly as possible. (thats all it was for me)
    The slip on's are an amazing way to easily run plumbing but if they are loose, they will leak.
    If it leaks / shut off valve.. Just re insert. Everything should be good to go :)
    I'll be rating my package and sending a photo to the company for an update!!
    I add a little trace minerals to my water occasionally as well.
    Fresh lemon, lime or watermelon...
    I also add crystals and always project good intentions into the water.
    Water has memory and structure.
    Look up Masaru Emoto and all of his studies :) fun stuff !!
    Thanks again for your wonderful product iSpring.

    After you fill the pressure tank for 2 hours, you say to drain it completely. You presumably shut off the cold water supply to do that, or it would run indefinitely. You should mention this. On the other hand, if you shut off the cold water supply, it is not so clear that the pressure tank would empty completely (only partially). Please clarify.

    • @iSpringWaterSystems
      @iSpringWaterSystems  Před 4 lety

      Hi Sami. You don't need to shut off the cold water supply to empty the tank. The water won't run indefinitely. After the tank fills with water for the first time, you open the reverse osmosis faucet and let it run until it slows to a trickle. This means that the tank is empty and just close the faucet to let it fill back up. If you have more questions, please call us at 678-261-7611 (M-F, 8:30 - 5:30 EST). We are happy to help.

    • @iSpringWaterSystems
      @iSpringWaterSystems  Před 11 měsíci

      Hi there. It is used to pressurize the tank. The air tank pressure should be 7-10 psi.
      Please, refer to this video to know how to pressurize the tank:
      czcams.com/video/a6Nc9wrnqAM/video.html
      The minimum pressure requirement is 40 psi for the system to work properly. If your inlet water pressure is below 40 psi, a pump would be needed.

    This unit RCC7 from iSpring waste a TON of water!!!. The manual states that it is a 2:1 ratio of waste water to clean water, however I and many others have tested this by feeding the waste water line through the kitchen wall and out to a 5 gallon bucket. The results came back in and it is was either 4:1 or 5:1 ratio. If you don't believe me, try it and you'll notice the waste water is clear and that is how much you are wasting by feeding the line to the sink drainage tube unknowingly. I'm currently using the waste water to feed plants and other house hold chores that requires water. My water bill has sky rocketed since this unit has been installed. The unit works and filters out all the bad stuff, however iSpring doesn't tell you how much water it waste. Why should anyone waste 5 gallons of usable water to make 1 gallon of lemonade.

      @iSpringWaterSystems  Před 9 lety

      +Connor- The system has a automatic shut off valve so the system will only run water when the tank is not full to replenish it to full capacity. The only time I suggest to close the feed water adapter is when you are gone for long periods of time to protect the system from possible water pressure changes that could happen while you are away.

    • @yourgransbush

      Ok thank you, so just to clarify. I have the iSpring RCC7AK 6 Stages 75GPD Reverse Osmosis Water Filter System model, and i am good to leave the water feed on all the time except when im away for a long time. Because when the tank it full, no more water will go down the drain and be wasted? Is it bad to keep turning the water feed on and off? Cheers

    • @iSpringWaterSystems
      @iSpringWaterSystems  Před 9 lety

      +Connor Haynes You are correct. The system will only turn on when the tank is replenishing itself to full capacity. Turning the feed water adapter open and close (on and off) can affect the pressure going into the system which intern might cause some damage so it would be best to leave it open unless you are leaving for long periods of time such as for vacation.

  • @iSpringWaterSystems
    @iSpringWaterSystems  Před 11 lety +2

    Hi Savllam,
    "The ASO works when i turn off the tank valve" indicates the problem is likely with the tank with lower pressure. The Automatic Shut-Off Valve shuts off when tank is full, that is, the tank pressure reaches 7-10 PSI. You may use bike air pump to add air through the tank air valve on the side until air gauge reaches or stream from drink faucet is satisfied.

      Hi there. We certainly understand your hesitation to drill another hole in your countertop. Some customers have been able to utilize existing countertop holes that were previously occupied by soap dispensers or sprayer nozzles by either eliminating them or replacing them with new faucets which utilize less holes. If utilizing an existing hole is not an option, we have also had customers choose to mount the faucet using the including mounting bracket either to a wall or under the cabinet with the system. Alternatively, you may be able to connect your system to your fridge/ice-maker and omit having a faucet all-together. The paper instructions failed to mention that the RO membrane was not installed in it's compartment. I actually thought iSpring had been thoughtful enough to include a spare RO membrane so imagine my surprise when my finish product TDS was actually HIGHER than my raw water! At least this video cleared that up, but the video also makes it look like 1...2...3 the membrane is seated and tightened, but after several leaky attempts I took the elbow off the membrane end cap and I could see the end of the membrane unit was not lined up properly so I "adjusted" it by inserting a Phillips screwdriver in through the hole and manually lining the cartridge up. I then drained the pressure tank and started all over again. Also...one of the blue clips was missing on the back of the RO membrane compartment so I had to scavenge one from the extra elbows that were included. Other than that it went like clockwork. :-/

    I turned it on an it stated leaking from everywhere. Do you think it might have to do with the tubes being hooked up wrong?

    • @iSpringWaterSystems
      @iSpringWaterSystems  Před 9 lety +3

      Hi Jesse,
      Please double check that all your tubings are pushed in at least 1/2". You can double check this by taking the tubing out and making a 1/2" mark with a sharpie and ruler on your tubing. Then resinsert the tubing till you do not see the 1/2" mark you made. Really shove the tubing in the fitting and then insert the c-clip. If this does not work, please contact us at 6782617611 or sales@ispringfilter.com.
      Thanks!

    It says turn on faucet and wait 5 min for water to start to flow and then wait another 10 min then turn on the tank valve. We turned the faucet on and waited 30 min and it only dripped out of the faucet. What can make the water not start to run? We checked all the lines and reinstalled the membrane, don't know what else to check.

      I too am having the same problem. I followed all instructions perfectly. Your video fails to mention that you are supposed to flush the first 3 filters before attaching the membrane. That is only mentioned in steps 6.3 and 8.2 of the instruction manual. Also, the membrane housing comes pre-assembled with the hoses all hooked up. Why would you ship this item like this when the 3 pre filters are supposed to be flushed first?

    I watched the video and was helpful. Only thing is that it doesn't mention to flush the system first then to connect to the 4th stage. I wasn't able to flush first. Is this a major concern??

    • @iSpringWaterSystems
      @iSpringWaterSystems  Před 4 lety

      Hi Juan. You don't need to worry too much if you just skipped flushing once. The carbon residuals would be caught by the membrane when you run the system so they won't end up in your purified water. However, we don't recommend skipping it too many times as it will cause the membrane to clog too soon and thus reducing its lifespan.

    FLUSH THE 3 STAGE CARBON FILTERS BEFORE CONNECTING THEM TO THE RO MEMBRANE! They kind of skip this in the video. The rcc7ak doesn't have a flush valve, so you have to remove the inlet tube from the ro membrane and drain in a bucket until clear of charcoal. Just a heads up. I followed the video and missed this step. I cringe at the thought of charcoal in my brand new pride and joy. 😳🤦‍♂️😆
