I have an oooooold exmark and it has virtually zero suspension. I bought an upgrade seat spring base which basically just raised the seat. Still hits hard and sucks for the back. My next purchase will be a new mower. Too old to cut so much grass without some good suspension. My back hurts thinking about it. These mowers have gotten so expensive, just pisses me off. I also noticed this TORO has no arm rests? Kinda strange.
you can order it with arm rests if you like Jared...but man that My Ride suspension seat is awesome!!!
I've got a 54" Bad Boy Maverick bought new in 2017 and mow around 2&1/2 acres with it .Never had a single problem or issue with it. I absolutely love it.
I have the next step down Toro 54" with the my ride suspension and it's a game changer for any kind of rough lawn. I think I paid 6,000 or so 2 years ago. If the grass is not too long and not wet I can mow at top speed it's awesome
Yep. I went from a Deere rider to a Cub ZT and cut my mowing time in half. I have bad tremors and didn't think a ZT would be possible and went to look at the steering wheel model but the salesman showed me how he could setup a ZT2 with the armrests for me and it works well plus saved me about 2500 over the steering wheel model.
I bought a 60” Bad Boy avenger last august, and it truly is a Bad Boy. It’s my first experience with a zero turn anything !! Yes a small learning curve !! But trust me, this bad boy is an amazing mower !!
I purchased a Gravely 660. Before using it to cut the grass, I did 2 things to help keep it looking brand new. I'll bet I'm one up on Stoney for doing what I did.
My 60” exmark lazer Z model s has been my best yard buddy for 7 years now, it is much like your new toro. I’ve only 5 or 6 acres to mow and don’t mow as often as I should, so I’ve got less than 300 hours on it. It has held up well and I expect it’ll outlast me. You didn’t show blowing off the belts, you should check under the deck pulley covers (pop off the black side covers and flip up the foot rest); it is amazing how much grass and dirt and even sticks can get in there.
Right about cleaning around belts, and I blow out air filter frequently also.
Great overview on the Toro with my ride! I didn’t realize it had all of that suspension. We have a Ferris that has suspension for the hole operators station and engine separately from the mowing deck which is smooth. That Toro looked pretty smooth riding too, and a bit cheaper cost!!! Nice!!! 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸
i bought a new mower this year and it's a toro... so far i love it. i like it more and more each time i use it.
Josh, I just got a Toro 2000 about 3 weeks ago. The cut is amazing. and anyone with fescue (like I have here in NC) cutting high is key.
We have the same mower with My Ride suspension. But it's a smaller one 50", deck. Also have a 60" Kubota zero turn .
The Kubota hits hard on those bumps.
The Toro has saved my back
Thanks Josh, I’m a Scag Turf Tiger 2 fan......I highly recommend them, I’ve got a 2021
Got a zero turn for the farm a few weeks ago. It took a couple hours getting used to it, but will never go back to the other mowing machines.
I use a preasure washer on my SCAG 3-4 times a year for the last 20 years. I have never had problems due to the water? I also use a leaf blower after every use. I wax it once a year.
Same here… 👍
Very nice mower. Exactly what I needed....
Sweet ride, Josh! Toro makes some nice equipment.
You got that right!
It is all very well to say 'Don't mow wet grass', but in our climate in winter, it takes about a week to dry out a lawn. Unfortunately, one almost never gets a week without rain, and the grass grows all winter. If you do not mow wet grass, it will be as tall as the proverbial elephant's eye. Sometimes needs must.
Good afternoon Josh the mower looks awesome have fun mowing
Whooooooo
Hey Josh thank you for the video I enjoyed it and when ever I use my friends push lawn mower sometimes I need to scrape out the bottom of it he tells me use the hose and I him know I use a spackle knife I told him you don't want to get it's wet but he thinks that he knows best because he's seventy-one years old woo
Dew is condensation of water from the air due to drop to cooler air temperatures.
Good tip.. I do the same thing with my mower...
