I'm 2 years late to this party, but I just painted mine in one evening thanks to your helpful walkthrough. It looks nearly the way I intended. Thank you!
Awesome! I wish I had known about Huge Minis basing stuff when I painted the green. I love basing the bigger minis. Mediums and smaller, I'll often just do a flourish or nothing at all. That IS very generous of you! Thanks for watching!
Is it just me, but every paint job on a white dragon, ends up being a pale blue dragon. I get it’s icewindale, an it’s incredibly cold, but should the scales just be white, but normal leathery skin between the wings. Love the red eyes. Really nice idea.
Fair feedback. I went blue because we read blue as cold and it is a cold-based dragon. Light gray tones can look just dirty but, if I were to paint another white dragon right now, that's the direction I would take for variety. Pure white is weird but I don't think that makes sense - wouldn't paint a red dragon pure red. Thanks for watching!
I love the paintjob on this. I actually mostly copied (didn't have same exact shades) for mine as I wasn't having great inspiration outside of plain old white, so thanks for the video. I do have a question: at 9:26 you show off your gargauntuan green, and yours looks way better than mine - I'd appreciate any tips or guides to this (didn't see a video when I searched your channel but I may have missed it. Great job again!
Thank you! That's great to hear. I painted that green long before I started this channel. I don't remember the specific colors but I think I coated most of it in a darker green, the wings in a lighter green and the bones in a tan. I would have applied a thinned black wash on the entire thing. For the underbelly, multiple coats of extremely thinned cream. Finished with a little red dot of an eye. You can see more photos on Instagram (where I started) instagram.com/p/Bzed-xWhJ35/ Thanks again!! This comment made my day.
Not including drying wait times, maybe 3 or 4 hours? I powered through the entire thing yesterday. I stayed up waaaay too late to get this video done. The week got away from me.
What's your favorite mini you've painted?
I love a Bugbear I painted, also with Huge Minis basing effects!
That’s a great one! Thanks!

Thank you for sharing! I'm so happy the video was able to help! We'd love to see a pic over on our discord.gg/fryminis
Probably the beholder I painted awhile ago.
Nice dragon
Beholders are a blast to paint because they can look like whatever you want! Thanks!
Can attest that the gloss varnish is more noticeable in person! It looks amazing!
Thanks! I'm really happy with how this bozo turned out!
I used the deep cuts green dragon for my white dragon. Just preferred the pose.
That's a really great one - the pose is awesome, you're right! I've still got to paint the red gargantuan.
That's the same mini I painted and gave to "it's a critical" I was feeling generous lol. Good paint job fry. I didn't base mine.

Have you thought about repainting your Arveiaturace? Or adding paint details?
Absolutely! I've just got so many Bones to paint at the moment! 🤓
@@FryMinis Ohhhhh I know how that goes. Liked and subscribed btw
Awesome! Thanks! We always have fun over on Discord too.
How long did it take you?
