- Dinosaur is a feature film produced by Walt Disney Pictures, and released to movie theatres in 2000. It combines the use of live-action backgrounds with computer animation (CGI) of prehistoric creatures, notably the titular dinosaurs... It's a really great film that you should watch.

I remember this was the only trailer on my Tarzan VHS that I never skipped. Tarzan and Dinosaur are great movies.
I was always scared cuz back then these were the most realistic 10 ton lizard monsters I had ever seen at the age of 6
SAME
Me too. As a kid, this teaser was unlike anything I had ever seen before. No narrator, no cutaways, no title cards. Just five glorious minutes of uninterrupted film. I wish more movies would market themselves like this.
They're both my top 2 favorite Disney movies.
Lol same
I remember this trailer blowing my mind in the theater. I wish more studios had the balls to release a trailer like this. No description, no voice over. Just an awesome little short film
Absolutely same here, much better times !
Lion King did the same thing as this six years prior. Obviously both were Disney films. Would be amazing if Disney did this more.
This opening is extended in the real movie
True, but wouldn't that be spoiling tho'..??
Same here.
I remember this trailer as a kid and it just blew me away. This film is so underrated its unreal. I feel priviledged to say that I was lucky enough to see this film as a kid. Amazing!!!
Can't believe this film came out 20 years ago. I remember seeing this trailer when watching Tarzan in cinema in 1999 and being blown away by how real it looks. Still looks real to this day
[Boar Squealing]
And next year it’ll be 25 yrs old! 🦕🦖
Remember how real this looked with it first came out as kids?
Yeah! It even beats a ton of films today!
(Growling Starts)
Yes. The dinosaurs look lifelike to me.
Yep for me you gave Jurassic Park a run for its money
That opening sequence has to be compared to ANY film in the history of cinema.
It is grandiose, majestic, magnificent......everything we expect of a Disney opening sequence
Cars 3
This trailer used to scare the living daylights out of me! I haven't seen it in 11 years, and the CGI still looks flawless, even better than some of the stuff that comes out now.
Still better than the Jurassic World trilogy and 65..
The most underrated Disney movie of all time... A very good ride at Animal Kingdom too :) I think I still have a VHS copy of this
I'd give that honor to Treasure Planet.
The film is ok......but the ride is something else, one of the best ever.
(Roaring Starting)
For 2000, this CG is still solid. Maybe it’s the usage of real life locations or the CZcams quality, but still.
this and Jurassic Park were my favorite childhood movies. This is also by far one of the best movie trailers I've ever seen, especially as kid.
I agree jurassic park and dinosaur are indeed the best movies ever made.
To anyone who hasn't seen this movie, make sure to watch it. I used to watch this as a kid every day. The graphics are amazing for even modern day, the story is cute, the acting is good. I totally recommend you see this!
Character one: I spy with my little eye...
Character two: a rock😒
@@thefruitoflife3568 You got it again! Oh, you are good.
Disney must've studied this stuff really well, because a lot of the behaviors of the dinosaurs are pretty accurate to the late Cretaceous period. There are quite a few flaws, but 14 years later I'm still blown away by how good this movie is!
[Everyone Dogs Yipping and Barking]
Yeah
Goddd seeing this just makes me sad. I remember this very preview on some Disney VHSs too!
I also remember getting this on video for my birthday as a kid, along with a cube TV (like they did back then).
As much as Disney films are great, I find it hard to watch ones I remember coming out when a kid in the 90s, due to nostalgia of the entire period. Makes me sad and yearn for what I can never have again.
Still got this on VHS remember going to see this in theatres aged 6 with my family. Such good memories :)
+arsenalrulez1000 SAAAAAAAME! :D
(Dog Yipping)
CGI still holds up after 15 years!!!
TheRottenPancake Yeah, but this kind of CGI, it wouldn't take millions of dollars to make, any college project could do it these days.
