So much power, your teeth (and the camera) will chatter. 😍 Go on board with Matt Hagan and the Dodge Mopar Motorsports team as he warms up ahead of Q1 at NHRA's #BrainerdNats!
Been right next to one of these during start up. I don't know how these guys deal with the nitro methane. My eyes and nose began to burn like I had just eaten a habanero chili pepper!!!
Like anything, you can build a tolerance to it. It'll still get some crewpeople depending on the wind and where they are standing. Some just won't admit it gets to them lol.
Driving it, NOT working on it, haha. Friday night qualifying, the car goes through the lights......KABOOM! Owner/driver go back to the hotel. The crew wrenches all night to put it back together. Those guys earn their money!!!!!!
It sucks, but it costs money and performance. They are fun to do too. Wish the nhra would pay like a stipend for them, or if there was a way to madate AND enforce them.
Got his autograph once at Pomona. Super nice dude.
Ah yes, the smell of burning nitro!💥💨
Nothin on earth like the burning sensation of nitromethan ..

I think the nitro is their oxygen at this point, they can’t breathe without it
I know the feeling David. I experienced that at Route 66. Watching Matt warm up his funny car
U kno there shit is burnt up.. can't smell or taste.. can't believe they can still hear shit
It was like I had just cut a habanero and rubbed my nose

Was there for that, got a pic with Matt 👍💪
I dig how the car is staying still but the rest of the shot is rattling around…cool perspective
Best job in the world, much?😒😎👍

@@1qwkvr6 It's a dirty job, but somebody's gotta do it.
WTF! NO WHACK? BOGUS. And by the way, the sound quality of your little Go-Pro is quite cheezy. C'mon guys
I don't think they seat the clutch pack like they use to..
