There's another downside of using the gyro. You'd need to film at a much higher fps, since the stabilization tends to artifact on blur. So, you loose motion blur, and you will struggle more in low light environments.

it always gets a discount but those discounts generally come from the retailer for black friday rather than sony. Sony keeps the prices up.

a tighter focal length will naturally give you a shallower depth of field. I really like the 70-200 from sony. or the 85mm

Dude, the slide you moved to remove noise is the noise COLOR slide, that only removes the color noise created by the pixels of the sensor. You have to use the slide "Luminance" to actually remove noise.
I like the regular grain and texture of the image. just don't like the color artifacting. removing the texture also makes it look too smooth and plastic like and requires compensation by adding sharpness

I am using a red epic 8k. I would not recommend this camera. Its just my main production camera. I would recommend a a7IV or a7cii instead

Recommend the GM 24-70 f2.8 if your budget allows. Will give you good options for the scenarios you listed.
I find that the a7iv jpg do not give good colors in artificial light especially for the skin tones even when trying many white balance options and tuning. Do you suggest a way to overcome this annoying issue?

I am getting the best colors just by simply adjusting the Kelvin according to the temperature of light.

Lenses are very important. The sony a7Iv also has alot more data when shooting in the right codec
Its great but the rolling shutter is horrible. It would have been my favorite camera if it had decent rolling shutter performance. It is a 7/10 hybrid camera for me. On photo side there is not much more you can want except a faster burst rate like 15 frames per second considering canon r6 is super fast. But video side heavy crop on 4k 60 and bad rolling shutter. No open gate option. Just can’t give it higher then 7 for that reason especially with so many options today. Very good camera cant go wrong with it

Gerald undone has a good review video up. The Sony GM 1.4 is the best if price isn't an issue. Sigma 1.4 DG DN right behind it if you'd prefer to save a few bucks.

depends on how important 4k 60fps is to you...
If photography is as important to you as video the a7IV might be the better option (my choice). But if video is a priority the a7S3 or fx3. BTW- at 24/30 fps the a7IV is sharper than the a7S3.

I got my a7IV for almost 3 weeks now and I am really satisfied (but still keeping my a7R III).
Do you think that 4K 60fps does affect the aperture? I mean, when using Super35 we know that the focal length changed by 1.5 factor, 24mm becomes 36mm. What about the aperture, when opened up to f/2.8 will it record with the f/5.6 effect?
Buy a lens with constant aperture aka Prime lens

This was super in-depth! It definitely sounded like there was a negative review coming, but 9.8 sounds pretty legit.
I love the design of this camera, and the custom buttons seem to be a big plus. But yeah that toggle switch issue indeed seems like it could be annoying.

one of the best for sure. Like someone might say the a7rV is the best because its 60mp or the gfx 100s is better because its 100mp. but i think its on the team for best cameras