Looks like a great machine. That spring in the front feels like it will grab my leg hair and never let go though! :D
LOOKS LIKE FUN
Nice1
I'd love to mow dry grass. However, temps for me are 95deg by 8am.
I start at 7am but still have morning dew. I blow it off and put a small fan blowing under the deck for several hours to dry it off.
Wet grass will rot a deck if left under it without scrapping it off
Have you thought about adding a shelf to outside of the chicken tractor to get the buckets out if the way while you are cutting the grass?
Another informative video.
Truth. Wet grass is murder on your mower. There are a few weeks of the year where I have to schedule my life around mowing. If it rains I can’t mow until the grass dries but if it grows too long and gets all juicy, it will never dry. Lol. This year it’s been too dry. We finally got a good rain a couple days ago but we’re getting hotter days and it’s not too bad anymore, but my little mower can barely handle it when he gets a little bit too long, if it’s wet, it’s pretty much impossible. Lol
Worked 3 years on Toro Grandstands, I can not tell you how many time we cut in the rain let alone right after it rained. Can't say it caused any more damage then anything else we did with them. Maybe have to sharpen the blades sooner after wet grass, and of course the extra back breaking from trying to empty wet baggers. But we had those Toros in the shop at least a couple times each season for engine work, belts, pulleys getting stuck, hydro pumps blowing, blade spindles breaking.... for a $10k mower, they were a waste of money for sure. I hope you have much better results with your unit.
Looks like a nice mower. My 2009 Ferris has suspension on the front and helps quite a bit. It also has a nice Kawasaki engine. The full rider suspension would be great on my bumpy lawn. I agree with you sentiment, a zero turn is the only way to mow large properties. Did you buy the Toro or is it on loan?
I mow wet grass even in the rain with my rt pro-Spartan 61-inch cuts with no problem
LOL! First thing my father taught me , when I started mowing for money was- don't mow wet grass & NEVER use water to clean off the mower!! 😁👍
Love Kawasaki engines- my first bike was a 750 Kawasaki.. 🏆
A zero turn is a lot better for big wide open spaces. You can cut so much faster on a zero turn mower over a lawn tractor.
Awesome mower Josh!!
you need to come up and do a review brother
@@StoneyRidgeFarmer let me know and I’m there.
I’ve got the Titan minus the MyRide. I thought that $1,000 option was a bit much. 😮
After mowing with my tractor it is cleaned with my leaf blower. Electric leaf blowers are great. My farm is too steep for a zero turn, at least one with bars, unfortunately.
Interesting that you would say not to rinse off the deck using water. I remember seeing one brand that had built in ducting and a quick connect for a water hose. So you just connected the hose, turned on the water and it would spray out under the deck cleaning out all junk.
Now don't ask me what brand as I can't remember. I just remember it thought it was a weird feature. When I was a kid I had a recurring summer job cutting grass for a housing company. The usual clean up was done using compressed air and it was just fine. Those machines saw some pretty hard use though, so they were replaced every other year, which was excessive. My father bought one of the machines being swapped out. It's still kicking and it was made in 82...
That's a real nice zero turn!
But a real game changer that it needs, is a way to lift up the mower deck, to inspect and clean under the deck, and sharpen the blades.
I noticed on another site "Piney Grove", they were testing a Kubota zero turn, that moving a couple pins on the front, and turning an adjustment on front, you can literally lift up the front of mower/deck to access it.
Other brands, and apparently this Toro, you need to use another piece of equipment, to lift it up.
Perhaps Toro will add a similar feature to this zero turn, and then it's high price you posted, will greatly motivate us to pay to have one.
I love that "suspension" though!?
To easier access underneath the deck I drive the mower halfway up the trailer gate. That offers much more access than deck up on flat surface.

