SETH'S WIFE: Thanks for your little apology, Seth. But it doesn't help Amy Winehouse, who is still very, very dead.
fidorover is she still dead?
I'm not it a sports fan but as a crazy intense fangirl of other things, I toootally relate to this
lol seth definitely got into a huge fight with his family and this is his way of making ammends. "would it make you feel better if i did a bit about you on late night.... buddy?"
Exactly what I was thinking...
I mean, I can understand what you’re saying, but he only tells stories about his wife & her family when he is the one at fault.
Love my host even more. As a die hard Steelers fan I know how a loss affects me right after.
It is actually funny how they "beep" the "hole"-part of asshole, and not the "ass". ;-)
+Lena R Asses are fine. Anuses are gross. Just saying "hole" doesn't imply anuses. Not a complicated concept.
+Lena R aren't you really super glad that tokugawa cleared that up for you?....bhahahaha
T'Town Tim yeah, now I can rest in peace. ;-)
I just realized why I like Seth so much: he bares a striking resemblance to a total and complete douchebag. Yet he's always so humble and mocks himself etc. At least on camera that is. Also when he started asking if he was going to do that to his kid, I thought it was the whole "taking-his-disappointments-out-on-him"... But it was "making him the kind of guy who gets that disappointed at football". And I'm like dude.
kids
it's not just on camera, everyone who works with him says he is the nicest
my reaction to the steelers was exactly the same haha
Oh me too! 🖤💛🖤💛
I totally understand your sadness and anger Seth!! #Steeler Nation!!!
hell after the steelers lose half of Pittsburgh calls off work. i live here i know
True!
I know right! You can feel a low hanging cloud over Pittsburgh on a monday morning after a sunday game loss! Oh scratch that the morning after any day of the week the Steelers play!
Oh god, I mixed this up with 2017. SAME SITUATION.
Very introspective, I'm impressed.
The kick cat effect. In Seth's case, that's when Steelers sucked the whole season, he turned to shout at his family, and started making jokes of Brady on the show much more frequently.
That was exactly my reaction hahaha
Football does this to a fan. I often ask myself why I am yelling at the TV. The players and coaches can't hear me. If they could hear me, I am sure they would call security or laugh at me or maybe both. I grew up a fan of the Steelers in the 70s. Because I picked the Black & Gold as "my" team, I came to hate the Cowboys, the Raiders and the Oilers. I was cheering for grown men wearing Black & Gold to beat the snot out of the grown men wearing the colors of the opponents. My college team was (still is) Tennessee. I'm not sure how many objects I have thrown at the wall, on the floor or at the TV because these college kids wearing the Orange & White made a mistake or a play didn't work. After a loss, most everyone I knew was feeling bummed out that week. When I moved to New Orleans, I became a Saints fan. They were my Black & Gold team in the NFC. There were many dark years as a frustrated fan of the Who Dats.
One of the few times I have had a transcendent experience from football was thanks to the Saints after experiencing Katrina and the levee failures. The first game back in the Superdome was epic. When Steve Gleason blocked the Atlanta punt and the ball was recovered for a TD, the heavens opened up and the football gods smiled down upon us. The Saints success that year really helped bring the community together and allow the citizens of our region to heal. This process culminated with the Super Bowl win to cap off the incredible 2009 season. Everywhere you went in the city, you had a friend (or friends) thanks to the Black & Gold. We were all Who Dats in the Who Dat Nation. I hope that tragic circumstances that traumatized our region never repeats again but I will savor it for as long as I breathe because it was pretty damned special to live through when the Saints won.
I've learned to stop living & dying with my Vols, Steelers and Saints. I enjoy the wins and just move on from the losses because football is just a game. I no longer act like an ass when my team struggles with losses. There is always next year!
this feels more like Seth's show than a typical late night show
Yes.
Too Funny!
Same here, except it is reversed, I am the Pittsburgher who lives in another state but is still a hard core Steelers fan. I have my original Terrible Towel from the 70's when the Steelers won FOUR Super Bowls in SIX years and won the "one for the thumb" in 1980 (meaning super bowl rings to those who haven't a clue). My husband doesn't care at all about football. But I love him anyway.
And most Steeler fans drink beer not water when viewing, but you live in NY now, so maybe it changed you.
What is that tune right at the end of the clip? I like it.
+Buskieboy The program's closing theme.
Is there a full version somewhere? It sounds nice and I'd also like to have it as a ringtone.
+Buskieboy I don' know, but I think they don't have.
couldn't*
Seth - Awesome !! - I grew up in Pittsburgh and lived there 27 years - I have now lived in Bedford, New Hampshire for 28 - GO STEELERS !!
I can relate to it 100 %
I get it Seth... and you're not alone buddy! Steelers fans are diehard!
Watching Suit Seth is weird... It's 2023!
Nah this is actually such a fact, like bro my happiness fucken is tied to somethin Im not in control in, lmaooooo. SO please Steelers/Texans, get us in the playoffs, ahhhhhh
Lol
And Seth is a West Ham too.? So much sporting pain...💔
Come on, Seth, you're a writer. Couldn't care less
Hmm.....
I too am a steelers fan that drives my family crazy by screaming at the players through the T.V. as if they can hear me.so I feel Seth's pain.
"she could care less ..." means she cares, because she could care less than she does ... "couldn't care less", I believe he meant.
I am you, litterly
COULDN'T care less!
I understand your pain
I admire Seth Meyers and love this show ; but I really think that level of irrational anger over sports is not necessary.
go steelers!
he made it funny when he told us about his being angry
how could he?
I love sports I just hate football.
COULDN'T care less. Incidentally, I should care less about that mistake americans make, but it still bugs me...
+Xelif37 I could care less...
MISTERComaToes Meaning you literally could care less, so you care a little. Thanks? Do you not see how fucking confusing your statement is? The real problem is why do I care so much, David Mitchell's Soapbox might be the answer haha
Xelif37 Yes, I could care less, because I actually did care enough to write that. Personally, I think the degradation of of the English language over the last part of the 20th century and the entirety of the 21st (so far) is deplorable. Ironically, while the internet and texting have perhaps raised the overall level of literacy in the western world, (because you have to TEXT or you are not cool) the rise of English butchering text messages seems to have eroded the level of vocabulary on average. So, yes indeed, I could care less!
Go Steelers!
SETH. Buy a Red Sox onesie for Ashe. YOU KNOW YOU WANNA. (And plus it'd get a bunch of likes on Instagram...or at least...that's what I THINK. >.>)
Pats OWN the Steelers
STEELERS FAN LOVES NANA WOMEN’S TANK TOP

He's NOT from Pittsburgh he went to CMU that's like a person going to Harvard and saying theyre Bostonian
Must suck not being a Broncos fan
there's few things more depressing in life than a steeler's loss......
Never liked Seth myers more than when i found out he is a Steelers Fan
One more reason to hate Seth Myers!
then why are you watching his show on youtube
then why are you watching his show on youtube
+K Shaw Because he doesn't like the same professional sports team you do? That's rational...
+CantonDem13 clearly you're not a sports fan. It's all in good fun, but this guy is a tool.
+Charlotte Whitney trust me, I wasn't watching this clown.
"I watched it alone... with my wife" emotionally alone you mean
my reaction to the steelers was exactly the same haha
