- Yoo guys, Moxsy back with another Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree build. Today we are talking about my Messmer Faith Dexterity Pyromancer build. This build utilities the new remembrance weapon from messmer and the new flame incantations to dish out some serious damage. I can’t remember what enemy drops it but the winged serpent helm enhances messmer fire skills
should be the fire knight captain just before messmers bossroom on the bridge
Mesmers helm does the same thing
Currently using winged serpent with the drake knight set so much better than the og helm
Winged serpent helm only increases the damage of fire knight skills which are flame spear and flame skewer.

Put the coil shield in your offhand. It is also 1 of only 3 "deadly poison" weapons from the base game
Keep up the great work man! Would love to see a Strength build next. Lots of new weapons but I didn't find much I liked better than base game options, whereas dex got all kinds of insane new stuff
Nice. I just finished my full DLC playthrough (I had to kill last boss with Guts sword for reasons) and now I'm free up to try out a lotta fun stuff. Looking forward to trying this out
Hey guys notice how he’s mostly fighting man-sized bosses? Against any big bosses, particularly DLC the combo is far too long to get off. Excellent at killing mobs tho
yes i realized that too, most main bosses will smack you out of the combo so you could just do the first part of the combo on bigger openings because you dont have a charged r2
Those of us who were watching while he was streaming knows he didn't do it because of the build. He only fought those bosses because they were the only ones he had yet to kill. He did also fight bigger bosses though. Most of them were just dead by the time he made this build.
@@2koldwilson good to know but even if he didnt all you have to do is stagger the boss then let out the ash of war who will do alot more damage then the critical hit
faith dex is so much fun didn’t know his weapon scaled well :)
i love this weapon, but i wish it had light slash attacks instead of just pokes
I mean to be fair it is an "impaling" spear so it's all thrusts and throws

They're pretty damn terrible, can't even enhance them with buffs.
Winged serpent helm gives 10% damage boost to messmers assault and it still looks good with the set
Strange if Winger Serpent Helm, is better than Messmer’s own for this build.
Winged Serpent Helm: Enhances Fire Knight skills by 10% and Messmer's Helm: Slightly enhances incantations of Messmer's fire and Fire Knight skills by 3%
A pretty good one to replace the Millicent’s prosthetic talisman is the two-handed talisman in the dlc im sure it’s like a 15% dmg increase as long as you twohand the spear

For all those looking into this build too, if you have a Walking Mausoleum that’s unused in your playthrough for a Remembrance Duplication, you can get Messmer’s Spear and Spell by that method. You don’t necessarily need to use the coffin in the DLC.

Wouldn't the dragon communion seal with split arcane/faith levels work better? Increase the damage? Would open you up to bleed builds as well
Would the Smithing Talisman or the Axe Talisman work better for the thrown heavy attack?
Decimates base game. Does exactly fuck all to Horned Warriors in the DLC.
ik, the damage feels so inconsistent and im scadu blessing 19, i think it might just be that more enemies are resistant to fire in the dlc since fire damage was so good in the base game
@@jacoblahaie8231it's lore too. Messmer literally conducted a cleansing of fire, it was a hellish war. Only accurate for the hornsent to start building some resistance to fire.

Talisman of the dread works better than fire scorpion charm since there’s no increased damage taken involved
It doesn't work on messmer's spells and weapon

This paired with a fire art messmer soldier spear with the fire type giant hunter carried me through the dlc but i had to change it for Radahn only unfortunately. Otherwise this is incredible for ng+ too you will bully the main game bosses guaranteed (even the fire resistant ones since you can turn the messmer soldier spear sacred)

Sorry I’m confused. You said before we kill Mesmer we can get the weaker version but at the end you said to get the 2 incantations we have to kill Mesmer?
Everyone sleeps on it, but I actually have always sacrificed a little damage to run dragoncrest greatshield in PvE.
Also, Blessed Blue Dew talisman is goated for open world play. Saves needing blue flasks to maintain ash of war usage.
Just so you know winged serpent helm buffs the weapon art on messmers spear
Does the new talisman for throwing weapons go good with this build instead of the fire damage talisman?
Yeah but the fire one buffs it better if you don't use the throw as much because the ash of war is fire based

You should try and mess around with the weapon euphoria it’s basically a comet azur but better
Edit: some get confused on how you activate thinking you have to get kills you actually just have to get enough hits to go to stage 1 then there’s stage 2 and stage is where enemies start shaking in there boots😂

