Just leaving this here incase someone sees it cos I found another solution. None of these options in the video worked for me so if you’re having the same problem as me with the red dot and voicemail notification then get someone to call you and leave you a voicemail, you just have to listen to it and either save or delete and the red dot disappeared! Worked like a charm. Hope this helps anyone
Apple support advise it was an app monitoring my phone activities- I believe a corporation or someone using AI to monitor your phone activities - eventually the red dot went away, and return when others are wanting to find out information about your destinations and phone activities. Hello!

A complete waste of my time watching this video. Does not work.
This is a terrible video, the data reset deleted all my settings including have to reenter all my Wi-Fi passwords, Apple Pay cards etc. don’t reset
