- With the final Hunger Games installment about to hit theaters, I recently sat down with Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth for an exclusive video interview. Since they’ve talked a lot about the making of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2, I decided to use my time to play “Save or Kill.” If you haven’t seen the game before, “Save or Kill” reveals which franchises, characters or bands someone would choose when pitted against another of equal value. Han Solo or Indiana Jones - if you were told you could only save one and the other would be erased from existence forever, who would you pick?

It's caused by an aspect of her personality that makes her the most talented actress: She explained in another interview that when she thinks about a real or fictional situation of herself or someone else, the emotions associated with that situation arise in her soul automatically. You could call that an overload of empathy. This allows Jennifer to imagine a scenario for her movie character and the emotions that arise from that imagination are so powerful and realistic that the film's audience is mesmerized. Gladly, when Jennifer removes that imagination from her mind, the emotions are also immediately removed. Jennifer does not "take her character's emotions into the hotel with her". Many reporters assume Jennifer is a method actor and therefore asked her how the emotions of her characters affect her. Jennifer always responded with "they don't". Jennifer is not a method actor, the emotions she feels during acting are not her own, they belong to the character she imaginates. Jennifer creates another person's soul inside her for a scene and lets it express though her body. This is how Francis Lawrence described Jennifer's acting technique.
So when an interviewer asks Jennifer to "kill Han Solo or Indiana Jones", she imaginates a world where that actually happens and feels the emotions connected with that. The interviewer did not know how Jennifer's mind works, if he did, he would not put such questions to Jennifer.
