    I had bronchitis once and I coughed so hard that I tore my intercostal muscles. It took months to heal completely. It was the worst pain I've ever felt in my life.

      @@nelsoncaraig3120 This was years ago, but at the time I was put on massive antibiotics, an albuterol inhaler and a sort of Vicodin cough syrup. I was on all that for at least a month. It cleared up finally.

    Pulmonary infiltrates are just part of restrictive lung disease. Ailments like black lung disease, asbestosis, emphysema, and chronic bronchitis can set off fibrosis in the lungs that can cause such disease.

    I have suddenly developed unfulfilled stiff breathing / also breathlessness with exertion...my chest doesn't pain. (apparently post booster), I've gotten a lung function test ( spirometry), a chest CT and multiple blood tests...all are clear...but since the past 6 weeks, 24/7 almost, I am always conscious of my breathing and it's debilitating. I'm homebound and can't enjoy simple things. What is it? Please help.