***** Yeah way
+KingZ What...? You're joking right?
farinheit2celsius I think he just meant the graphical CGI, cause it actually isn't too hard to fiddle around with graphical options and get great results even in some free 3D programs.
farinheit2celsius Although the ANIMATION part DEFINITELY isn't a hard task to do.
This movie rocked. I loved it when I was 9, and I love it now. One of Disney's last good movies.
I found this so incredibly scary back when I was a child, and the egg going around in the second part of the video was so beautiful and funny
haha I remember this when I was a kid, so nostalgic I remember getting the toys from a happy meal at Mc Donald's x'D
I remember too.
But sadly i lost them :'(

+JesseMusicc Ohh shit yeahh!! Omg I remember that.
I feel like crying! I used to watch this film all the time, had the toys, had the PC game, still have the VHS copy... Must watch this again sometime.
I loved it to when I was like 2 to 5 years old
NERF HQ Don't grow up, man
I saw this back in the theater in 2000 and have considered the film a classic ever since.
Made on computers from 2000- which were weaker than todays smartphones. And still looks superrealistic- good job Disney!
I remember it like it was just yesterday. I still have the VHS copy. I even had the dinosaur backpack, it was blue and had a picture of Aladar on the front and a faded out Carnotaur in the background. I even had the Aladar head puppet I got from McDonald's. Oh the childhood memories
I remember having backpack of it too, I used to also have sandals of it too.
Freaking best opening sequence ever.
(Pig Squeals)
Literally nostalgia at its finest
I would always watch this movie, It's still my favorite movie! My heart aches when I watch the trailer, it just reminds me of my childhood.
I watched this when I was 21...and loved every minute of it...I'm 34 now, and still love every minute of it...epic music throughout the film too...enjoy
Such a good movie. I saw in theatres when I was a kid and I've had the VHS forever. Amazing story and beautiful visuals.
I remember this movie from my childhood. It used to be my number one favorite, i'd watch it a million times a day and week. I still have the puppet head of the main A character:) I have a memory box full of stuff.. Good times:3 I actually miss it.
Summer Rose DUDE, YEAH. I totally remember the puppet thing, when you squeezed the mouth you'd hear this plastic noise and stuff. I think it was a mcdonalds happy meal toy.
Yeah
This was, is, and always will be, my favorite movie. Jeez, I was seven when I last watched this movie. I need to watch it again sometime. Time goes by way too fast.
walking with dinosaurs made me remember this :).
You can see how effects have come along in years, but there's no ignoring how gorgeous to look at this is, regardless.
Even though the movie turned out differently (having dialogue and such) I still enjoyed the movie a lot, and I still do to this day, still, I wonder how the movie would've been if it didn't have dialogue
roboguy75 ya know as a 6 year old I think I always enjoyed the visual experience of the film more so compared to the actual dialogue
19 years later and this is still a masterpiece. The CGI was incredible for 2000 and I remember watching this as a child XD also that Carnotaur freaked me out 0-0
This movie is my childhood
now this is one of a kind movie
this was my favourite movie as a kid :)
This animation is still nearly unparalleled. Simply amazing eye-candy.
This trailer terrified me when I was 5 years old but hearing the music as the egg is traveling makes me think of the future.
Holy crap! It's hector from spill!!
i turned 7 when this movie came out...one of my favorite childhood movies
So many memories! And the music
Disney needs to make more Dinosaur movies like this.
Yeah seriously I will pray for that
movie was extremely well done for it's time. the graphics.
Hold it. You have to check this movie clearly..
(Cat Yowling)
What a job made Disney with the film, a good beginning for "What can do Disney and the CGI?"... Sadly, 5 years later we would have Chicken Little.
Chicken Little: Also known as the worst movie of my life.
