You guys do you. No one really knows your relationship but you. Just make sure you both have the ability to have a bit of space apart in the flat. Especially if one of you have had a bad day or feeling sick and want to chill out on your own
@Nicky L I mean one person chills in the living room and one in the bedroom. It’s hard being on top of each other in a small flat if you’ve had a bad day, especially as you say with London prices making options on flats limited.
Eve I am so happy for you! And don‘t worry about other‘s opinions - my boyfriend and I moved in together after only 5 months of dating in 2018 and we are getting married in three weeks 😊 so as long as you feel happy, don‘t care about what other people say!

As a viewer I'm happy you're in a relationship just based off the stuff you've shared on here and your getting together story is adorable! I love how your flatmates did everything in their power to help you guys along, haha. But it's definitely more than fine to not know everything about your relationship, that'd feel a bit intrusive. So I'm really glad you're keeping up those boundaries.

Edit: for the language practice, I can recommend looking for language tandem partners locally to you, there's tons of people posting on Facebook. A lot of the time it's people who have moved from another country so you get to help them with your first language and vice versa. It's also more relaxed and like a regular friendship so I find it nicer than taking language courses, and you can find someone you connect with/ who's looking for a similar level of practice, like discussing books together etc.
Eve asking everyone to be nice is the funniest thing ever. You deserve every bit of happiness you get. ❤️
As a Modern Languages graduate, I joined a Meet-Up group for my Spanish, would go and see films in the language and reading books in it too. I like to read children’s books or books I have already read in English so I can follow the plot fairly easily. Duolinguo for Italian was really helpful too.

Congratulations on finishing your degree and beginning a relationship! It sounds like your reasoning about living together is spot on. As expensive as London is, it doesn’t make sense to not live together. Especially if this will actually allow your relationship to bloom. In terms of all the changes in your life, just remember that when it comes to stress and mental health, “positive” changes are actually more stressful and anxiety provoking than negative. I think it is because they disrupt your daily routine more and its usually things that you have to absorb into life versus work through and let go of. So, give yourself some grace to process all the change and enjoy the new experiences as well as you can. Good luck with the move and the next course of study.

me and my boyfriend moved in a few months ago after just 6 months of dating too! dont worry about what other people think, if the timing is right for you then thats what matters! im sure youll have a few little teething problems as we did, but it'll all work out!! 🥰
This is kind of similar to my relationship. We met on an internship in 2018 but we were just friends didn’t see each other that way, he also had a girlfriend. We then were on a grad scheme together and still work on the same floor in the same company. 4 years later in 2021 when we were both single we got together after being friends for so long. And because of a situation where his landlord is selling his flat he moved in with me after just 9/10 months. But it’s already the best relationship I’ve had and at just over a year we are now signing another flat for 18 months. Don’t worry about opinions

Edit: Also, I've just finished my journalism degree with an NCTJ alongside it, so I'm excited to see you start yours! Interestingly though, I'm kind of the opposite to you in that I've studied journalism at uni, but have found that traditional news reporting isn't my thing. I'm better at feature writing etc, but I still don't know exactly what field I want to go into. I'm grateful for the skills I've learned in my degree though and luckily it's something that can lead to a variety of career paths.

Eve you should consider Interpretation (part time at least) with both German to English and Spanish to English. These are much needed in the service and healthcare industry as it's lacking without a doubt and the fact that you are very proficient in 3 languages with university level expertise is such a rare skill that would benefit so many people. You could pursue Journalism part time and Interpretation part time, maybe 2-3 days journalism and 1-2 days Interpretation? I know hospitals could really do with a wider pool of interpreters. Food for thought but absolutely utilise your multilingual skills, it will get you far xxx