That's cool, but I am probably going to get an Altoz mower. When I delivered a load of stainless steel there, they took me on a tour of their plant and I fell in love with their mowers. Also a lot of lawn care companies have them also and they said they will never get another kind of mower again. So that definitely sold me on them for sure. Don't get me wrong, I've owned a lot of Toro's in my life and they do last a long time. There also made here in my state. 😊
tracks are horribly destructive on the land my friend
@Stoney Ridge Farmer oh no I'm not going to get that one. That thing is a freaking monster, lol.
This is the first zero turn that I want! The suspension system is genius! Would be easy on my bad back....good review!

If only I had a nice large sized yard. I live in town and really dont need a rider mower or zero turn but with saying that Ive got a Cub 2206 garden tractor for mowing a majority of it then my Honda push mower for the tight spots. Someday I'll have a nice big yard and a zero turn!
Oh my... only if you ran a landscaping company these days. 5 days a week of mowing, you better know we run in the rain and we dont have any problems with spindles and we run our machines for 1500ish hours(our machines have greasable spindles, never run any without. Grease everything once a week, i think we do 20-23 hours a week on a mower)
there's a huge difference in running a commercial mower 30 hours a week and keeping up a residential mower that's sitting in the garage and used 2 hours a week though ...wouldn't you agree brother? What happens is people run them in the wet and don't clean them....park them in the garage wet and they rust up. Blow it off and park it...wash it a couple times per season. The average homeowner might put 30 hours on a mower a year ...best to simply run it in the dry ....blow it off and park my friend
@@StoneyRidgeFarmer oh ya residential mowers are not as tuffff
On kawasaki, do not screw in to check level, and always check on level ground.
Have you tried the V's one hand controller? If so, does it work?
There is something for everyone, but I'll keep my Ferris diesel. Awesome mower. It's rides like a 4-wheeler with a mower deck.
I have an old 50” Hustler with absolutely zero suspension. I’ve hit ruts that have practically jarred my teeth loose. I’d love to have one of these. Being a military retiree with 20+ years of active duty I do have some back issues. What vet doesn’t though? Too bad these baby’s cost almost $13,000.
No armrest is a deal breaker! Just kidding, but the way they designed the fuel tank makes it complicated to do maintenance. Imo
Ceramic coating a new mower helps keep the dirt and grime to a minimal.
I'm sorry Josh. When I took the lead to the Toro site its shows your mower on sale at $10,299. Way the heck out of my pocket book. I mow about 3-1/2 acres with a Cub Cadet. Going to try buying the newer suspension with 3 inches of suspension in it. My zero turn was under $3,000 and with the suspension I'm buying still under $3,000 I may be wrong but other than guys running a business of landscaping I don't think there are too many homeowners that can afford that level of a machine. It's kind of like Polaris just came out with a new 5 seater SXS and if you get all the options your at $66,210. Why? I'd rather buy a Jeep Wrangler than that Polaris. But enjoy, I'm just dreaming about a machine like yours
Nice mower, but that fuel gauge location needs to be relocated. I can easily see that getting covered with debris and not be visible at all.
why would debris be up there?
Dust on a mower gets everywhere. I could see that gauge getting covered up pretty quickly, and hard to access to wipe it off.
@@StoneyRidgeFarmer ...lol....You're kidding....right?
Fuel up at lunch, and fuel up end of day and you should be fine.
Fuel up at lunch, and fuel up end of day and you should be fine.
hey how do you get to try all this equipment??
Stirred but not shaken. Top the mower off with an olive. Best way to cut lawn and cover every square inch of un-mowed lawn out there.
A mower for $11,000 should have a TV and bathroom built into it. Just saying.
Probably only thing it doesn’t come with is an operator….way to go Toro.

Can you mow step sidehills with this 0-turn mower?
This is one of the better zero turn models for hill sides. The center of gravity is lower than most. I picked that model with the standard seat for that reason. His other mower is the best for steep hills. They say to not use it the toro on slopes greater than 15 degrees. I have almost nothing that is less steep. Go slow go straight up and down steep areas be sure there is nothing new like a fire ant hill that will cause jumping or sudden changes in movement. I still use my brush cutter on some slopes. Not worth life or limb. As you get more familiar with the machine and the hills you will learn how to do it better. Cut the hill first the longer grass at the bottom acts as a cushion if things go south.