For anyone complaining about this build being such a high lvl requirement, i saw another video of someone being lvl 150, my friend runs it on lvl 150 and does great dmg on ng+5 and im level 281 on ng+7 and it deletes both base game and dlc bosses

I faced Messmer after defeating 1 single remembrance boss like 2 hours in the dlc and was like wtf😂 is it over now?!
I was disappointed with the fire knight seal, Im using the claw mark seal and it just has a ton of incant scaling (over 300 at +25) where the fire knight one doesnt even reach 300.
I tested it out using the fire serpent incantion, and I always got more damage from the clawmark seal. Kinda disappointed that a seal designed to buff a specific skill doesnt buff it more than one that doesnt. Incant scaling diff i guess
Offhand it and u still get the buff while getting the higher incant scaling. That's how spellcasting has always worked in this game

i fear this build is far too OP. Trying not to spoil anything, but i beat the sunflower boss in 3 attempts without even attempting to dodge, just spamming LT. Went and researched the boss in hopes that everyone was saying he was extremely easy, but apparently its the opposite, and people have had extreme difficulty with him. Going to progress a little more but may have to respec out if it continues to make the game this easy
Well dragon slayer katana also melt that boss. Just hit the head and you melt the hp of the boss.

Lvl 234 is crazy no wonder why nobody is running that build
The level don't really matter when it comes to the dlc, the scadutree frags are what change your damage the most in it, base levels do wonders in the base game but the frags make your damage sky rocket in the dlc
from the beginning in the DLC im playing with my main Char in new game Plus 7 xD Imagine being so bad ya need to say som bad and flame Fromsoftware because its so hard xD

Ngl I really wanted to do a Mesmer build but this shit is kind of bad like the whole thing is based around the ash which against any boss just sucks you get knocked out if it so easy and the throwing and regular hitting don’t seem to do a lot tbh
I can do about 1-2k per light attack, and just have high poise and you won't get knocked out of the ash, it's crazy I'm on ng+7 and bullied all base game bosses and threw the dlc bosses into lockers, you just gotta know when to attack, if you dont think you can get the whole ash out you can do the first which has range because of the fire and it hits for about 3-4k depending on your buffs. It goes crazy just got to be mindful yk

@tylerricker230 yeah, It's pretty crazy, I just use commanders standard with it aswell. Just have higher poise and it does wonders

@tylerricker230 I was copying the messmer build, even with the armor for the look, but messmers armor doesn't give you enough poise for bosses, it gives you enough for pvp but if you don't want bosses hitting you out you gotta have above 50 poise. Alternatively, choose smart times to use the ash of war if you want to use messmers armor. I use messmers armor and it just takes some thought on when to use the aow. Go for it! If you don't like it you can always change back! It's definitely fun though it's been a blast for my last 3 playthroughs makes you finish the game real quick

@jrdntb not at all! But once you get to a certain level, basically 200+ you have so many points that you don't have a unique build.
At the level we see here you're able to have 50 vigor, 50 str, 50 dex, and 50 faith, with points leftover for mind/end. You no longer have a dedicated build because you have too many points.
If I'm level 800, because as you said, the game goes on past level 300 with max points in each stat, what would you say my build is? It just doesn't exist anymore.
By all means, play the game the way you enjoy and want to play it. But if you're level 230, don't make a youtube video describing your build lol
Strong mobs and big DLC bosses will not let you land this combo, your poise will be broken and most of the time you wont even land more than a hit, do not respec to this build, is not worth it

Yep! I was always knocked out of my combos. Once I changed to heavy armor I was able to finish the animation. 🎉🎉

This shit does 0 dmg i deal 370 dmg per hit (unsafe), unlucky i guess imma stick with my greatword and do the good ol parry hit roll hit until i find someone that isnt complete ass lmao

It's crazy, I best messmer got it and then smacked all the other bosses, you have to be mindful of when to do the ash and you'll do great, I'm on ng+7 and I just ran through it so easily with this thing it's crazy asf
Also you’re lvl 231 which is weird since most people are staying lvl 150
How is that weird? So because other CZcamsrs are staying 150 automatically means he should be 150

Nothing wrong with being a high level, while in the dlc most of your damage comes from the scadutree frags, level doesn't do as much as you think in the dlc, the frags are crazy with them high level your damage sky rockets
