A new reality web series drag competition hosted by the Boulet Brothers airing every other Monday on Hey Qween ! In this episode the remaining queens are taken to Death Valley to face a challenge that will begin to tear at their resolve and relationships with one another. Tensions are high and the contestants face the most shocking elimination yet in their battle for the crown of DRAGULA.

Loris look was everything. It didn't really belong to the challenge but it was SICKENING and she outdid herself by pealing off her mask and eating the brains besides being vegan. Love her.

i totally though it was some dead bunny that had been animal tested on. Thats what i got from it at least. a different take but a really genius one
Nasty Muse: Sojin I thought it was amazing. And like drag race i felt that it wasn't understood because it was a concept outside of american culture. And i think its unfair to say it wasn't exceptional because they dont understand anything outside the realm of western ideals. It is a zombie just a Japanese gamer style of zombie bunny.
Considering she's a vegan activist and what not, the animal testing angle for the costume was fucking brilliant.

I totally agree. Loris would have won this challenge if it were up to me. I feel like she's definitely the underdog and if you've seen any "other" shows about Drag Queens; hint hint. We all know an underdog always makes it to the final three.

Being a massive consumer of Japanese horror and Japanese anime, I totally got Loris' zombie bunny look right away (I even squealed a little when I first saw her). I think the Boulet Brothers are just used to classic European tropes for horror, so that kind of reference just went over their heads.
Megan Breen I disagree. They are very smart people. It just wasn't what they were looking for in the challenge. Also, she really looked more just like a rabid bunny than a zombie. The look slayed but knowing loris she totally could've done the bunny and made it into a rotting zombie.
Ummmm can you give an example of a Japanese zombie bunny in Japanese film or animation. I've searched and found nothing.
Closest thing are just a product line, like Gloomy bear, (not from Japanese films mind you) called Zombbit, which Loris looks nothing like.

Vander deserves way more screen time! She's gorgeous, funny and fabulously shocking.
Loris and Vander's look are literally what nightmares are made of and its sickening.
I love this because on Drag Race they would've made a huge scene out of Lorris' wannabe-epic "I'm not gonna go home today" moment but like this it simply came off as awkward and underwhelming.

I didn't really see anything 'cool' about that scene she made, especially since firstly she didnt even want to do it, then she held her super dramatic speech and then she couldn't even get to it right away because she had to awkwardly remove her prosthetics, while the others had already eaten at least half of their brains. Like, girl, just stop talking and get to it. Kinda reminded me of that "Mother has arrived" moment from RPDR.

Loris was everything. I loved how she tried to give a different interpretation of the typical zombie and she ate the pig brains even though she's vegan. Now thats commitment.

No I actually wouldn't. Drag race is (in my opinion) making queens all the same and giving a very one dimensional idea of what drag is therefore Vanders drag wouldn't be allowed to be as dramatic and creative as she usually is. Just my opinion though

#teamloris she actually won extra points from me for the unique Anime Zombie Bunny look. I kinda felt bad that she's a vegan/vegetarian(?) and had to eat pig brains. So I think they made the right choice keeping her. She and Vander definitely have the right visions to win this thing.

@@KatieLizzy-uy4xs I think the mask part was Everything. The 3D is what sold it, creating the depth. Everyone has seen a skull face paint, there's only so much you can do and it would have looked off with her other skeleton parts being very 3D if her face was just flat and it's not like the mask was paintless.

I'm a huge fan of RPDR and now I'm also a fan of Dragula. I believe that both of these shows are going to raise the bar for all the creative and new things we will see from future competitors.
Clearly, Vander is now a triple threat... he has EVERYTHING it takes to be the winner. He has not been in the bottom but he VOLUNTEERED to be in the bottom with the other two contestants. The other girls should keep an eye on him! The only thing that sucks about Vander being such a strong competitor is if he makes a tiny slip-up it is going to be such a major issue. Usually on reality shows when someone has a bad day, it is pretty much enhanced as a major flaw. So hopefully he doesn't trip up and if he does... hopefully he catches himself before he mentally beats himself up and checks out.
Vander is fucking COMING for this competition, and bitch deserves the shit outta that title. The level of creativity and novelty behind her looks is absolutely blowing me out of the water. Many people think that there's only one queen that can do spooky, and that's Sharon, and while I love her, Vander is DEFINITELY proving that she can bring an entirely new aesthetic and fierceness to spooky drag. I want this bitch to gar fucking FAR.

