Sometimes certain spiritual places and people have such high vibrations which invoke something in our souls which in day-to-day life we don't experience. Those vibrations are so pure and high compared to our energy which is the reason why the negativity, tension, pain, stress which was embedded in our soul comes out through tears and sometimes even laughs. I have experienced this too during my visits to Shirdi and even I was so confused. It's the most beautiful feeling. Hope this helps.