Oh sure, I supposed you'd think I have bad taste in Disney movies if I were to say I enjoyed Chicken Little as a guilty pleasure of mine🙄
Dear lord, the overwhelming waves of nostalgia... I used to love the shit out of this movie as a little kid. I should go back and watch it sometime if I ever get the chance. I don't even care if the film is as weak as I've heard the criticisms say, that movie still has a dear place in my heart.
[Dalmatian Puppies Yipping]
Same.
Yeah me too
Man, bringin' back memories. Haven't seen this movie in YEARS, one of my favorite childhood movies.
(Many Kittens Yowls)
I miss my childhood :(
What amazed me is how they made the dinosaurs look so good even when they talked. I also like the increased size of carnatours. Made them look so frightening.
Ah yes, this classic trailer. I was so excited to see this movie when I first saw the trailer in theaters (can't for the life of me remember what the movie I was seeing was though). That last bit with the lemurs opening the egg also really intrigued me because my little nine year old self kept thinking "why are there monkeys in a dinosaur movie?" Anyway, many great memories of this movie and I even still own the VHS
Was it Tarzan or any Disney movie that came out around that time? Because I remember seeing this teaser in front of Tarzan in the theaters and the VHS copy.
definitely not Tarzan because I didn't see it for the first time until it came out on VHS. I honestly can't remember.
adamtherock2008 was it Toy Story 2?
ooh maybe it was that then. I definitely saw that it theaters
adamtherock2008 I remember seeing this and in early 2001 I saw the Spiderman teaser (the one with the twin towers and was pulled from theaters after the event of 9/11) were best trailers that I saw in theaters.
I feel sad for this, my eyes are wet with tears. And all that is causing me nostalgia is the music at the beginning of this trailer after the message ''Walt Disney invites you to preview an all new motion picture experience'', that music is causing me sadness and memories, the one with the flute or whatever else. But, all that matters is having had a beautiful childhood.
This was a preview on the Tarzan VHS tape. I remember I would put it on just to watch this (and Tarzan of course).
My grandfather's company rented out the helicopters they used to film some of these clips.
Unforgettable trailer. and movie. Still impressive, 13 years after.
Wow, if Disney chose to re-release movies in the cinema this would have to be on the list. Imagine it in 3D!!
Fantastic movie for its time.
The nostalgia hit me... I'm getting old damn, had this masterpiece on VHS and loved it
I used to bloody LOVE this movie, it was a childhood favourite that i only just remembered today. Mental, i had this on video cassette! xxx Long live films that remind you of more simple times
I remember when I first saw this.. such an incredible movie so many memories.
If only the rest of the movie was like this.
This is actually my favorite Walt Disney movie ever!❤😊
Wow, I must have watched this film way more times than I thought. I remember way more than I thought of this sequence.
I remember the actual film being pretty good, but the thing that got me the most was the soundtrack. James Newton Howard was a GENIUS!
This CGI looks amazing, even to this day.
I loved this movie as a kid
I was watching an old VHS of Tarzan and this was one of the trailers. I just stared at it in awe and it brought back extremely faded memories. I didnt even know the movie existed until I saw the trailer but I feel like I saw it before, It was weird to bring back memories I didnt know I had. I was 3 when it came out.
I forgot all about this movie until my friend mentioned it. I haven't seen this since it first came out in theaters. Brings back good times.
So many people I know now still haven't seen this movie! It's always been one of my favs! I saw this in the cinema and when I found out there was a year till i could see it i waited with baited breath and I was not disappointed!
This was my #1 favorite movie as a kid. So many memories. However I was terrified of many things throughout:
the face at 00:27
that little dinosaur (even close up) at 1:20
Yar threatening to kill little Aladdar
and that oviraptor
THE FIRST TIME THAT I SAW IN THE MOVIE I WAS SHOCK CAUSE THE GRAPHICS IS SOO VERY BRILLIANT ! I SALUTE THIS MOVIE AND TO THE DINOSAURS IN MEMORY OF THEM!