The Cub Cadet zero turns with steering wheels are best for slopes.
Had grasshopper with 61" cut. With a flick of switch mower deck would come up 90 degrees to change blades. And with buffalo blower on front could blow leaves or parking lot clean.

I tell my clients I’ll finish a yard in the rain never start one in the rain it makes a mess and nobody is happy . I do use water to clear the deck of build up cause I mulch only .
👌🏻
What was the hp of that mower?
I'll keep my keep my Country Clipper, same motor, no plastic, made in Iowa. Kawasaki are fast!
Yessir...it may be made in Iowa....but it's not made of 100% USA sourced parts. I think time has taught us that plastics will outlast the mower in most cases....better to tote around less weight than more for the sake of "metal" parts my brother
I like metal.
I would not trust setting your cell phone in that holder :) It will bounce out - believe me.
I've lost a cell phone on a mower before too lol....just gotta keep an eye on it
➕Like 👍 y’all Intro Music 🎶😉🤙🏼📍🦘
You could let that grass grow and make some hay there.
yep...that's my lawn though lol
Josh, I was always told by my father to mow no faster then a 2, so I always use the lowiest speed. He said it cuts much better and you get a better looking cut. Is there any truth in this?
As soon as you start to bounce all around you will get a worse cut. But most people probably don’t really see the difference and would also like to be done in half the time
Totally true. The faster you go cut quality goes down. Not saying to creep along but it’s easy to see what speed you should be at.
there is no "2" on a zero turn buddy....you just mow at the speed that's most effective, efficient and to your skill level as you mow...got your email fyi...all is well buddy!
@@StoneyRidgeFarmer I have a riding mower
My Toro Timecutter has 3 speeds. Turtle, Rabbit and in between.
Oh no!! Never cut wet grass, just a mess.
Not too bad for $10,300, but can only tow 250 lbs, same as EGO Zero Mower 42" for $5999, Ryobi 46" lawn tractor can tow 500 for $5,499. I only have an acre and want something that I can use to haul mulch and what not around, as well as cut grass, but that's what I need.
I honestly don't think you should use a zero turn mower as a "tow rig" in most cases.....you're talking about 2 low end consumer grade mowers that won't last half as long as this...I guess that's why they rate towing capacity at 500lbs...because the longevity of the machine won't outlast it's towing ability
What's the story on the little Yanmar outside parked by a tree?
oooh...somebody's looking...more on that little fella soon...it was abandoned by my neighbor and "locked up"...not so much in my opinion!
@@StoneyRidgeFarmer Just bought my 7th: JD 850 built by Yanmar in the 1980's. Hoye Tractor is the go to place for parts.
I will stick with my SCAG!
the best isn't for everyone lol just pulling your strings buddy...Scag makes a great mower
So you have a Toro mower and a Toro mooer.
The first time you drive a Zero-Turn, a 40-acre field works the best, do not be near ponds, ditches, creeks, the road, your cars, or the wife's flowerbed, you will thank me later........... LOL
Agreed

USB port on a mower🙄
Where is your wife does she help any more😊😊
she's no longer here buddy....more to come on this situation. I'll explain it soon
@@StoneyRidgeFarmer ....Looks like a pretty good trade.
Why in the world do you need a little mower 😮 it needs a mulch cover not a plastic shoot they just get in the way.
yep you can get a mulch kit and a bag kit for it buddy....what's the difference if it all ends up back on the lawn?
I had a JD with a Kawasaki engine it was junk 800 hours blew up never own anything with that engine again
maintenance...maintenance and more maintenance my brother
So how do you explain that a 24 hp Kawasaki mower engine is more powerful than a Kohler 27 hp efi engine or a 32 hp that you mentioned?
U r using that zero turn lawn mower because u promoting it!!?
