FILM DESCRIPTION:
While looking through his telescope one night, John Putnam (Richard Carlson) sees what at first appears to be a meteor shower -- but it is actually a crash-landing alien spaceship! After investigating the crater from the impact, John informs the town sheriff (Charles Drake), and receives nothing but ridicule. Even his fiancée, Ellen (Barbara Rush), is skeptical. All that changes when the townsfolk start disappearing, and are replaced by eerie alien duplicates.

RIP....Barbara Rush xoxo
RIP Barbara Rush🌹 1927-2024 and thanks for the memories 💗📽⭐️💐
The "Professor" (Gilligan's Island) as a younger man. 😮
This was a good movie and that Barbara Rush was such a knockout! She was born 01/04/27, so she'll be 96 in a few days!
She sure was cute!
I wonder what the audience would think when they saw this sci-fi horror movies back in that time
I was a kid back then. And Loved it. Saturday morning movies.
@@mesquiteguy121 Nostalgia, Am I right?
I was about 6 when I saw it, and I thought it was really scary. Even for an adult, the part where they see the alien close up is slightly scary in 3D (but not in 2D), because they made it so that the alien seems to be so close to you that you can't quite focus on it ... so your imagination makes it even scarier.
Of course, as a 6-year-old I also thought that Abbott and Costello Meet the Mummy was scary too. (Disclaimer: it's not!) I had to take my 3D glasses off every time the mummy was shown, so that I wouldn't have to look at it clearly.
Six-year-olds are more sophisticated now.
In fact, with this series of videos I have finally found out after all these years what the alien looks like -- disappointingly.
@@dudleybrooks515 Sounds like a great expireance. Thank you for sharing it with me.
My favorite Sci-Fi movie.
I was about 14 when this movie came out and it gave me a soul-wrenching fright. Then, I had to ride my bicycle three miles home at night on an isolated rural highway with no light of any kind and no moon. But, I had it better than both my younger brother and sister, who walked. Things were certainly a lot different in rural Oregon in the early 50's.
Alien Trespass was such a good inspired remake of this film. Though not a direct remake. I really recommend people check that one out
Shawn Tipton - I’m watching “It Came From Outer Space” because of “Alien Trespass”. I watched “Alien Trespass” a few weeks ago and later saw some clips from “It Came From Outer Space” and the similarities were obviously not coincidences.
Barbara Rush was gorgeous in 1953, but the actress in “Alien Trespass” dialed the Hot Meter to 11! I’m sure that wasn’t a coincidence either.
3D here..several years ago a local theatre showed a 3D movie it was pretty awesum. This one must have been pretty good.
He looks like Heath Ledger.
don´t be afraid, it´s just a lovecraftian monster, babe
Like any creation, movies morph over time. But these may look cheesy now in HD on large screens. However, given what was out there for horror movies, these were creepy in black and white, and on 15" screens, with pictures sometimes fading in and out due to poor reception (rabbit ears?).
That said, I still find the 1954 The Thing (From Another World) as creepy as any slasher movie today.
Russell Johnson. the Professor.
Professor, where’s Gilligan? Or the skipper, too?
Dead
George has had too match ovaltine on his Cheerios.
More like clowns from outer space
bite a fart
Typical response from an actual clown!
It is of its time. Just like movies of our time will be laughed at, by future shallow versions of you.
