Apollo 1 Tragedy

On January 21, 1967, all three astronauts who were to fly on Apollo 1 the first test of the three-man capsule were killed in a training exercise on the launch pad when a fire quickly engulfed the capsule. Those dead were Gus Grissom, Edward H White II and Roger B Chaffee
