People who are able to do this in the first place already have so much privilege that that's the reason they are improving their lives.
If you live with any kind of disability or disorder or you're just poor, then you can't have these things.
So as almost all Anna Akana videos the solution is: be healthy and be rich.
Hard to cover basic health and get outside everyday when youre disabled...

adapt her advice to do stuff you can instead of feeling sorry for yourself, just like exercise videos.
i have a back injury that makes it impossible for me to properly work out or play sports without worsening my condition so i adapt and do things i can do instead.
i understand that it can be annoying but you can still prevail 💪

Pro tip for getting up earlier: buy a light alarm clock. Instead of waking up to a dark room you wake up to a gradually brightening room that simulates daylight. Helps mucho.

I’ve spent a lot of $$$$ on therapy and most of it is distilled to these concepts. FEAR is an acronym for forgetting everything is all right. I’ve learned I’d rather be happy alone in peace than in relationships that are chaos and drama. That alone is worth all the money.

One note on saying no to things - investigate whether you say no to someone in order to actually say yes to yourself, or whether you say it cause your mindset does not allow you for joyous spontaneity or diverting from the overly rigid plan. Don't let societal expectations or internalized rules dictate your boundaries.
I really love the getting "'outside your comfort zone 'What scares you?... Let yourself fail.'" This has been so huge in changing my mindset and my relationship with failure and rejection. All your tips are great. I even learned some new tools, Thanks.

Getting up earlier is such a bs. I am tired explaining early risers that there are people who function better if they go to bed later and wake up later. I am so happy that I can get up as late as I wish and my life is so much better because of that.
I like to wake up early just to have the house to myself before everybody moves around, but yeah, whatever works for you night owls.
I agree with you to an extent, but even if people like us function better at night society favors being awake during the day since that's when many things happen.

These self-help videos are amazing, they're hella inspiring. In fact, I enjoy sharing and discussing the topics with my therapist!
I do miss seeing the more silly episodes in between the self-help ones, like that cat spy one or videos that include the twins. Though, I'm sure it takes a lot more time and effort to create and edit, plus Anna's a busy, busy ladeh.

- list down your problems/what worries you and focus on what you can control
- having the morning to yourself is essential
- sleep, diet, exercise, meditation - build them so your life can thrive. Take care of your brain, body, and spirit.
- do something everyday that helps you grow ("Growth makes us feel purposeful and joyful so what scares you, what have you been wanting to do that you have not worked up the courage to? Give yourself permission to fail... push yourself beyond your limits and watch your confidence increase." )
- go out everyday (there's so many benefits)
- say no to the things you don't want.
- if you want to stay updated to the news, don't forget to feed yourself with positivity
- reflect regularly to understand yourself and create a life that serves you.
- work on your mindset. It's fully in your control to shape it.
- rejection is a divine redirection. Have a resilient mindset.
- prioritize yourself: be your own best friend and a love of your life.

We cannot solve our problems with the same mindset we used when we created them. I believe it is best to apply Anna's "10 commandments"
About the getting up earlier point: I am a parent and I am not a morning person... but my child wakes up early. So instead, I put her to bed earlier and she self-soothes and falls asleep on her own (she's four years old, if that matters). I get about two hours to myself at night where I get to do personal projects and just chill and unwind.
I've also set up something called "quiet time" where my child chooses a quiet self-directed activity to do on her own. She is welcome to stay in my room with me, or to be by herself in her bedroom. It can be activities such as colouring, playing with wooden blocks/legos, and pretend play... It works well for days when I need some time to do focused work, or for days when I'm having a headache or my emotional bandwidth is running low.
Thank you once again, Anna! I have to work on the "stop thinking about your problems" and the "get outside your comfort zone", starting TODAY!!! I hope and I'll try to at least!

Thank you Anna. You're contents are really therapeautic. Can't emphasize enough as well on going out for headspace. I went to a cafe for hours. It freed my mind somehow on my overthinking cycle and anxiety that had burdened me for the past weeks. Talking to friends helped a lot as an outlet for me too.

Anna, I wanna thank you for these videos you make. I don't know if you'll ever see this, but I want you to know your are helping people! I've really been learning a lot from these even though they are short, but precise. I've been learning to prioritize my health and mental health lately and to not feel bad about prioritizing me instead of people pleasing. I felt a sense of peace I've never felt before when I set my boundary with my current girlfriend talking to her ex. I would usually feel awful about myself, apologize for being crappy, or compare myself to what "cooler people will do".
I honestly think that was the most sure, and calm head space I've had about the subject and I would have never been able to have gotten there without the awareness you show in your videos. So thank you for making these and showing it's not bad to put yourself first. Because you're right. Why should we prioritize other people when it's our life and we will die one day!

This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my CZcams channel 2 months ago about self development. Now I have 139 subs and almost 75 hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I couldn’t have learned without getting started in the 1st place.
I'm actualy very glad to notice that I'm doing most of those and over the last 2/3 years I have worked gradually towards all this and it has changed my life. I'm still working on things but damn this feels good :)

Anna i have a question, do you ever feel overwhelmed on your healing journey ? Like sometimes it’s too much to do, or when you go deeper you feel like you have so many bad things to fix in yourself ? I feel that so much, and honestly sometimes i feel rage that i have to do so much just to be okay when other people have it easy, like i am so much work to myself that it’s overwhelming
