- In this video: I test out the human limits of Super Mario Galaxy 2 and attempt to 100% complete the game using the least amount of jumps. Jumping is any time Mario/Luigi pushes off the ground with their feet.
(jumping, double jumping, triple jumping, wall jumping, slide jumping, long jumping, side flipping, back flipping)
if they are not on solid ground it will not count as a jump (water/air)

Literally any form of wacky tech used to minimise jumps. That stuff in Honey Bloom was so damn impressive.

Really glad the algorithm blessed me with this video. Now I've discovered a criminally underated content creator with entertaining videos, perfect to throw on while doing boring tasks.
One slight advice I'd give tho, is look into some de-esser for your mic. Even some free vst/ the one included in most editing software, should do the trick and make the video more easy and clear to listen to. Might just be my audio nerd talking tho xD

erm ackshually you can get the second Green Star in Chompworks Galaxy jumpless by bouncing off an Octoomba and sliding off the bolt on the wall

It's really annoying, but you can actually take Yoshi to the end of Grandmaster Galaxy. You have to flutter jump from the 2nd bit of the stage to the end of the 3rd.
I know, I wasn't willing to do that since my way was much easier.

The fact that you were able to beat the hardest galaxy out of both the galaxy games WITHOUT JUMPING is insanely impressive!
I just want to say I'm amazed at how you have just broken one of my favorite games of all time. Props to you for 100% completing BOTH Galaxy games with these INSANE strategies.

145 jumps needed? Not bad at all! Those broken tricks definitely helped out!
Considering that's about 0.597 jumps per star it is indeed not bad
Finally the culmination of all of your efforts toward this challenge have been completed! It was a long journey yet one to be looked back upon with pride and fondness.
I’m definitely looking at this later as one of my favorite accomplishments.

Minimizing the amount of jumps one takes is something that I've always loved to do in video games. Really entertaining video on an amazing game!

I’ve been keeping up with your stuff since back when in osu, but all of your smg videos keep me coming back, both games have always been some of my favorites from when I was a kid and seeing all the optimizations and tricks that could be done really amazes me, idk if there is a next in line with the galaxy videos but you’re making some banger content so I’ll give some of your others a try as well

Oh, I forgot to ask earlier, -have you ever tried speedrunning galaxy games? Smg is one of the funniest games to speedrun because its unique movement and fun skips. You seem pretty advanced so it would be amazing to see you trying it!!

iirc there's a green star far above Rosalina's house that requires either three cloud flower clouds to get to (maybe two with a boosted jump) or glitching Yoshi through the gauntlet.
Grandmaster Galaxy is the only one without green stars

Awesome video! Cloudy Court 15:26 was definitely a fun one to watch during the stream, I'm glad my recommendation of getting vertical momentum off the cloud flower platforms (similar to launching off them with long jumps horizontally) worked out! really cool to see all the tricks in this, the crystal floating and shore launching are still awesome ^o^

there's like 50 hours of footage, I don't think I am going to upload the whole thing though. my "members only" videos contain 2 stars from this playthrough though. I will probably add more at some point.
Can you optimize this further if you always use Luigi for the any% stars? (I mean maybe in some you can save jumps this way and the ones where you couldn't, but didn't do for the any% would be done with Mario)
I said in the beginning that it would save 2 jumps, but I had to add a jump to grab a comet medal

Wait cant you do the infinite flutter thing for the first star? Also cant you just start doing the midair jumps with the rock mushroom after falling?
You can only do rock jumps after using ramps and jumping. The ramps also make you face forward so the first boulder star in melty monster needs the jump.
So when's the Galaxy 3 Minimum Jumps challenge?

Someone in my discord server made one, they tap downwards on their wiimote as they tap the a button.

in generator galaxy, could it possible to use yoshi with infinite flute to get to the meteor and ground pound it all of the times without jumps?
Dismounting yoshi counts as a jump
@@Ansel_G oh is it necesary to dismount yoshi to ground pound the meteors?
at least one time since you'll need to actually get onto the meteor
@@Ansel_G but like, on the part of the hole, fall in the air and start infinite-fluttering torwards the meteor, then ground pound it when you reach, and repeat 2 times more
