That shoe is really well done design wise. It really does callback a lot of 90s language,……and yes, I used to love all the abbreviated logos for the air systems used in the shoes, like Mx, TL, Tn and Zm! 🤓❤️🔥

The colorway also reminds me of the Air Max Triax 96. THOSE are the shoes that made me want to wear Nikes. Still trying to get my first pair of those.
These are beautiful! Very strange that they didn’t bother to put the dual visible air in the forefoot, since that’s classic tailwind, but I still like them. So 90’s.
Love my Nike AM Tailwind 4s. Have been my dailies for a few years now. Such a durable shoe and still comfortable after, what I estimate, at least 300 wears. These look like a great replacement. Thanks for the review.
Same here when I saw the 1st visible tech air shoe. Effin blew my mind. My parents could never afford them but my 1st pair of Nike I bought myself def had a air max 360 unit. Then when Deon and B. Sanders got their own shoe I copped those too. Man I wish they would retro release those. I used to draw up new designs for both those players in high school.
love these. your comment on how disappointed as a kid when you tried your first nike airs reminded me of my first ever pair, the nike air sc2. the air was super underwhelming but i loved them. I wish they would come out again.
You can never go wrong with a Nike air max 1 , 1985 and still look so good today 2022 especially OG colourways

So interested in these! To my knowledge, cushlon was first introduced in the Vomero 1, in 2006. That shoe was MAD marshmallow feeling and cushy. Loved wearing it despite how narrow the forefoot was. Nike toned that sensation down in the Vomero 2, a lot, sadly.

Honestly after trying my true size and half size down I’ll say…they run TTS. If you go half size down they will be too small.

Not really an homage to the OG Tailwinds, but as per the TW moniker implies, these are quite literally just an Air Max Tailwind. For me, it's missing the forefoot air max unit unlike the other 90s Air Max Tailwind models. It's like a "lite" version. Great video as always!
These are dope and they are my high school colors. They remind me of the tailwind 5 which was one of my first and favorite air max.
Love the look of these, but there's so many casual shoes these days it's hard to pull the trigger.
I’m showing them love bro I’ve had them since the release day which I think I’ve had them for about two weeks now and I love them they are are the Dopest air maxes that aren’t a retro that are not a complete retro. I totally agree with you Chris.

felt the exact same way when I saw the listed as 'coming soon' on the app. I hope we see more colorways though. yellow and royal is a bit too avant grade for me to pull off in a casual setting. Conversely, I think the black is just a tad too boring for me to hit that 'buy' button.

Man these are dope! I ran my Huaraches into the ground and was looking for another pair of dope, well cushioned Nikes and these look good... But the yen being weak got Nike hiking all the prices up it's crazy out here in Japan 🤷🏻♂️

I grew up in the '80s and part of the '90s a bit but I had the Nike Cortez was my first Nike and then I had the Nike Air cross trainers of the '90s and also in the 90s I had the Air Max 180 Charles Barkley's they were all all black and I had the white and purple and black ones also

I got these and the light blue and beige ones... And got my son the black and white ones
That blue yellow is outrageous , ive recently got these and wear them for three weeks now, i have no particular problem with them, and i like them a lot. Toe seems to be well thought out against at least some impacts without sacrificing design very much which is cool imo. Everyone recommends going half down a size cause they are bit big, so i purchased the exact size of my feet and they are just fine with some space in front just as i like, since i wanted a shoe that is tight but not painfully tight, i usually buy one size larger than my feet to be 100% sure they wont be tight but these fits nicely, I got the exact same colorway as in this video and maaan its gorgeous, i love how that vibrant blue that color blows my eyes everytime and with that yellow combo and overall design its just so 90's that it reminds me subaru impreza 😀+ they are comfy, bouncy but not too soft , well vented and all that stuff
i literally hate cleaning exterior of the shoe i rather wear them when there is no rain, mud wont do them well i guess, but at least the textile parts on the shoe except the tongue are more blue than white so cleaning should not be that terrible after all

Can I ask did you go your exact size as in what you normally would with other brands, running shoes etc? I'm like you wanting a bit of space in front. Some Air Max sizes seem to run a little short in length and so gotta go maybe a half size up e.g. the old Tailwind 4
@@Matteo27 I bought these for regular walking on daily basis , i do not run in these and i wanted a shoe that is tighter than usual but not like painfully tight. Since people generally consider TW to be bit larger and i have 39 EUR size of a foot, ive purchased these pair of shoes in exact 39 EUR size as well just because i wanted to try out how exact same size of a shoe from NIKE would fit and im pleasantly suprised, it is the first shoe that i can literally feel tip of a toe front end of a shoe and it doesnt hurt even after all day of walkin in them.
I never wore NIKE in 39 before and dont have good experience with other brands going with exact same size of a foot, i usually buy 40 EUR just to be sure they will fit. if i would go running then maybe i would prefer 40 size for even more space cause imo they would also fit good.
i also purchased AJ 13 recently too and they are even 40 EUR size but since front end of shoe is bit narrower than usual , after few hours in them i really want to put them down cause it hurts, i really dont have athletic kind of a feet
@@Kaiserschlacht1 just picked up a pair that arrived in the all black colour and they are true size not narrow or running short like some others in the Air Max range. No need to size up wear whatever you do in regular running shoes even with a bit of a wider foot like me (Adidas,Reebok, Skechers). They're nice!

I had a pair of maxes in 98 that look like those with the directional design but had a air max 93 mid sole… can’t find a pic nowhere