I can't believe it's been 13 years, I remember seeing this movie in theaters like it was yesterday
Story time. I didn't watch this in theatres, I watched it when I was around 4 or 5(2002 at least). One day I came back from pre-k and my mom had bought our first VHS or fixed the one we already had. It was a happy moment and we put some disney movie we had rented from the video store, and the first thing you could see was this trailer. I remember watching it and thinking that it was the best and most advanced piece of animation I would see in my whole life.(I also remember the 2000 at the end and being confused because 2000 had already happened haha)
I never actually remember what Dinosaur was about, this sequence is so fantastic visually, this always stuck out to me way more than then dinosaurs and lemurs talking did for some reason
This movie is my childhood.
I remember watching on VHS tape all the time :')
I remember I used to play with the action figures/Dinosaur toys while I was in bathtubs.
Man this movie was on my top 3 when I was younger!!!!... Ahhhh memories
my favorite childhood movie
same
Same :D
Just watched it again! first time in like 10 years or more. Just as fun as it used to be, do I dare say even more fun :D
This used to be my favorite movie when younger:) I used to watch it 4 times or more a week:) good times.
I remember when I would always watch this movie as a kid.
Memories :(
According to my diary, I watched this movie twice when it first came out. I was 11. I didn't remember it at all until I found this trailer, then as soon as it started, I said, "Oh, THAT movie!" Thanks for jump-starting my memory. :)
Favorite childhood movie and now I'm 20 :') good old days
It was inmaginable to see graphics like this in those days
Disney should make a 3D version of this film. The film would be popular again.
Then it begins. Aladar vs Patchi. Oh wait...are they even in the same time period?
Make a sequel please
4:02 to 4:12 was one of the most amazing views of dinosaurs ever! It made dinosaur look giant and awesome!
I remember how good the special effects were for its time.
I saw this in the theatres when I was younger and thought it was amazing, but sooooo scary. lol. I remember wearing a baseball cap and having to cover my eyes at certain scenes.
favorite movie as a kid
Man, i loved that movie so much when i was little!. Also looks really good animated, especially for a 2000 movie. Some movies from that time look less realistic even it's not made with cgi
I love this movie!!! Watching this really brought back lots of childhood memories...
Absolutely my favourite movie as a kid! And visually stunning! Watching this back now is incredible
Questo trailer è presente anche sulla copia di pochaontas
E ci vede sull mio VHS tarzan
Appare sia in tarzan che in toy story 2
I remember I'd watch this movie everyday when I was little...I miss those days
Man, I remember first watching Dinosaur on Toon Disney, probably another one of my favorite guilty pleasures of Disney growing up in the 2000's :)
my all time favorite movie!! lost the vcr for this then 10 years later found it on dvd and i nearly bursted into tears!! bought the movie the second i saw it! popped it into the dvd played and the main title music gave me goosebumps!! getting goosebumps right now hearing the music!!!
===========> best disney movie ever !!!!! :')
I feel like the era in which this film was made was the era in which most disney films got forgotten. Disney's Underrated Era. Along with the other films made during its time; Tarzan, Treasure Planet, Atlantis, Emperor's New Groove, a lot of great films. I feel like they don't get noticed as often as Disney's other films.
Ironically my valley girl buddy Amanda started college around that said era of Disney
I loved this movie! I can't believe it's nearly 10 years old.
I remember getting the Carnotaur hand puppet and Brachiosaur toy from McDonald's.
i was watching this when i was a kid..
:,,)))
one of my favorite movies as a kid i still think its badass
Omg I still have this movie and I love it one of my favorites
This is how the entire film should have been! No talking and only a little anthropomorphism where necessary!
._. No, I enjoyed it just fine, so maybe you can take your request and shove it lol.
My favorite disney movie of all time
Just found this movie on VHS, so many memories
I saw this in the movie theater when it came out! I remember I had an Aladar head puppet I got from my McDonald's Happy Meal too and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. I can't believe it's been 13 years!