Why are people praising Loris when Vander was amazing this episode? Loris looked good but that no fucking zombie. On the other hand, Vander was a zombie and was just perfect. She even went up for extermination just to prove shes all around a bad ass creative bitch. Vander's been slaying everyweek but i feel in the comments section shes kinda underrated. Seriously, wtf?

Loris always looks nervous, her week one look was kinda meh. I'm not saying she's not talented in putting on a look, but it's stressing how she's taking a lot of credit for things she isn't doing on the show, she is not the mvp.
I just feel upset that Vander is clearly being the best every week but still people underlook her. Plus Loris is so whinny.

Loris is part of the really smart Queens that don't just draw inspiration from Western influence. A lot of it does get lost in translation with these high calibre figures in drag like the Brothers and Rupaul alumni. However, if they asked where these inspirations come from and learnt the various sides of art I think it would increase creativity expectations of both shows. Though this is low budget, looking at Ruapauls drag race bores me now. I keep on thinking 'what if' when I see queens that do the same pretty fishy look now. Hopefully this is a wake-up call to all drag queens that they need to up their fuckin game and explore.
Loris' look was SICKENING!! I was so there for that anime inspired, zombie-bunny fantasy. Sure, it wasn't a typical zombie, but she had the best look by far. And she's a vegan! I felt so bad when she had to eat those brains. :( But she sure gave it her all! Did it even though she didn't have to, and didn't complain. I am COMPLETELY 100% #TeamLoris

This show never fails to show me how creative and unique it is. In a world where (as much as I love it) drag can sometimes only be seen as a few select things, I love seeing such a different platform!!

Vander's critique was bullshit. You couldn't have done what she did with makeup. I agreed with them on Frankie though. She has raw talent, but her looks are sloppy.
M LT Prosthetics are basically the same thing. Their complaint was that something was covering the face, which prosthetics wouldn't have fixed.
M LT I know exactly how they work. But when you do prosthetics to this extent, it is a mask. And I would agree with the blending if we were talking about a prosthetic nose or something, where the seam would break an illusion. In this case, it wouldn't have made a world of difference.
M LT I have literally DONE prosthetics before. Just because I disagree with you doesn't mean I don't know what I am talking about. I am well aware that prosthetics are blended in with the skin using latex/wax, and then covered with makeup. I promise you, I'm not that stupid. I just wouldn't be much more impressed if her jawbones were seamlessly attached to her face. As opposed to a nose or ear, which has to be an actual finished prosthetic in order to look even halfway decent.

Melissa stepped up her game, and is now a serious contender. I still think Vander has the edge right now, but it could go either way.

Connor Hughes My top three was meatball, Vander & xochi I honestly didn't think Lorris was that great (and she was one of my favorites) her costume was so dull and simple also I didn't think she did that good in the acting challenge.
I just love how they treat their girls. They are these dark monsters in a filthy and often violent show.. yet they mother these queens and are so kind and encouraging with their critiques..

I really like all the girls within this show. They are all so positive and help each other out yet they are all aware of the things they can improve on. Don't get me wrong I love drama, but it's so refreshing to see constructive positivity and a well balanced, kind group dynamic despite differences :)

Foxy's look was ok. Which isn't fine when you have some excellent artistry and the ability to slay your character during the acting part selling your creativity. Loris creative will only get better. Foxy was defeated before the challenge.
I love how in the beginning you can see her slightly fumble to grab the phone with her nails
i loved that and whenever they try to kiss or hug each other and remember they got too many cosmetics on to smudge so they just sort of air kiss
How is no one clocking the Boulet Brothers on their acting? It's like someone took the biggest bottoms and told them to top, on camera.
Eh, they're campy. Devine wasn't the best actress of all time either, bruh.
Bri Vee that's a terrible example. Yeah Divine wasn't traditionally great, but she was definitely camp. Camp is larger than life, it's over the top, its comedic and energetic. Camp is not dull and flat like the Boulet Brothers' drag personalities.
@Finnjamin James, I think it's a fine example. I dont think the Boulet Brothers capitalize on comedy like Divine and they aren't acting. They're Judges. But their horror looks are on top of it and that's pretty much what this series revolves around, sooo... and besides, have you seen any other web drag series up to this level of production? I'm just sayin. I hear you though.
