After thinking a few minutes, I take my comment back. If there are micro transactions, they always grant some kind of bonus that can be seen as a bonus that the nobility got in France.

I'm using the French Revolution as a bit of inspiration for a DnD-esque RP me and a couple other friends are doing, so it's really cool to see you discuss the topic, despite me already knowing the basics. While I prefer it when channels do 1 subject open, I like how this video even simply expands into the estates, actually exploring them instead of saying "The last was just da poor and the 1st and second were da rich", making the video actually interesting to watch unlike other channels which discuss the same things everyone else has discussed without a new perspective to it, so keep on working, baby!👍

Okay, that was a fascinating way to lay the groundwork. I've never seen the population prerevolution broken down in that sort of detail. I learned a lot from this (I mean thanks to the way the word is used these days, I really didn't expect to learn that the bourgeoisie were still counted as part of the Third Estate).
You really gotta feel for Louis a bit. Like yeah, He was not a good king. He was weak, easily swayed, reclusive, Pampered, out of touch, and not to mention his royal Fuck up in heaving Austria attack his own country, that’s inexcusable. But in terms of the sheer chaos that was the revolution, It’s violence, The way he died, And the scale of having a revolution coming from both the lower classes seeking equality and the upper nobility wanting to break central authority. You really feel bad for Louis being in such a shitty situation because a part of him really is just trying to keep things together, even if that “together” is an inherently flawed and unfair system.
This is good. This channel does good narrative history so I am looking forward to this. The French Revolution is the end of the early modern period and the beginning of our era.
Louis XIV set the State for failure, Louis XV set the Crown's reputation for failure, and Louis XVI's financial decisions set the economy for failure. If only the Burgundian Faction would've reformed the French political system earlier, the Revolution would've been possibly avoided. Though the main cause that kickstarted the Revolution were the harsh winter and summers of 1788.
If you gonna make more Videos about this period, can you Rank Napoleons Marshals? (They are an incredibale group of generals) Or make a top 20 of His best generals.

France is a pay to win game.
Sounds like the beginning of a series on the French Revolution, I’m all for it and looking forward to more
Same here
Would love more too :)

The prologue of a very entertaining French Revolution series
So basically getting into the higher class in France was like paying microtransactions in a mobile game.
That depends on the mobile game. In some, even paying isn't enough and in some there is no "nobility".
That’s literally how it always is

Ah the french revolution, a time where Erupte exploded, heads rolled gallore and a certain corsican began his meteoric rise.

Your ability to say all of this while not using the word "kulak" is honestly super impressive.
?? Aren't kulaks specific to Russia?
@@augth Yeah, 100%. I just felt like the comparison was inevitable when I started hearing about the slightly well off resented farmers.

The 3rd Estate really should have been broken up more because that was a whole lot of different groups who realistically would never get along.

This does feel a bit too close to Mike Duncan's Revolutions: it feels suspiciously close to how he structured and phrased the first episode.
