    F. Schubert: Piano sonata in A minor D 537 op. 164 - I. Allegro ma non troppo
    Abstract:
Professor Schiff talks about the relevance of upbeat of the beginning, the pulse and therefore the tempo in the work. In some passages the pulse and tempo are worked out by marking it with the hand and in some moments Schiff plays, so that, immediately afterwards, the student performs it. Those tempo changes modify the color of the piece. In addition, they are aware of the nuances that appear in the Sonata, they must be played with maximun attention to give them the right character at all times. The teacher explains to the student that Schubert is the composer who has the most colors in his works and, through nuances, creates a wide range of tones.
