I'm bit confused. Lets take cource provider example. What if the platforms like udemy, coursera, linda etc decided not to participate to get on provider platform. Then how would beckn come in picture? How would seekers able to see all the available courses? Won't it still create silos?

Bro, these platforms will never agree, the guys who publish their courses on these platforms will basically leave these and come to this decentralized platform.

For understanding concerns about major course providers joining decentralized platforms, it's important to see the broader opportunities these ecosystems offer:
      1. These integrations allow them to tap into new services without building them from scratch.
      2. Decentralized platforms offer growth opportunities by connecting different services and expertise areas, enhancing value through collaboration, and allowing businesses to focus on their strengths while reaching wider audiences.
      3. This approach is particularly beneficial in sectors like education and e-commerce, where integration with financial support systems and logistics creates a more robust offering for users.
Platforms like Udemy and Coursera can benefit from integrating with platforms like Onest, similar to how Ola expanded into food delivery through ONDC.

I have a question. what is the real difference between BAP Client and BAP Network? I am aware of BAP, BPP and BG. So what is BAP Client and BAP Network? I dont see these 2 components in beckn specification. Please help.

BAP client and BAP network are distinct components in the protocol-server, not defined in the standard Beckn specification. They serve different functions, separated by a message queue for decoupling. The BAP client handles communication with your BAP client application, while the BAP network manages interactions with the ONEST network. They operate independently, communicating only through the message queue. For more details, refer to the readme in the repo: github.com/beckn/protocol-server.
if you have further questions, feel free to add it here!

@@tarkalabs Thank you very much. I understood. I have a general question. From my understanding, BPP serves as a provider platform with details about the offered services or products. Sellers are required to join the network and then list the products/services they intend to sell. Could you clarify which API seller application use to add products/services into the backend? Are those APIs and not predefined by Beckon?
For instance, when a seller enrolls in the network using a Registration API offered by the network, they subsequently utilize another API to include the products they intend to sell. These APIs are specific to the domain and are not defined by Beckon. When a search call is directed to BPP, BPP business logic maps the matching products/services into the Beckn-specific schema and return the results? Is my understanding correct?
If my understanding is right, where can I see those APIs specific to ONEST?

No, there are no APIs needed to add product services into the backend. Your BPP has a backend and a DB that has everything stored, the network has nothing to do with that. Beckn has provided the language with which BPP and BAPs can communicate. So if BAP wants to search for goods and services, it hits the /search API to which the BPP queries its own backend and returns what is needed.

      Yes!
